Chapter 1542: Chapter 1542 Ling Ruonan’s Attitude Changes

Luo Liansheng and Luo Ziling’s conversation was overheard by Ling Ruonan and Yang Qingyin, who were sitting nearby.

Both women were a bit surprised, especially Ling Ruonan.

Even though she didn’t want to bother Luo Liansheng with her affairs, she hoped he’d pay attention to the current issues.

Upon hearing that Luo Liansheng was finally preparing to return to Yanjing, she was naturally delighted. "Let’s go to the high-speed rail station together to pick him up tomorrow, and Yuqing should come too."

She then glanced at Yang Qingyin.

"Why don’t I go pick up Grandpa too," Yang Qingyin whispered, uncertain of Ling Ruonan’s intentions.

"Alright," Ling Ruonan didn’t object, "Let’s all have dinner together when we come back."

Ouyang Feifei came over quickly, just as Wuyue finished cooking two more dishes.

Luo Ziling had already eaten, so as Ouyang Feifei sat down, he stood up.

"I’ll leave the space for you ladies," Luo Ziling grinned, then called Wuyue," Let’s go upstairs to discuss something."

The other three women looked at Luo Ziling in confusion, not knowing what he was up to.

Wuyue didn’t say much and obediently followed Luo Ziling upstairs.

"I’ve thought it over and decided that we should resolve their issues together."

Wuyue nodded: "I understand your idea, young master; I’ve also come up with a plan."

Without hesitation, Wuyue explained her thoughts.

After listening, Luo Ziling also nodded in agreement.

"You’re really impressive; your plan is flawless. I admire you."

Wuyue smiled but didn’t say anything.

She knew her plan still had some loopholes that needed refining.

"We’re now like bugs tied to the same string," Luo Ziling chuckled jokingly, "We mustn’t betray each other in the future."

Wuyue looked at Luo Ziling in surprise but didn’t say anything.

After thinking for a while, Luo Ziling decided to share some information Xiaoman had told him with Wuyue.

Listening to this tidbit, Wuyue was quite surprised, as she hadn’t grasped this clue yet.

"If it’s really like this, things will be much easier to handle," Wuyue said, rarely showing a smile.

Luo Ziling didn’t say much, just chuckled.

He decided to find an opportunity to meet Xiaoman in the coming days, hoping she might have more news to provide.

"But this person must be dealt with appropriately."

Luo Ziling nodded, affirming Wuyue’s statement.

When they went downstairs, Ling Ruonan didn’t ask what they discussed. She thought that both Luo Ziling and Wuyue would eventually inform her, so she didn’t inquire in front of Yang Qingyin and Ouyang Feifei.

"Just now Feifei said Chen Jiahai and Chen Jiahu agreed to reconcile; they’re willing to compensate Wang Qing, and hope we don’t hold grudges about that day." Ling Ruonan relayed the information for Ouyang Feifei, who was still eating, and then asked Luo Ziling, "What do you think?"

Ouyang Feifei chimed in, "Chen Jiahu said he doesn’t mind you hitting him."

"Did I hit him? You were there; did you see me hit him?" Luo Ziling snorted, "If I did, would he still be jumping around?"

"Are you still unwilling to reconcile?" Ouyang Feifei seemed surprised.

"His people fired shots at me; shouldn’t there be some form of compensation?" Luo Ziling remained indignant.

Ouyang Feifei looked at him in surprise, unsure of how to respond.

Ling Ruonan seemed to understand Luo Ziling’s point and didn’t say anything.

"Then what do you want?" Ouyang Feifei finally couldn’t help but ask Luo Ziling.

"Make a call to Chen Jiahu, I have to at least give him a piece of my mind."

After hearing this, Ouyang Feifei quietly took out her phone and called Chen Jiahu.

The call was quickly connected; Ouyang Feifei introduced herself and said Luo Ziling had something to discuss, then handed the phone to Luo Ziling.

Once Luo Ziling had the phone, he began to fiercely reprimand Chen Jiahu, leaving the surrounding women with wide-open mouths, before finally softening his tone: "Considering Ouyang Feifei, I won’t hold it against you, but remember, if there’s a next time, I won’t be so easygoing. Please convey the same message to Chen Jiahai."

Saying this, he didn’t wait for Chen Jiahu to reply before pressing the hang-up button.

"Haha, the feeling of cursing someone is really refreshing," handing the phone back to Ouyang Feifei, Luo Ziling laughed smugly, "I’ve never cursed so much in one go, letting out all my pent-up anger. I feel great. I’m hungry again; I need to eat another bowl of rice."

He said, amidst the astonished expressions of the women, grabbing his bowl and going back to scoop a bowl of rice.

Within less than half a minute, he had devoured the rice, making Ouyang Feifei feel a chill as she continued to eat slowly.

Wuyue understood Luo Ziling’s intention, but she didn’t express anything.

Yang Qingyin didn’t fully grasp Luo Ziling’s idea because she was uninformed, but she knew there must be more to it than just venting his anger. So she softly asked, "Aren’t you afraid he’ll fall out with you?"

"Not afraid," Luo Ziling shook his head, "Anyway, he’s no match for me in a fight or in insults; if he comes to me again, he’ll just be seeking trouble for himself. Don’t worry, he’s smart. Although I scolded him fiercely, he also breathed a sigh of relief."

Yang Qingyin didn’t say anything more, just laughed.

Ouyang Feifei glared at Luo Ziling and said irritably, "I never imagined a man could curse like a shrew."

"Are you trying to say I lack manners? I may not be like you who’ve been educated, I grew up in the countryside, so there’s a generation gap between us."

"Ling’er, don’t speak nonsense," Ling Ruonan frowned, "Are you blaming your mom?"

"I’m just joking," Luo Ziling laughed, then teased Ouyang Feifei, "Is our cooking really that bad? You seem to eat with such difficulty."

"Tastes good, much better than mine," Ouyang Feifei replied seriously, ignoring Luo Ziling’s teasing, "I think your biggest merit is your cooking skills."

"Mom, she’s belittling your son; don’t you mind?" Luo Ziling complained to Ling Ruonan.

Ouyang Feifei quickly realized some words shouldn’t be spoken in front of Ling Ruonan; she said them out of anger.

She couldn’t tolerate Luo Ziling belittling her in front of Yang Qingyin, so she retaliated.

Fortunately, Ling Ruonan didn’t mind, merely smiled: "It’s just a joke; why are you complaining to an adult? Feifei, just ignore her, take your time eating; we’re all full."

"Thank you, Mrs. Ling," Ouyang Feifei thanked her, but still felt bothered inside.

She sensed that Ling Ruonan wasn’t treating her as warmly as she did Yang Qingyin.

Ling Ruonan’s attitude had slightly changed.
