As Luo Ziling prepared to leave, she quietly asked another question: "Was Yang Yunzhong’s injury orchestrated by someone from your side?"

"I don’t know about that. I didn’t ask, and even if I did, they wouldn’t tell me," Luo Ziling replied with an awkward smile. "Personally, I think it’s unlikely to be a coincidence. After all, residential heating pipe explosions are exceedingly rare."

"Exceedingly rare indeed," Lin Lan nodded thoughtfully. "For it to strike Yang Yunzhong so precisely, leaving no traces and no anomalies in the investigation results—that’s quite an impressive method."

"You’ve changed!"

"What?" Lin Lan was caught off guard by Luo Ziling’s abrupt comment, momentarily unable to react.

"You’ve become prettier, and more feminine," Luo Ziling teased as he looked at Lin Lan. "Back when you were injured the first time, you probably said less over six or seven days than you’ve said today in a single day!"

Lin Lan stared at Luo Ziling curiously. "You don’t want me to change like this?"

"This is great! At least now you look like a woman. Just don’t end up like Phoenix, that tomboy—one might as well ignore her gender altogether."

"Careful, she might overhear you."

"I’d say it to her face!"

"..." Lin Lan shot Luo Ziling a glance but didn’t say much else.

As Luo Ziling left the Dragon Rise sanatorium, he received a message from Ouyang Feifei.

"Yang Qingyin is coming back today. Are you going to pick her up?"

"What does that have to do with you?"

Ouyang Feifei didn’t reply, and Luo Ziling didn’t dwell on it.

He didn’t inform Yang Xiaodong about going to pick up Yang Qingyin, only mentioned he’d be meeting someone at the airport. Yang Xiaodong didn’t pry further.

When the car arrived at the airport, Yang Xiaodong casually remarked, "I won’t interrupt your date then. I’ll wait in the car."

Luo Ziling ignored Yang Xiaodong’s odd expression and headed straight into the airport terminal.
