After chatting for a while, Luo Yuqing got ready to leave.

"Mrs. Ling, I should head back now. It’s almost time for school to start, and as the student council president, I have a lot to do," Luo Yuqing said, looking a bit embarrassed. "This student council presidency was still secured for me by my mom, using the Li Family’s influence."

After catching up with Luo Yuqing, Wuyue pulled her into a car parked nearby.

The car immediately started and drove out of the neighborhood.

The car stopped at a supermarket nearby, where Luo Yuqing got out and entered the supermarket.

The car that dropped her off then left.

About ten minutes later, Luo Yuqing, holding a bag of newly purchased items, came out of the supermarket.

The supermarket was about two kilometers away from the school, and she didn’t plan to take a car but was ready to walk back.

After coming out of the supermarket, she still wore her hat and had a scarf wrapped around her neck.

Actually, when she entered the supermarket, she was dressed the same way, and didn’t take off her scarf and hat.

After leaving the supermarket, she looked left and right before striding towards the school.

The snow had temporarily stopped, but the snow on the ground was quite thick and had already frozen over. When people stepped on it, it made a crunching sound. The weather reduced the number of pedestrians and cars on the road significantly, and both moved much slower than usual.

On the way from the supermarket to the school, there is a park in the middle of the street.

In spring, summer, and autumn, the park is bustling with old men and women dancing in the square. But after the heavy snow, the bustling scene was completely gone, leaving it desolate. As she reached this location, Luo Yuqing noticeably quickened her pace, and the sound of her boots on the snow grew louder.

Just as Luo Yuqing neared the dimly lit area by the central park, several dark shadows suddenly emerged from within and slowly approached her.

Luo Yuqing also immediately realized that something was wrong and hastened her steps.

The dark shadows also picked up their pace, closing in on Luo Yuqing from several directions.

Luo Yuqing threw away the things she had just bought, ready to run, but those shadows didn’t give her the chance to escape, surrounding her and closing in further.

But just when the dark figures were about to lay hands on Luo Yuqing, one of them suddenly collapsed without any warning, emitting a scream as he went down.

Soon after, another figure dropped to the ground without warning, also with a scream.

"There’s a sniper," muttered one of the shadows, calling to the others: "Quickly retreat, it’s a trap."

As soon as the voice fell, another shadow uttered a scream and fell to the ground as well.

The remaining shadows immediately scattered and took cover behind the roadside trees to avoid being hit by the sniper.

At this moment, two vehicles sped towards the location, and the leader of the shadows shouted, "Get in the car quickly, take the person away."

He had realized that those hit by the sniper were not in mortal danger, as they were still struggling on the ground.

The parts of their bodies that had been hit were all in the legs.

That meant the sniper intentionally avoided hitting vital areas; they wanted to capture the wounded alive.

However, what surprised the shadows was that Luo Yuqing, who had just seemed panicked, suddenly became incredibly brave, launching an attack just as they were dragging away their injured companions.

With a "bang", an uninjured shadow got kicked by her, tumbling hard towards a roadside tree.

The heavy impact caused the snow accumulated on the tree to cascade down, almost burying the man who had been kicked away.

And Luo Yuqing, without any hesitation, attacked another black-clad figure.

This time, she targeted the leader of the men in black. The leader was quick, but Luo Yuqing was quicker. After a few moves, she still managed to kick him flying. When the man tried to struggle, a gun was suddenly pressed against his head.

"Don’t move, or I’ll blow your head off," the cold voice and the dark muzzle made the black-clad figure give up resisting immediately.

At that moment, a few more figures dressed in black came from different directions, all of them armed with weapons, but they were not in league with the previous black-clad figures.

These people all carried weapons as well.

The first group of black-clad figures totaled six; three had been hit by the sniper rifle, losing their mobility, two were knocked down by "Luo Yuqing", and the remaining one was captured by the black-clad group that arrived later.

The vehicles waiting to provide backup fled, and the newly arrived black-clad figures did not try to stop them.
