Chapter 803: Chapter 803: Rescue on Mount Everest

The long climbing belt, having rubbed against the rocks for too long, already showed obvious signs of wear.

Seeing this, the group exchanged glances and stepped aside.

Ning Fan approached the edge of the cliff, looked down at the person below, and suddenly jumped down.

"Has he gone mad?"

"What is this guy trying to do?"

"Damn it! Does he no longer care about his life?"

The group was shocked and frantically tried to reach out to grab Ning Fan.

But they saw Ning Fan fiercely grab onto the cliff wall, then he hoisted the person up with his right hand and powerfully kicked against the cliff wall twice with his legs.

Whoosh!

With a fluid set of movements, he pulled the person hanging from the cliff up to safety.

Seeing this, everyone was stunned.

"What... What kind of technique is that?"

"Incredible! Is he really that skilled?"

"Could he be a martial arts actor?"

After putting the person down on the ground, Ning Fan nodded slightly, "Okay, the person has been rescued."

The people around him stared blankly at him, hardly believing their eyes.

It was just like something out of a movie!

Incredible!

Just as Ning Fan and Su Qingcheng were about to leave, someone suddenly blocked their way.

"Both of you, the weather is about to change. How about we go together?"

The person removed their hood, revealing a kind face.

"The weather is going to change?" Ning Fan looked up.

The sky was clear and distant, showing no signs of impending weather changes.

The person hastily explained, "You can’t just judge by appearances. Although it’s a window of good weather now, Mount Everest’s weather is unpredictable. From my experience, it could change very soon."

Su Qingcheng looked at Ning Fan, and seeing him nod, she understood it meant he believed the person wasn’t lying.

"Well then, we’ll be in your care," Ning Fan said, nodding.

Ning Fan had heard about the harsh weather on Mount Everest, how a slight lack of vigilance could trap one in the snowstorms there.

An ordinary person trapped there might not survive the storm without enough resources or if they didn’t descend in time – many often perished on Mount Everest due to these conditions.

Nevertheless, many adventure seekers still tirelessly sought to climb Mount Everest, hoping to complete this challenge.

The group continued along the mountain path and eventually stopped at a platform by evening.

This platform had been chosen by previous Mount Everest climbers as a safe point, providing a resting spot for those who came after.

"Phew, finally time to rest."

The person leading them removed their face mask, looking eagerly at Ning Fan, "Tell me, young man, how did you train to become so proficient?"

"Miss Hong is joking, I just practiced casually," Ning Fan answered with a smile.

Along the way, he had already figured out everyone’s identities through their conversations.

The leader was a young lady from a wealthy family, named Hong Qingyan.

The others were friends of Hong Qingyan, some members of the Hong family, and the guides leading the way.

"No way, you didn’t get that skill just by practicing casually," the guide said excitedly, "I’ve been guiding on Mount Everest for nearly ten years, and I’ve never seen anyone as skilled as you!"

A man beside them suddenly snorted disdainfully, "It’s just rescuing someone, what’s so great about that?"

This guy, named Liu He, was one of Hong Qingyan’s suitors.

All along the way, because Hong Qingyan showed particular interest in Ning Fan, constantly engaging in conversation with him, Liu He grew increasingly displeased with Ning Fan.

Especially when he learned that Ning Fan was not from a prestigious family, simply an unknown commoner, his displeasure intensified.

"You know nothing!" Hong Qingyan glanced at him dismissively, "Do you realize how remarkable it is to accomplish what he just did?"

After being rebuked, Liu He looked at Ning Fan with even greater hostility.

"That guy seems to hold a grudge against you," Su Qingcheng whispered to Ning Fan.

Ning Fan shook his head, unconcerned, "It’s fine, even if he holds a grudge, it’s meaningless."

As the group packed up and the sky darkened, snow began to drift outside the tents.

With time, the roar of the wind and snow also entered the tents.

"This weather isn’t easy to handle," the guide lifted the curtain to look outside and quickly drew back.

Ning Fan and Su Qingcheng were sitting in a corner, simply resting with their eyes closed, not speaking.

Instead, Hong Qingyan kept circling around Ning Fan, always finding an opportunity to strike up a conversation.

Seeing that Ning Fan still had no reaction, Hong Qingyan finally left, feeling dejected.

"Those guys are hostile towards me," Ning Fan looked aside and suddenly whispered.

Su Qingcheng followed his gaze and frowned, "It seems we haven’t had much contact with them."

Those people were young descendants of the Hong family, among them a woman who had just been rescued by Ning Fan.

As Su Qingcheng looked, she noticed they were eyeing Ning Fan with sinister glances, whispering something to each other.

Realizing they were being watched, the group quickly withdrew their gaze, pretending as if nothing was amiss.
