Chapter 694: Chapter 694 Strictly Speaking, I Am a Traitor_1

The Mercenary Corps’ leader, Jie Lisi, looked over his shoulder at a crowd of reporters and couldn’t help but frown.

"Call the Prime Minister," he ordered his subordinate.

His subordinate dialed the Prime Minister’s number, and Jie Lisi took the phone, saying gravely, "Prime Minister, many members of the press have followed us, shall we disperse them?"

The Prime Minister pondered for a moment, "No need, this is actually a good opportunity to display Australia’s mighty strength!"

"Let our people know that Australia is very strong now, and no one can cause trouble on our land!"

"At the appropriate time, you can show those media members your great power, to give the public full confidence!"

Upon hearing this, Jie Lisi immediately understood the Prime Minister’s thoughts and replied seriously, "Understood, Prime Minister, I will handle this matter well!"

Soon, the Mercenary Corps arrived near the laboratory.

However, Jie Lisi did not rush to the scene of the laboratory immediately but commanded his team to halt and turned to face the media behind him.

"Media representatives, I am Jie Lisi, the leader of the Dinosaur Mercenary Corps. Since you have followed us here, I presume you understand our mission. Therefore, I’ll keep this brief."

"As the leader of the Dinosaur Mercenary Corps, my duty has always been to maintain peace in Australia; no one can cause trouble on our soil!"

"The Gliman Group, as a well-known enterprise in Australia, has now been targeted by malicious attackers, and this, the Dinosaur Mercenary Corps will not tolerate!"

"Today, we will personally eliminate that damned criminal gang! Protect Australia’s corporate assets! Protect Australian citizens!"

His speech, full of passion and intensity, roused the media members to resonate deeply, raising their arms and shouting.

"Australia’s territory shall not be violated!"

"That’s right! This is our turf!"

"Those darned people, we will not allow them to cause trouble on our soil!"

Many media had already turned on their cameras, broadcasting the commanding speech of the Dinosaur Mercenary Corps’ leader live, which also struck a chord with many Australians on the internet.

Bearing the responsibility of safeguarding national security, Jie Lisi led his Mercenary Corps members to the exterior of the laboratory.

"Looking at the terrain here, it seems that a tough battle was fought."

Jie Lisi surveyed the nearby terrain, his eyebrows tightly knitted.

"It appears the invaders are no simple matter; it must be a planned, premeditated invasion!"

A team member laughed proudly, "Don’t worry, Commander. Our corps includes Australia’s number one warrior. What kind of invaders can’t we handle?"

A tall man stepped forward, clenching his fists forcefully and sneered, "Rest assured, Commander. As Australia’s number one warrior, I, Cabano, will personally kill all the invaders!"

Soon, they arrived at the entrance to the laboratory in the cave.

The first thing that caught their attention was a massive pit that had been dug out of the cave’s ground.

It seemed as though the entire piece of land had been excavated, leaving a vast empty hole where only the remnants of some structures could be faintly seen.

"What, what happened here?" Jie Lisi’s frown tightened, "Could it have been created by the strike of some powerful weapon?"

"Doesn’t look much like it," someone analyzed, "If it was a weapon’s strike, there should be remnants of the weapon here."

It was then that Ka Mier walked out slowly and stood still in front of them, "No need to look anymore, I’m the one who did all this."

Upon hearing this, everyone’s gaze turned toward her in unison.

Jie Lisi sized up Ka Mier and said coldly, "Are you Australian? Are you also one of the invaders?"

Ka Mier laughed, "Hehe, I am not an invader, strictly speaking, I am a traitor."

The major media had already set up their heavy and light cameras, aiming towards the direction of the laboratory, ready to record the moment the Dinosaur Mercenary Corps displayed their valor.

"A traitor?" Jie Lisi scrutinized Ka Mier, his mind racing with recollections, "Are you the Gliman Group’s strongest, Ka Mier?"

Prior to arriving, he had received intelligence from the Prime Minister’s office, which included information about Ka Mier.

"Oh, looks like the Prime Minister has my information too," Ka Mier said with a coy laugh, "I’m truly flattered that the Prime Minister remembers me."

"The others? What exactly happened here?" Jie Lisi asked warily.

According to the description in the intelligence, Ka Mier possessed telekinetic superpowers and was extremely powerful, making her a tough nut to crack even after her betrayal.

"If you want to know what happened, defeat me first," Ka Mier said slowly as she levitated, the air around her beginning to twist under the influence of her telekinesis, "Defeat me, and you will earn the right to meet that person!"

The spectacle of Ka Mier levitating caused an outcry among the news media.

"OMG, she’s flying!"

"What is this? Superpowers?"

"My god, is the Gliman Group actually researching superpowers?"

"That’s amazing! Get this on camera!"

Jie Lisi’s eyebrows furrowed. As the leader of the Mercenary Corps, his duty was to uphold the dignity of Australia.

Such a traitorous super-powered being must never be allowed to live.
