Chapter 923: Chapter 923: It Turns Out... You Didn’t Lie to Me

"Your fortune, well, seems like there may not be much wealth in your future... Huh?"

Ning Fan was reading the palms of the mountaineering team members when he suddenly sensed something and abruptly looked up towards the direction of Mount Everest.

"What’s up? Keep going, man. If I don’t have wealth fortune, could I at least have some luck in love?"

The mountaineer urged him when he stopped speaking.

Without a word, Ning Fan left the team behind, pushed off with his legs, and instantly turned into a shadowy figure darting out.

In just an instant, he disappeared from the mountaineers’ sight.

"Holy crap!"

"What just happened?"

"Are my eyes deceiving me, or did he just vanish?"

"No! He was just so fast, that’s why it seemed like he disappeared!"

"That’s insane, how can a human move that fast!"

When the mountaineering team regained their senses, all they could see was Ning Fan’s figure, already hundreds of meters away.

With another glance, he had vanished from their sight.

As the howling wind rushed by his ears, Ning Fan’s expression was solemn, and a fierce light surged in his eyes.

Just now, he had felt fluctuations of his own Spiritual Power.

The Jade Pendant he had left with Xu Yourong had been crushed!

He had made it very clear before departing: if she encountered danger and crushed the pendant, he would immediately sense it.

Given Xu Yourong’s strength, there’s no way it could have been crushed by accident!

It could only mean that she was in danger!

"Damn it, that surge of power just now wasn’t her ascending, but an attack!"

Thinking of Xu Yourong in peril, Ning Fan’s mood became even more anxious, and his speed surged yet again.

Wherever he passed, the raging wind swept through, scattering leaves and debris.

A distance of dozens of miles, covered in the blink of an eye.

Ning Fan arrived at the base of Mount Everest and without any delay, he pushed off with his legs; a tremendous force exploded, propelling him skyward.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The furious speed created deep booming sounds in the air, as Ning Fan rocketed upwards, even bursting through the air with roaring shockwaves.

Thinking of Xu Yourong in danger, Ning Fan didn’t care about concealing himself and released his full power without reservation.

Soon, he reached the summit of Mount Everest.

The scene before his eyes made Ning Fan’s eyes well up with fury!

Xu Yourong’s shoulders were pierced by weapons, Divine Power-infused blood dripping down her arms onto the ground.

A hallucinatory glow enveloped her, and her life force visibly diminished, like a flickering candle in the wind, seemingly about to extinguish at any moment.

The white-haired man frowned, sizing up Ning Fan: "Who is this?"

The red-haired woman’s eyes brightened, and a flirtatious smile spread across her face: "Wow, didn’t expect a handsome guy to show up, handsome, come play with us."

"Are you an idiot?" The black-haired woman’s eyes showed vigilance, sensing Ning Fan’s strong aura, "This guy is obviously here to rescue the Ice and Snow Goddess."

"Is he a Deity too?" The chubby man scratched his head, "Doesn’t seem like it, he doesn’t exude Divine Power."

The bespectacled man spoke calmly: "Just a normal Martial Artist, strong, yes, but not a threat to us."

Hearing this, the white-haired man sneered and waved dismissively at Ning Fan: "I don’t know why you bothered showing up, but you’d better leave now. We’re in the middle of something and don’t have time to deal with you."

His tone was full of disdain, not taking Ning Fan seriously at all.

They were the Godhunter Association’s God Hunter Squad, targeting Deities.

To them, a regular Martial Artist was just like a weed on the roadside, easily crushed underfoot.

Ning Fan’s gaze darkened. Without saying a word, he set foot on the top of Mount Everest and strode toward the group.

"You’re courting death!"

The black-haired woman’s eyes shone coldly, signaling the bespectacled man to take over her position as she moved towards Ning Fan.

"Boy, since you insist on courting death, go ahead and meet the King of Hell!"

With murderous intent emanating from her body, the black-haired woman lunged at Ning Fan with considerable force.

As she charged, a hallucinatory glow emanated from her, and her strength surged forth.

She threw a punch, generating a ferocious wind, like a tidal wave, charging straight at Ning Fan.

"Get lost!"

Without even glancing at her, Ning Fan threw a punch back.

His formidable Spiritual Power rushed out, effortlessly tearing through the black-haired woman’s fierce attack and landing directly on her.

"Bang!"

With no chance to resist, the black-haired woman’s body was flung back like a kite with its string cut, sent flying far away.

In mid-air, she spit out mouthfuls of blood before crashing to the ground with a heavy thud.

"You... blargh!"

Struggling to sit up, she tried to speak but instead spat out more blood, slumping to the ground limply.

Even with the protective force of the Godhunter Association, she stood no chance against Ning Fan’s furious punch.

Seeing this, the expressions of the others immediately turned grave.

The black-haired woman was one of the strongest among them, ranking in the top three, and yet she was defeated by this mysterious person with a single punch?

Xu Yourong, barely holding on to consciousness with the Divine Power Origin, weakly raised her head.

Through her hazy vision, the light of the sky surrounded Ning Fan, casting a faint golden halo, as if a true Deity had descended.

"So it turns... you didn’t lie to me."

Xu Yourong’s lips curved into a faint smile, and even she didn’t realize that upon seeing Ning Fan, a sense of relief washed over her.
