Chapter 1529: Chapter 1529: Fired
"President Ouyang, I want to ask you, are you planning to back out? Do you want to terminate the cooperation between our two families?" Chen Jiahu walked up to Ouyang Feifei with a furious look and was the first to speak up and accuse, "Was it your assistant’s private action, or did you instruct it?"
"What do you mean?" Ouyang Feifei looked at Chen Jiahu coldly.
"Tonight, I warmly invited you to discuss further cooperation between us. You didn’t show up, only sending an assistant. Your assistant seems more arrogant than you. She refused to drink when asked and deliberately acted out, leaving us and hiding in the bathroom, even calling in some reinforcements. The people she called in were unreasonable and violently attacked our people," Chen Jiahu, full of anger, continued, "I didn’t expect the Ouyang Family to be so impudent as to disregard the Chen Family."
"A classic case of the perpetrator acting as the victim," Luo Ziling suddenly intervened, choking Chen Jiahu’s neck and threatening viciously, "Tell your people to back off and let Wang Qing and her friends out."
"What if I don’t?" Chen Jiahu showed no fear.
"Then you can try it!" Luo Ziling said, lifting Chen Jiahu by the neck.
The bodyguards of Chen Jiahu saw their master being subdued and all surrounded them.
Most of them pulled out guns and pointed them at Luo Ziling.
Lin and the bodyguards of Ouyang Feifei also drew their guns. The atmosphere in the hallway suddenly dropped to freezing point, filled with a murderous aura.
Ouyang Feifei’s face changed; she hadn’t expected Chen Jiahu to be so confrontational tonight.
But before she could respond, Luo Ziling threatened again, "I’ll count to three. If your people don’t back off, I will make you wish you were dead."
Luo Ziling said, ignoring the guns pointed at him, and began his countdown, "1, 2..."
With each count, the strength in Luo Ziling’s hand increased a bit, and Chen Jiahu found it hard to breathe, his previously fine-looking face turning red. The terror of death immediately filled his heart, and seeing Luo Ziling’s murderous gaze, he finally got scared.
"Wait..." He struggled to pry Luo Ziling’s hand, finally squeezing out a word with effort.
"Smart move," Luo Ziling loosened his grip slightly and commanded, "Tell your people to get out."
With his hand loosened a bit, Chen Jiahu breathed more easily, realizing that Luo Ziling wouldn’t actually crush his neck, having just been threatened. Understanding this incited his anger again, and he smirked coldly at Luo Ziling, "If you can, kill me."
"Why should I kill you when I said I would make you wish for death?" Luo Ziling said, hitting several acupoints on Chen Jiahu’s body heavily. Then he lifted him by the neck and threw Chen Jiahu directly at his bodyguards.
Chen Jiahu’s armed bodyguards didn’t expect Luo Ziling to throw the person over, and several were knocked down.
No one caught Chen Jiahu. After colliding with several bodyguards, he fell to the floor in the hallway, rolled a few times, and then painfully curled up.
Witnessing this, Chen Jiahu’s bodyguards were stunned, not knowing how to react for a moment.
During their confusion, Luo Ziling quickly moved forward, restrained the hand of one bodyguard, and pointed his gun at the others. He then released the safety and used the bodyguard’s hand to pull the trigger.
The bullet hit the ground, and the sound of gunfire echoed in the hallway, shocking everyone.
The instinctive reaction of the two bodyguards who were almost shot was to jump back a step, while the gun in the hand of the seized bodyguard was pointing at his own head.
With his hand on the trigger and the gun pointed at his head, and his acupoints being restricted, the bodyguard nearly wet himself in fear.
Chen Jiahu writhed on the ground, his cries of agony truly wretched, as if wishing for death.
At that moment, Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun emerged from a room, carrying the unconscious Wang Qing.
Yang Xiaodong cradled Wang Qing as Wang Zhenjun protected them from behind.
If it weren’t for Wang Qing weighing them down, no amount of external guards in black would have mattered. They only refrained from direct confrontation to prevent harm to Wang Qing and avoid escalating the situation. Of course, they were also wary of things getting out of control.
After all, it was a tense period, with Ling Ruonan recently injured, and plans for further action were underway.
During such a time, they couldn’t risk letting the situation spin out of control.
What they didn’t foresee was Luo Ziling arriving and escalating the situation to an unmanageable degree.
Not only had he knocked Chen Jiahu to the ground to writhe in pain, but he had also fired a shot.
However, now they no longer needed to bear primary responsibility, with Luo Ziling and Ouyang Feifei there; they just needed to cooperate.
They wouldn’t miss this chance to escape, so they quickly left the hiding room with Wang Qing.
"Take Wang Qing away first, watch out for the police," Ouyang Feifei directed Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun before ordering, "Put away the guns."
The bodyguards around her immediately put their guns away.
Yang Xiaodong then darted with Wang Qing into an empty nearby room.
Although the police arrived slowly, they finally did.
Several teams of fully armed police appeared simultaneously from the elevator and the stairs.
With guns drawn, they ordered everyone in the hallway to drop their weapons and raise their hands.
When the police arrived, Ouyang Feifei and Luo Ziling’s people had already put away their guns, and Luo Ziling released the person he controlled.
But the guy, either out of nervousness or for some other reason, pulled the trigger again.
The bullet discharged, hitting one of his companions.
The gunfire echoed down the hallway again, startling the police.
Ouyang Feifei and Luo Ziling tacitly moved to the doorway of a private room, while others stood against the wall, making way for the police.
Seeing a path cleared, the police rushed over and ordered those armed bodyguards from Chen Jiahu’s side to drop their guns. The bodyguards, ultimately unwilling to clash with the police, obediently placed their guns on the ground and squatted with their hands raised.
After the police took control of the hallway, Chen Jiahu’s rolling subsided. He stopped after rolling to the side of one of the police officers.
Luo Ziling stepped forward to assist him, applying pressure to an acupoint before letting go once Chen Jiahu stabilized.
The captain of the police team recognized Ouyang Feifei standing next to Luo Ziling and was utterly surprised. "Miss Ouyang?"
Then he also noticed Luo Ziling’s features and was surprised again.
"Today’s conflict is not that simple," was his inner sigh.
