This Ascent to Divinity is Lewder Than Expected -
7.64 – Second Possessed
"Do you now?" Zoey asked, relieved that Delta was herself again. Fully herself, though, frankly, the difference between Delta and Possessed Delta wasn't all that great.
"Of course." Delta stood and rolled one of her shoulders, as if testing for an ache. She seemed satisfied when she didn't find one. "I can't believe you just blasted me with lightning like that, though," she said, retrieving her daggers. "Aren't you supposed to go easy on your girlfriend?"
"Were you going easy on us?"
"It's called double standards. Everyone's allowed a couple." She pouted. "Take one for the team. I was enjoying myself."
"I'm glad you didn't find the experience upsetting, at least," Zoey said, rolling her eyes.
"I ran my mouth more than usual, but it's not that big of a deal, I guess. Should talk to blondie about that." She seemed like she might explain, but decided not to. Facing Astrid, she smirked. "I think I'm not the only one who's disappointed by how the fight ended, by the way."
Astrid's cheeks colored, and Zoey noticed that her eyes were green, not red. Her Bloodlust was a resource as much as an influence, and she'd needed to liberally expend it throughout the fight to keep up with the obscenely strong Delta. Astrid wasn't fully calmed down, but she was enough so to start blushing at Delta's innuendo rather than brashly owning her actions like before.
"It was a good fight," the Harkvalen said, clearing her throat. Her speech was less harsh and stilted—in that way Zoey actually kind of liked—now that she had control of her mind again. "Difficult to keep up with your speed. You defeated Rosalie and Madeline, yes?"
Zoey was interested in getting a direct explanation too. "We felt the labyrinth darken … twenty-five minutes ago?"
Delta pondered. "That's roughly how long it's been. And yes. Hell of a fight."
"You were weakened afterward?" She wanted to confirm that theory.
"You two were no slouches, don't get me wrong, but yeah, fighting that demon was … scary. She almost got me, even at full strength."
Zoey didn't want to imagine fighting Rosalie when she was taking the fight seriously. It seemed like it would be impossible to scrape by a victory. She felt weirdly proud of that fact. That was her 'demon' of a wayfaring prodigy.
"Does that mean the Possession passed to one of them, since it's not any of us?" Zoey asked.
"Could be," Delta said. "Could also be that—"
The floor opened beneath Zoey, and she plummeted into darkness.
It was so unexpected she didn't even grab for a ledge. Four long seconds passed as she hurtled through a dark tunnel, and then she slammed onto the ground inside a hallway that looked no different from any others throughout the Labyrinth.
In a blur of orange hair and flailing fox-tail, Delta crashed down on top of her a moment afterward. The impact barely hurt, thanks to her stats.
Because this shard was one of Zoey's, Delta had, of course, landed such that when she bolted upright, her lap was firmly planted on Zoey's crotch—her pussy kissing cock. She hastily looked over both of her shoulders, scoping out their surroundings, then, lips curling upward, she brought her gaze down to the rapidly swelling rod growing between her legs.
"Hi there, girl." Delta wiggled her hips side to side, encouraging Zoey along. "I missed you too."
Zoey cleared her throat. "As much as I would never say no," and she really didn't want to continue this sentence, but she felt obligated to, "I don't need recharging quite yet, and this shard is on a time limit."
"Sounds like you are saying no." She affected an insecure, wide-eyed expression. "Am I losing my charm already?" She laughed and stood. She held a hand out for Zoey, who took it and climbed to her feet.
"As I was saying," Delta said. "Could also be that the shard will pull some shit any second now." She waggled a finger at the ceiling and chided, "I'm catching on to how you work. That was downright predictable. Shame on you!"
"Stop taunting the shard, Delta," Zoey said dryly. Especially because she knew there were actual minds guiding them, now. Or pseudo-minds. Like Mel. "Also, does that mean Astrid is the Possessed then, since she was split from us?"
"Could be it's Rosalie, and the shard express-delivered a tank to Maddy." She shrugged. "No way of knowing, so not much point worrying about it."
She faced Zoey again and appraised her, sweeping her eyes up and down her naked body with an appreciative bite of her lip. Zoey felt her cock twitch at the attention. She indulged in a subtle admiration of Delta's body too, though kept herself from getting too excited.
"We make a shit duo," Delta announced. "At least compared to what you had before. The really awful part is that my shadow is burned up, so I can't even use her as a distraction or a bodyguard. It'll be," she trailed off, her nose scrunching up as she quested out internally, trying to gauge the ability in that inscrutable way of skills. "Fifteen minutes? Before I have her back. And I'm assuming we don't wanna sit around the whole time, so we'll have to make do."
Even Delta could act like a professional when she needed to, because Zoey knew if there hadn't been a time limit, the foxgirl would already have fourteen inches inside her by now. It was probably taking a lot of willpower to not indulge.
Zoey shifted from one foot to the other, struggling to keep her eyes above Delta's neck. Would a short break really be that bad? There was no harm topping off.
She shook the thoughts away.
"We'll take it slow then. You lead?"
Delta nodded and, glancing up and down the hallway, picked a direction at random. Zoey snuck a glance at her ass while she began walking.
"It's kind of unfair I never get to look at your ass," Delta said, not even looking over her shoulder. "Back-liners have all the privilege."
Zoey paused at being caught, then laughed. "How'd you know?"
"Zoey, if you didn't look at my ass when it's right in front of you, we would have problems." She tucked her daggers into her arms, reached behind herself, and, with two fingers of each hand, bounced the lovely masses for Zoey's viewing pleasure. "But, focus up, pervert, you're gonna get us killed."
"I'm sorry, who's the one bouncing her ass for me?"
Delta snorted. She drew her daggers again and peeked around a hallway corner. Her method of advancing was much more discreet and cautious than Astrid's, who, while she did scope areas out, definitely tended to stride through with far less concern. The woman could shrug off a cannonball with that shield of hers, so Zoey guessed that was fair.
"I do wonder who's next, though," Delta murmured. "I'm torn between being terrified it's Rosalie, and accepting our doom wholeheartedly. Gods, that would be an experience."
In that, they were in complete agreement.

Returning to regular shard clearing felt more than a little ridiculous after both she and her teammate had been pinned down and their stomachs stuffed round with foxgirl cum.
Thankfully, neither of them felt inclined to talk about what had happened—beyond the silent communication of blazing-red faces and embarrassed laughter that neither could suppress. So after a quick clean-up, leaving an absolute disaster of a mess behind, she and Maddy returned to their professional duties.
"At least Zoey and Astrid should be able to deal with her?" Maddy suggested, optimistic as always.
In what might be an uncharitable—though not maliciously intended—appraisal, Rosalie wondered whether Zoey would even take the fight seriously. Would she try to lose, subconsciously or otherwise? Rosalie wondered if she herself had subconsciously done that. She could have performed better. There were a dozen mistakes she was chiding herself over, in retrospect. It had been a poor showing, that duel.
She and Maddy worked through the shard, falling into their previous rhythm. Within half an hour, they'd tracked down a Relic room and destroyed a golden scarab amulet. The shadows clutching the labyrinth seemed to grow weaker, and Rosalie's shoulders loosened, knowing she'd contributed to paying back the Curse debt she and Maddy's defeat had accumulated.
When she turned to lead them out of the chamber, Astrid was posted at the doorway, shield raised, her eyes glowing red. And not in that way that meant her Bloodlust held influence over her—but something else.
Rosalie looked at the Possessed with dismay.
