Lord, just tell us what to do next, and our Elf Clan will fully cooperate!"
The Queen looked at her future successor and sighed helplessly.
This child is done for.
But on second thought, the feeling of success without thinking, worrying, or using one’s brain can indeed be addictive.
Not having to do anything, just being obedient!
There’s nothing bad about that!
"Yes, Lord Wright, please give the order."
Lilith looked at the mother and daughter elves and shook her head helplessly: "Two more are spoiled."
Lette cleared his throat: "I remember, besides Unicorns, your Elf Clan also has a Tree man Clan, right?"
"The Tree man Clan, yes. Like the Unicorns, the Tree man Clan has been long-time allies of our Elf Clan.
However, due to the Goddess’s departure and the damage to the Ancient Tree of Life, the concentration of Life Energy has drastically declined.
The entire clan has mostly fallen into slumber to preserve their own lives."
The Elf Queen pointed southeast outside the palace: "In that Imperial Secret Forest, most of the trees are slumbering members of the Tree man Clan."
Lette looked toward the window: "I’ve heard the Tree man Clan has a fiercer reputation, called the Ancient War Tree?"
The Elf Princess quickly explained: "Well... not really.
Tree men over ten years old are called Tree Spirits, and those over a hundred years old advance to Tree Elf Guards.
Those over a thousand years become Ancient War Trees.
If they live over ten thousand years, they advance again to the legendary Ancient Tree God.
Yet that’s merely a legend; it’s never appeared before.
Lord, we have fifteen Ancient War Trees here, along with hundreds of Tree Elf Guards, and several hundred Tree Spirits.
They do possess significant war capabilities.
But activity consumes a large amount of Life Element, otherwise, they would quickly wither.
This concerns their ability to advance to the next stage, so they are unwilling to participate in wars.
Of course, if the Elf Clan faces extinction, they will fight alongside us.
But they’ve never participated in proactive invasions like those against other nations.
Even during the Elf Empire’s peak, there’s no record of this."
After hearing this, Lette sneered repeatedly, and Lilith couldn’t help but tug on him.
"You’re not planning to smack these wooden heads, are you? If so, I suggest wearing gloves."
"Lilith, don’t you find that these Tree men and the Magic Plants in the Fairy Tale Subspace have a certain similarity?"
Lilith thought hard for a moment: "It seems... wait, you mean..."
Lette snapped his fingers: "Exactly, I want to give them a new path!"
The Elf Queen was shocked: "A new, new path?"
"Waiting a thousand or ten thousand years to finally succeed, starting from slumber at ten years to prevent the fast loss of Life Power.
Though they are Tree men, they don’t seem much different from ordinary trees.
In such cases, if a brand-new, quick path to advancement is presented to them, I believe they’d be tempted.
If possible, I can even rapidly enhance their power, grant them longer life and stronger power, and overcome the curse of dying from too much movement!
How about it?"
The three women exchanged glances; finally, Lilith pondered for a moment.
"It’s quite attractive."
"Absolutely appealing! For those waiting in line and sitting idly for promotion, the most enticing thing would be to dive into business."
Lette waved his finger: "You all, await my good news! Lilith, will you come with me?"
Lilith waved her hands repeatedly: "No, no, last time when you subdued the Unicorn King, I almost fell asleep watching.
I’m here to sunbathe, drink fine wine, and enjoy music performances.
I’m not following you."
Lette couldn’t help but look at the Elf Queen: "The treatment you give her is overly excessive!"
The Elf Queen chuckled awkwardly: "No, no, this is... to thank Lord Wright for helping the Elf Clan.
You’re busy with myriad tasks, so it makes sense to take care of your family."
Lette glared at Lilith, irked: "Listen! These benefits came from my hard work."
Lilith blew him a kiss and batted her eyes coquettishly, speaking in a sweet voice.
"Darling~ you better keep it up, I haven’t enjoyed enough yet."
Lette shook his head and walked out of the great hall, with the Elf Princess quickly following him.
Suddenly, a black shadow passed over the sky, rushing toward them.
"Lord, beware!"
Rosadina stood beside Lette, only to have him pat her shoulder.
"No worries, it’s Emily returning."
"Lette! You bastard! I’m going to kill you!"
Emily completed her Elemental Armor mid-air, wielding a crowbar as she sliced down from the sky.
Lette summoned his Holy Sword Sin Light, forcefully withstanding the blow.
The powerful shockwave blew Rosadina back, and when she regained her footing, she saw Emily covered in sticky juice with black watermelon seeds on her face.
It looked as if she had been tossed into a fruit salad and vigorously stirred, then thrown into a bin of rotting fruit.
"Miss Emily, what... what happened to you?"
"Ask him! Ask what this man did to me!"
Lette laughed heartily: "I just gave you some enhanced training. I told you to build your endurance, remember?
Just flying around doesn’t count as endurance training, does it?"
Emily gritted her teeth in anger: "So you ordered those Magic Plants lurking in the secret forest to try everything to shoot me down!
Isn’t that right!"
"Yes, are you excited?"
Rosadina paled with fear upon hearing this.
In the forested hills, there are actually only about twenty or so hidden Magic Plants.
But each Magic Plant leads an entire squad of Magic Plants. Their combat power shouldn’t be underestimated.
Moreover, the forest is absolutely the home ground for Magic Plants.
For twenty or so to bombard a single flying unit like Emily, the density of firepower must be unimaginable.
It could level a city in a single salvo!
Yet Emily had managed to return from such an intense fire zone.
One can only say, she’s indeed someone trained by Lord Lette!
"I’ll take you down!"
"Compulsory disengage!"
With one hand holding Sin Light, Lette snapped his fingers with the other.
With a click, Emily’s belt and armored gauntlet detached and clattered to the ground.
The Elemental Armor enveloping Emily instantly vanished into thin air.
"Magic Lock."
Immediately after, Lette snapped his fingers again, and Emily felt the continuous flow of magic from the Fairy Tale Subspace cut off.
Even her Witch Power was locked away.
She became a mere mortal, crashing to the ground with a thud.
"How could this happen!"
Emily clutched her hair; this was the second time she couldn’t use her Witch Power.
The first was when Jenny took it, but this time it felt like she lost the rights to use that power.
"I got the full contents of the Witch Plan from the Wise Sage, so sealing your Witch Power is easy.
These methods hadn’t been prepared earlier because I didn’t think I’d need them.
Since the Witch Slayer incident, I’ve worked on improving the Witch Seal.
After all, I can’t suffer the same loss twice.
So now, Miss Emily, will you come with me to find Tree men?"
