Chapter 916: Chapter 916: A Single Thought Can Change the Color of the Skies
"As for our names, there’s no need for the Ice and Snow Goddess to concern herself with them, for a deity that’s about to die has no need to remember our names."
Upon hearing this, Xu Yourong’s face flushed with anger, and she coldly retorted, "You think to hunt and kill this god? How laughable, you ants dare to entertain such bold thoughts!"
Suddenly, a fierce snowstorm descended upon the land!
Xu Yourong sat amidst the blizzard, her divine majesty spreading in all directions.
The group felt a sudden heaviness, as if a great mountain had abruptly pressed down upon their shoulders, causing their bones to crackle and pop!
Deities are considered divine precisely because they possess strength far beyond that of humans.
Merely the overflow of their aura is enough to be unbearable for mortals.
Though they were from the Godhunter Association, they only mastered the methods to combat deities.
In terms of physical body, they may not even compare to most Martial Artists.
Nonetheless, they remained utterly unfazed.
"Skinny," the white-haired man said in a deep voice.
Skinny stepped forward on cue and pulled a stone from his embrace and tossed it onto the ground.
The moment the stone appeared, it emitted a mesmerizing halo that seemed to contain all the colors in the world.
One look was enough to make one’s head spin and eyes dazzle.
Then, the Divine Power emanating from Xu Yourong, upon contact with the halo, quietly dissipated.
The oppressive weight felt before vanished in an instant.
The group straightened their bodies, rotating their arms.
"That’s terrifying," cooed the red-haired woman with a laugh, "to think you’ve only just ascended and nearly suffocated us with your majesty."
"The Ice and Snow Goddess is famously powerful. While we don’t know how the last Ice and Snow Goddess died, since she inherited the Ice and Snow Goddess’s Divine Power, her strength surely isn’t much weaker," the bespectacled man said solemnly.
The chubby man wiped his sweat, "Indeed, I only feel a bit cooler standing here; I wish I could become the Ice and Snow Goddess myself."
"Then go change your gender," the black-haired woman retorted coldly, "then you can be a goddess."
The group chatted among themselves as if Xu Yourong didn’t even exist.
As members of the Godhunter Association, they, of course, had their own reliance to hunt and kill deities.
Xu Yourong sat on her throne, looking down at them, a flash of sharpness in her eyes, "Interesting, to think you can neutralize the divine pressure of my Divine Power."
The white-haired man looked up at Xu Yourong and said in a grave tone, "Ice and Snow Goddess, if you don’t want to suffer too much, just surrender gently, and I promise to be a bit more tender."
"You might not have heard of the Godhunter Association, but the deities that have died at our injured hands are already in the double digits. Even if you’re one of the stronger deities, you can’t possibly be our match."
The Godhunter Association, as the name implies, is founded on the purpose of hunting deities.
No one knows when this association was established or by whom.
It is only known that whenever their members appear, it means a deity is about to fall.
Xu Yourong’s eyes conveyed scorn as she coldly declared, "The mere Godhunter Association is not worthy of my attention. Since you desire to hunt this god, then show me what you’re capable of!"
"Otherwise, the summit of Mount Everest will soon become your burial ground!"
At the same time as her words fell, the coldness at the summit of Mount Everest spread, stirring up ferocious blizzards.
The surrounding peaks were also affected, causing climbers to retreat one after another, not daring to take any further risks.
This is the power of a deity.
With a single thought, they can change the sky.
"It seems the Ice and Snow Goddess has underestimated us,"
The red-haired woman swayed her hips as she gracefully stepped forward, the smile on her face laced with intense killing intent.
"Since that’s the case, let the noble Ice and Snow Goddess witness our methods!"
With that, she suddenly drew a short dagger from her waist and threw it towards Xu Yourong.
The dagger wasn’t long, roughly the size of a palm.
At the end of the dagger, a stone of unidentifiable material was embedded.
Whoosh!
The dagger cut through the air, emitting a sharp whistling sound.
"Child’s play!"
Xu Yourong showed no expression, casually releasing a blast of cold air that deflected the dagger.
"Is this your method? To think you could hunt a deity with this is utterly laughable!"
Xu Yourong thought these humans were insane, to believe they could hunt her with such trifles?
They would at least need to possess the strength of that man to speak such words!
Seeing her attack blocked, the red-haired woman did not seem disappointed but laughed coquettishly, "The noble Ice and Snow Goddess, you are far too confident, which is why you’ve completely overlooked one thing."
"What?"
"You forgot to see where the dagger landed after you flicked it away."
Xu Yourong’s heart skipped a beat, and before she could react, a sharp pain shot through her back.
"What’s going on?"
Xu Yourong was immediately alarmed.
As a deity, she was injured!
She reached behind her reflexively to grab the dagger but felt a force violently pull it away from her hand.
