Chapter 285: Chapter 157: Getting the Ring - The Death of Isus (Monthly Ticket Please!)
Isus struggled to keep calm and realized the problem, someone must have tipped Coyle off, otherwise they would never have been able to pin down their location directly.
But, how did they communicate the information?
"Hahaha... Haha..." Coyle was still laughing uproariously.
Everyone watched the crazed Coyle, each with a different expression in their eyes.
This guy seemed more like a madman than a meticulously cunning conspirator.
"Coyle, what do you want to do?"
After a moment, Feder spoke, as Isus had been captured, he was the highest-ranking person here, and it was only right for him to step forward.
"Your Highness!" Before Coyle could speak, accompanied by a roaring sound, Morico returned, his aura terrifying, as if solidified into substance.
Seeing the scene before him, he immediately wanted to rush forward but forcibly stopped himself, clenching his fists.
Duke Bai Ye followed closely behind, even more dumbstruck, a storm of shock stirring in his heart.
Isus had been captured? How could it have come to this? He struggled to react to the rapid change of events, feeling even more like disaster was imminent.
"First, make them extinguish all the warships."
"What else can I do, extinguish all the warships!" Coyle surveyed everyone, his expression sinister.
"Impossible!" Feder immediately refused, "You should understand that the Yitelan Civilization would never compromise with any terrorist organization."
Isus’s eyes were bloodshot as he stared intently at Feder.
"Duke Feder!" Morico suddenly turned his head.
"I’m just a negligible member of Torch, to be here and kill Isus would also be worth it." Coyle smirked.
Feder’s expression wavered; of course, he hoped Coyle would just kill Isus, but he couldn’t be too obvious about that sentiment.
"Extinguish all the warships, only activate the temporary hovering systems." Feder issued the command.
The staff nervously entered the commands, and with a sound of systems crashing, all the screens went dark, backup lights came on.
The warship systems had been shut down, and restarting them would take a considerable amount of time, during which, aside from the hovering systems, all weapons and surveillance systems were also down.
"Second, have them prepare an interstellar spacecraft for you."
"I want an interstellar spacecraft, the energy must be fully charged." Coyle emphasized.
"If we meet your demands, will you release Isus?" Feder asked, frowning.
"Too much nonsense, you’re Feder right? It seems you two have some grudges," Coyle whispered into Isus’s ear, "hasn’t he wanted you dead? Haven’t you noticed?"
Feder’s face twitched, he said sternly, "I know you want to escape from here, but you can’t take Isus with you."
"So are you offering to be my hostage instead? Save your brother?" Coyle countered.
Feder inwardly cursed, his performance not at all matching his thoughts, appearing impulsive when in reality every sentence hit the mark.
After this incident, if Isus survived, he would likely target him even more.
"If you can assure that you will release Isus before boarding the spacecraft, I will prepare the interstellar spaceship for you," Feder emphasized.
"No problem." Coyle agreed readily.
Feder gestured, and Isus’s deputy quickly went to make arrangements.
"Good, I now want to head to the spaceport, but all class B life forms must not follow, Feder, you come with me." Coyle continued.
"Impossible." Feder immediately shook his head, "That’s too insincere, what if you take me hostage too?"
"There must be one class B life form with me."
"Let that guy next to you come along, no one else, or else..." Coyle’s hand tightened, and Isus immediately let out a piercing scream.
"Alright..." Feder hesitated, reluctantly agreeing, when suddenly, Coyle said, "Wait, I’ve changed my mind, that guy named Li Ming also has to come."
"Then there must be another class B life form with us!" Feder bargained.
Coyle smirked, "You think this is buying groceries? I just want to escape, both of you are important figures, once I release him, that Sanger must protect you, he wouldn’t dare to make a move against me."
"Li Ming, aren’t you coming?" Coyle’s gaze was chilling.
"It’s all right." Li Ming hesitated slightly, then stepped forward, "I can go with you, as long as you can ensure His Highness Isus’s release."
Luo Chuan’s expression tightened, and he hesitated to speak, while Chen Jinglong frowned but also knew he couldn’t stop him now.
There were too many Yitelan people present; if they tried to interfere, trouble would ensue.
"You’re quite calm." Coyle couldn’t resist provoking, "Look, not even a brother matches up to a stranger."
Feder shouted, "Are you done talking yet?"
"Done, let’s go." Coyle, keeping Isus hostage, began to retreat step by step, staying alert to his surroundings as everyone closely followed behind.
"Stay away from me, don’t get so close, it makes me nervous."
Around the corner, Coyle disappeared.
Morico was the first to follow, his expression tense, fearful of what might happen.
After rounding the corner, Coyle didn’t seem to have done anything tricky, only Isus’s posture had slightly changed, his arms bound behind his back,
"Relax, I’m a man of my word." Coyle sneered, while Isus in his arms seemed to want to say something.
Everyone stepped forward, their attention all on Coyle.
Li Ming’s expression was indifferent; as he passed a wall-mounted device, a cool, circular ring fell into his palm.
Three million metal energy was lost, and the ring also disappeared, his heart suddenly relaxed, forcibly restraining the smile that wanted to curl up his lips.
After leaving the main warship, Chen Jinglong and the others stopped, Coyle flew all the way to the spaceport, with Sanger, Li Ming, and Feder closely behind.
