Chapter 692: Chapter 692 Subduing Ka Mier_1
"Ning Fan...you mustn’t act rashly..."
Chen Donglai watched the screen, silently praying in his heart.
If it meant Ning Fan would fall into a trap just to save him, he would rather continue to stay within the Gliman Group.
Ka Mier’s defection was beyond Ning Fan’s expectations.
"I’ve nowhere left to go now, if you don’t take me in, I really will have no place to go."
Ka Mier’s eyes were seductive, fully displaying her charm.
Ao Xi’er also began to persuade him, "Mr. Ning, since Ka Mier has said so much, she must truly wish to seek refuge with you."
Only Chen Yi remained vigilant, sizing up Ka Mier before she couldn’t help but lean in close to Ning Fan and whispered, "Ning Fan, I think this woman has ill intentions—we should probably think this over, don’t you think?"
Ka Mier cast a coquettish glance and said with a playful laugh, "Don’t worry, little girl, I have no interest in your boyfriend. I just want to follow by his side."
"Hmph, who knows what you’re really thinking." Chen Yi blushed and said no more.
Finally, Ning Fan spoke, "You may follow me, but I must take some precautions with you."
"Of course, you can do whatever you like to me as long as it makes you happy," Ka Mier said with a playful laugh.
Ning Fan nodded and stepped forward, his index finger touched her forehead and a surge of Spiritual Power flowed through his fingertip into Ka Mier’s body.
"This power will always exist within you, usually it won’t affect you, but if you have any other thoughts, you will immediately explode and die."
Instead of being offended by these words, Ka Mier laughed even more brightly and said, "No problem, I promise not to have any other thoughts."
Outside the cave, the scene was a complete mess; after Zara’s death, the ice had melted and the ground had turned into a muddy wreck.
With a casual wave of her hand, Ka Mier used her powerful telekinesis to push away the mud, revealing a dry and spacious ground.
"Your telekinesis is really impressive," Ning Fan said with sincere admiration, "aside from perhaps being not so effective in combat, it’s wonderful for everything else."
Ka Mier, having been initially pleased with Ning Fan’s praise, soured at once upon hearing the latter half of his comment.
Seeing her stride toward the entrance of the cave, Ao Xi’er kindly reminded her, "You need an ID card to open the door."
Ka Mier glanced at him and placed her hand on the heavy iron door, unleashing a burst of robust telekinetic force.
Boom!
The iron door instantly warped, as if it had been crumpled into a ball by an enormous hand and thrown far away.
"With me here, who needs an ID card?"
With that, Ka Mier led the way into the cave, followed by everyone else.
They had assumed the Core Laboratory would be filled with traps.
But, unexpectedly, their journey was smooth, and they hadn’t seen even a single person along the way.
"Because beings like us exist in this group, there are usually no other defense measures in place. Anyone who tries to invade this place will be annihilated by us, so there’s no need for any guards on normal days," Ka Mier explained, addressing Ning Fan’s surprise.
They encountered a few automatic defenses, all of which Ka Mier easily destroyed with her formidable telekinesis.
Quickly, the group reached the lowest level of the laboratory.
"This is the laboratory, inside is..." Ka Mier paused, took a deep breath and said, "my kin."
Without warning, she swung her hand back, and a powerful telekinetic force blew the heavy iron doors open.
A row upon row of cultivation pods stood in the room, stretching into the depths.
Within the pods, human bodies floated, surrounded by a green liquid.
"Are these people still alive?" Ning Fan’s expression also turned grave.
Ka Mier shook her head, "As of now, very few synthetic superhumans have survived successfully. We are among the strongest ones, while most of the rest are out on missions."
"As for these, they’re just expendables, doomed to never wake up in their lifetimes."
Hearing this, Ning Fan fell silent for a moment, then gestured dismissively, "If that’s the case, let’s give them liberation."
A flicker of light crossed Ka Mier’s eyes as she nodded, "Okay."
Boom!
In the next moment, a deafening roar erupted; Ka Mier floated in mid-air, an overwhelming telekinesis burst forth from her palms.
It was as if a gigantic hand had grabbed the laboratory out of nowhere.
In an instant, the entire laboratory was lifted from the ground, along with the chairman who was trying to escape, all under her telekinetic control.
"Yo, Chairman, long time no see," Ka Mier said, lifting her face into a seductive smile that was filled with coldness.
"Grandfather!"
Chen Yi saw the figure next to the chairman and her face lit up with joy.
"Put them down," Ning Fan said indifferently.
Without a word, Ka Mier used her telekinesis to lower the chairman and Chen Donglai to the ground, while her right hand suddenly clenched.
Crack!
The entire laboratory was instantly compressed into a block of metal, flung far away by the force of telekinesis.
