Grandpa Tai put down his chop sticks, he looked at Alix, joy in his eyes and on his lips which had formed a smile.

She had just delivered the best news to him this month and gone back to eating so easily as if it was not a big deal.

Did she not understand the gravity of her words?

He had been waiting for a long time for her to make this decision, to be a Tai not just in heart but name too.

It was too bad that he couldn’t filter her blood and change her DNA as well.

Grandpa Tai took a deep shaky breath and a lone grateful tear slipped out of his right eye.

The happiness he was experiencing was not something he could express with mere lip service.

He lowered his head and the tear drop fell into his breakfast box, landing on a mini sized pineapple bun.

Tai Jiaan handed him a white napkin and just like Alix, went back to eating his food, unbothered.

Grandpa Tai picked up a sliced rolled egg and put it in Wu Gang’s box.

“Right, our Gang is the older brother.” He spoke to him indulgently, as if he was talking to a young child.

“Yes, our Gang, I am waiting for you to grow up and protect me.” Alix told him.

She spoke to him in the exact manner as grandpa Tai.

Wu Gang nodded and he went back to eating happily.

The blue system elf was watching this with a frown on it’s little face.

“You realize that he is normal now.

The healing crystals have cured his brain.

Why are you still talking to him as if he is not all there?”  “His personality hasn’t changed.” she answered.

“So, because he is antisocial…” “He is not antisocial..” Alix cut in quickly.

Tai Jiaan chose that moment to remind everyone loudly about something they had forgotten.

“I am older than all of you here and coach said that if i continue training hard this year, i have a chance to go for the world aquatics swimming competition next year and other competitions too and eventually, i could be among those chosen to represent the country at the Olympics in three years.

Sister, this is what i wanted to tell you, isn’t it good news?” “Ho!, congratulations.” Alix clapped softly and smiled broadly.

“He hasn’t qualified yet.” Grandpa Tai muttered.

“Grandpa, you are a hater.” Tai Jiaan shrugged and continued on with his daily antics of antagonizing his grandfather.

Once again, they started bickering and again, Yuewei the turnip cake shoving maniac struck again.

While they were at that, Alix sent Caishen a text.

He needed to know about the Red eagles gang and Lai Yanfang.

If anybody could deal with it, it was the power of the Zhang family.
