Chapter 682: Chapter 682: As Long As You Are Forever Strong_1

Chen Yi explained to Ning Fan the background of Ao Xi’er, in simpler terms, the man was a scientific madman, a pure research fanatic.

His academic and scientific zeal made him incredibly tenacious towards those subjects.

Ao Xi’er was utterly subdued by Ning Fan’s power, so much so that he didn’t hesitate to directly betray the Gliman Group to pry into the secrets of the biological science field.

"You betray the Gliman Group now, who’s to say you won’t betray me one day?" Ning Fan narrowed his eyes and said.

Ao Xi’er earnestly replied, "No, as long as you remain powerful, I will never betray you."

"He’s telling the truth," Chen Yi nodded and said, "If I am not mistaken, the Gliman Group must have also used biotechnological secrets to entice Professor Ao Xi’er when they recruited him, right?"

"Professor Chen’s granddaughter, is it? The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, it seems everyone’s thoughts converge on the same path," Ao Xi’er said with a smile, "I presume you are with Mr. Ning for the same reason, aren’t you?"

Chen Yi’s face flushed with a hint of red but didn’t deny his words.

Ning Fan thought for a moment, then raised his hand and injected a stream of Spiritual Power into Ao Xi’er’s body.

"You may follow by my side, but if you harbor any other thoughts, you will explode and die immediately."

Far from being frightened, Ao Xi’er’s face revealed an ecstatic expression instead.

"Incredible, to be able to use biological power to this extent! Simply inconceivable!"

For the first time in his life, Ning Fan felt a shiver run down his spine; the way this guy looked at him was like looking at some dream lover.

With Ao Xi’er as his informer, Ning Fan fully understood the inner workings of the Gliman Group for the first time.

"Actually, all the research we are doing now, the things presented to you, are just superficial research products."

"The real purpose of the Gliman Group’s multitude of researches is only one."

Ao Xi’er glanced at Ning Fan, his gaze becoming even more fervent.

"They want to create artificial superhumans."

Artificial superhumans?

Chen Yi’s eyebrows furrowed tightly, "Aren’t those biologically modified fighters we saw earlier superhumans?"

"Heh, at best they are just humans with physical qualities surpassing ordinary people, but real superhumans possess abilities entirely unique to humans."

Ao Xi’er opened a folder which contained various video files.

He played a video showing a scene in a laboratory.

"This is the experiment footage from the true Core Laboratory, the first time an artificial superhuman appeared."

In the footage, a young man stood in front of an experiment data collector and suddenly, without any flammable material at hand, flames burst forth from his right palm.

The video ended quickly, and Ao Xi’er opened another one.

This video showed an experimenter with the ability to control the wind.

The content of other videos was more or less the same; they differed only in the abilities of the experimenters.

Having watched all the videos, Chen Yi felt her worldview had been flipped on its head.

"There are actually superhumans in this world... No, that’s not right, can humans really grasp these extraordinary powers through scientific technology?!"

Ao Xi’er nodded, but then fervently said, "But in my view, these powers are nothing compared to the abilities you wield, Mr. Ning; their powers took a crooked path, the real strength of humans is the true power!"

"Strength, speed, there’s a saying in Xia Country, ’The greatest truths are the simplest,’ this is the most correct path!"

Ning Fan raised his right hand and sighed, "Alright, enough flattery, I just want to know where Professor Chen is right now."

Ao Xi’er’s face turned awkward, "Cough cough... Well, since I hadn’t witnessed such a formidable power as yours before, I had arranged for Professor Chen to be taken to the Core Laboratory in advance."

Seeing Ning Fan’s menacing gaze, Ao Xi’er hastened to add, "However, I can take you to the Core Laboratory; I know its location, I can definitely help you rescue Professor Chen!"

After a pause, he continued, "However, with our laboratory being attacked, the Core Laboratory will definitely be informed. Knowing what I know of the chairman, he won’t let the two of you get away after learning of my betrayal."

Ao Xi’er told Ning Fan that the chairman of the Gliman Group had significant power and influence in Australia, holding authority far beyond what a mere laboratory director could compare with.

"The laboratory has real-time video feedback; they have definitely seen the power you’ve displayed, Mr. Ning."

"Without a doubt, the chairman will mobilize all his resources against you, for uniting you and Professor Chen will be beneficial to them in developing truly powerful superhumans!"

Chen Yi suddenly fell silent, turning her helpless gaze towards Ning Fan.

"Ning Fan... our adversary might soon be an entire nation."

Ao Xi’er also turned to look at Ning Fan, eager to see what decision this man, who in his eyes stood at the pinnacle of biology, would make.

Ning Fan showed almost no hesitation, turning and walking towards the exit.

"Let’s go, let’s see just how capable this Gliman Group really is."
