Chapter 1353: Chapter 1353: Striving to Settle Your Affairs

The next day, when Luo Ziling woke up, he was surprised to find the world outside was once again a vast expanse of whiteness.

Feeling extremely excited, he didn’t bother to change clothes, and went straight in his pajamas to knock on the door of Luo Yuqing, who was next door.

When he had come upstairs after chatting with Wuyue last night, Luo Yuqing had been taking a bath.

Luo Ziling knocked a few times but didn’t hear any movement, assuming Luo Yuqing was asleep, and so he returned to his own room to take a bath and sleep.

After returning to his room, he sent a few messages to Yang Qingyin and Ouyang Feifei, teasing them for a bit, before he went to take a bath himself.

While he was bathing, Luo Yuqing, who had finished her bath, came over to knock on his door.

Not hearing a response and thinking Luo Ziling had gone to sleep, Luo Yuqing also went back to her room to rest.

In the evening, after having some yellow wine and a hot bath, drowsiness crept up unconsciously, and she fell asleep quickly.

She slept soundly until she was woken by Luo Ziling knocking at the door.

Groggily getting out of bed and opening the door, she saw Luo Ziling in his pajamas standing at the doorway, still looking completely baffled.

"What’s up?" She rubbed her eyes a few times and looked at Luo Ziling with confusion.

"Senior, you’ve had a wardrobe malfunction," Luo Ziling pointed at Luo Yuqing’s chest with surprise.

Turning her head to look down, she did indeed find that two buttons of her pajamas had come undone, revealing places that shouldn’t have been exposed; she let out a shriek and hastily retreated back into her room.

After putting on her undergarments and fastening the buttons of her pajamas, Luo Yuqing then reopened the door.

However, by this time Luo Ziling had already gone back to his room to freshen up.

Feeling a little resentful about Luo Ziling’s earlier outburst, which had embarrassed her, Luo Yuqing kicked the door open and stormed into Luo Ziling’s room.

Luo Ziling, who was freshening up in the bathroom, heard the commotion and poked his head out. Upon seeing Luo Yuqing walk in angrily, he chuckled and said, "Senior, it’s snowing heavily outside, let’s go enjoy the snow later."

"Annoying junior, peeping shamelessly," Luo Yuqing approached Luo Ziling and said unhappily, "You’ve gone too far, even taking advantage of your sister."

"It’s not like I did it on purpose," Luo Ziling eyed Luo Yuqing and laughed, "Who told you not to check your attire properly. Alright, alright, it was an innocent mistake, and I’m a doctor, what haven’t I seen?"

"Absolutely detestable," Luo Yuqing’s face turned red with annoyance, and she huffed, "If I wasn’t your sister, I would... ..."

"What, thinking of overpowering me?"

"Humph, just hateful," Luo Yuqing gave Luo Ziling a kick and then huffily ran out.

Watching Luo Yuqing flee, Luo Ziling couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear.

However, thinking that Luo Yuqing might be his sister made him feel a bit awkward.

It’s really not too good for such ambiguous things to happen between siblings.

Today, even Ling Ruonan didn’t have anything to do, so after getting up, she was very keen to have Luo Ziling take them out for some fun.

Naturally, Luo Ziling did not refuse, and so, he took a few women, who were unbelievably beautiful, to several scenic spots he had already visited, such as Orchid Pavilion, Shen Garden, and Hundred Grass Garden.

During the trip, Luo Ziling naturally assumed the role of both tour guide and photographer.

And really, the snowy scenes in the south are prettier and more romantic than those in the north.

At least, while accompnying several beautiful women on a trip, Luo Ziling felt a different kind of mood.

In the afternoon, Luo Xusheng also came over, but he went straight to the old house to see Luo Liansheng.

Early this morning, Luo Liansheng had gone to the old house to check on the latest renovation progress and whether they could have a nice dinner for New Year’s Eve.

Additionally, with the whole Luo Family returning to the old house for the New Year, neighbors were sure to drop by for a visit, so he needed to go early to prepare.

Luckily, some of the people around Ling Ruonan could help him; Luo Liansheng only needed to give orders.

Upon hearing that Luo Xusheng had already gone to the old house, Ling Ruonan decisively cut her outing short and led the others back to the old house.

Ling Ruonan didn’t tell Luo Xusheng about the whereabouts of Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun, and Luo Xusheng didn’t ask.

Luo Xusheng had a stern face, looking like someone owed him millions, which even made Luo Ziling uninterested in approaching him.

He merely greeted Luo Xusheng politely without further ado.

Upon seeing Luo Xusheng, Luo Yuqing was actually quite happy.

However, she was embarrassed to call Luo Xusheng "dad" and couldn’t address him otherwise, so she could only call him Mr. Luo.

Nevertheless, Luo Xusheng was quite warm to her and even rarely showed a smile, having a chat with her.

This left Ling Ruonan feeling somewhat aggrieved, but she ultimately didn’t show it.

The group once again toured the old house to see the work that had been done and looked at where they would be staying that evening.

In the backyard, several rooms had been renovated, and the accompanying bathrooms and showers had also been completed.

The guest rooms and the bathrooms were well made and ready for use.

The furniture and other furnishings inside were also all in place.

The furniture was chosen to match the style of the house; the beds were of the antique canopy style, sourced by Ouyang Feifei using her connections, each costing at least fifty thousand yuan. The other pieces of furniture were also quite pricey.

Even though these were not new, they were antiques that were hundreds of years old and very sturdy; more importantly, they were free of the smell of paint.

Luo Liansheng had been quite thoughtful; he had prepared a room for Luo Xusheng and Ling Ruonan, naturally Luo Ziling had one as well, and his own room was done up the best. There were also two guest rooms. In any case, there were quite a number of rooms in the backyard, with over a dozen rooms across both floors.

The biggest project in the backyard, apart from tidying up the garden, was replacing all the staircases.

The original staircases were quite narrow and steep, inconvenient for going up and down. It was Ouyang Feifei’s idea to tear down the old staircases and replace them with equally old, all-wood, and more user-friendly ones.

They also enlarged the room windows a bit to facilitate better lighting.

The rooms were equipped with air conditioning, and the lighting fixtures were brand new.

Originally, Luo Ziling didn’t believe the house would be livable before the New Year, but these people actually made several rooms habitable by New Year’s Eve, which impressed him.

After revisiting all the habitable rooms, he called Ouyang Feifei and sent her photos and videos to show her.

Seeing her efforts earn Luo Ziling’s praise made Ouyang Feifei quite proud.

She told Luo Ziling over the phone that tomorrow afternoon, on the evening of the first day of the new year, she would accompany her grandfather, Ouyang Lingyun, to visit Yuezhou and see the Luo Family’s old house.

Ouyang Feifei was discussing matters with Ouyang Lingyun when she made the call.

As a result, Luo Ziling overheard Ouyang Lingyun say, "This time we’ll aim to finalize your matters."

Hearing this statement clearly reach his ears, Luo Ziling’s heart couldn’t help but skip a beat.
