The World's most Overpowered Side-Character
Chapter 445 - 445: Two Days.

"He is already gone," Jun replied, holding on to Sol's arm, her tears now flowing as she wrapped her arms with his while her feet awkwardly dangled above the ground. "Why do you hate me now, isn't it enough that I am alive again that I could be near you?"

"You're a trojan horse."

"Trojan?" She furrowed her brows and frowned. "...I am not of earth, I do not know that breed of horse, but if I could-"

"It's not a breed of horse, it means you are the enemy's martyr, made to befriend with the intent of betrayal," Dina clarified.

"I hate to agree but it just makes too much sense to think otherwise, your presence complicates the decisions Master has to make from now on." She admitted, standing at his side and resting her hand on his arm keeping the woman off the ground.

"But just because she has no place by your side doesn't mean you should freely trample her beneath you, Master."

"She is lost," Ikaris added watching Sol slowly lower Jun to the ground and then watching the woman cling to him, crying her heart out while he just stood there askance and emotionally unavailible.

"Master, we are ready to depart." Alpha appeared at his side, staring intently at Jun. "If there is anything you need from your ship, please retrieve it and return immediately."

"...okay."

"What will you do with her?" Dina asked after taking a seat next to Sol while he sat on the opposite side of the ship's lunch area watching Jun eat. "Master-"

"I honestly have no idea," He glanced at his mate. "She is Jun, but at the same time she is not, leaving her in the hands of that asshole troubles me."

"How did he do it?" Ikaris asked from his other side, all three of them had their plates before them but the food was untouched, none of the three had much of an appetite. "How did he bring her back from death? There is no way he took her from my universe, it was Isolated at the time, not even a part of the Sol Collective, let alone the Grand."

"I'd like to know that as well."

"Would you like another serving?" Alpha asked, stopping by Jun's side when she saw her about to finish her plate.

"If it's no trouble, this is the first time since I was born that I am eating this quality of food, it is beyond anything I have ever tasted!" She chirped, causing Sol's expression to sour again, even her mannerisms were unchanged.

"How long has she been alive, he's gotten my attention so why won't he speak his mind, what is Buche up to?" He wandered across his mind back and forth, asking dead-end questions that could only be answered by the one person who was staying silent. "This leads me back to what I intend to do with her." He spoke up.

"I would argue that sending her inside of my collective is the same as giving myself a virus, I don't know what kind of power Buche has but having his mana inside of me is a definitive no."

"Where else could she go?" Dina asked, both speaking loudly as though the subject of their conversation was not sitting across the room in earshot, not that she seemed to mind with the way she was scoffing down the second serving Alpha had brought her.

"Don't you know where your master is?" Sol asked loudly, causing Jun to pause.

"Can you please not refer to him as my master?" She asked.

"Isn't he the one who owns and controls you?"

"I am not owned... I am a prisoner, unable to do as I freely desire."

"That is what being owned means, love, unless it was a case like ours, Master owns Ikaris, she gave herself to him, the same as he owns me, and I have done the same, he is responsible for your life, and your death, he is your owner; your master." She slowly tapped her plate, sighing when she saw Jun's expression dip into depression again.

"That didn't answer the question." Sol interrupted Dina before she started again.

"I have never met him personally, he uses Avatars and Vassals to carry out his work, he controls billions of people, he could possess an entire galaxy full of individuals simultaneously if he wishes."

"Indeed, a Trojan horse."

"So he is strong." Ikaris looked at Sol who wore a troubled expression again. "Do you know how strong?" She turned to Jun once more.

"Why do you care how strong he is?"

"I want to make an assessment of how long I need to fuck him up so that I don't stray any further from my goals."

"Ah, the quest for the Emperor, do you honestly think you can defeat the king of the Emporium?" Jun relaxed her shoulders and took a calming breath. "Zan'el is like nothing you have ever seen before, with just the four of you-"

"We are only the face of a massive armada, we may not be as vast as the Emporium, but what we lack in quantity we have overcompensated for in quality." Ikaris stared at her, knowing well that Sol only allowed her to let this information slip as a provocation to Buche.

"An armada you say, hidden behind teleporters mayhaps?" He spoke through Jun having taken the bait.

"If Zan'el sent you to investigate me, and you found me this easily then that means he is already aware of my progress, and that of Umbra who is seeking refuge near him." Sol sat forward with a small smirk. "Prying for information by attacking my past and presumed weakness was a mistake Buche, you'll regret this with every fiber of your being."

"I haven't the foggiest-"

"Let me tell you something else, I won't even be the one who fights you, it won't be Ikaris or anyone else you know of, your opponent goes by the titleThe Mad Raven, and I will ask that he deal with you slowly, to make sure you suffer before I deal the final blow."

"I have already stated that I have no alliances-"

"And I almost believed you too, except, someone who has no alliance would have responded differently to a boast of my military might, you may think yourself smart, but to fall for the simplest trick proves that you've lived in a bubble just a little too long, or maybe you are overestimating your intelligence due to unrivalled luck and arrogance."

"He is a mere peasant employed under true power, wearing his ego afront because there lies nothing else to offer." Ikaris added and flinched when she saw Jun's nose begin bleeding. "Jun!"

"It's fine." Sol relaxed in his seat again. "Jun." He called.

"Yes, Sol."

"Are you afraid of death?"

"Only a painful one," She answered, wiping the blood from her nose with her head lowered.

"So then, if I could guarantee that I would bring you back from the brink of death every time he tried killing you, and do so painlessly-"

"I would serve you wholly." She stood eagerly, wincing again when a phantom pain began eating at her insides.

"Do you mean it?" He asked. "I'm not taking you as my woman, nor a lover of any kind, you will only be doing my bidding, blindly serving me not much differently from what he is doing, do you understand what I am saying?"

"How dare you try to acquire my property before my very eyes?!" Buche snapped through Jun, but as soon as he did he saw lights flashing gold before he was ejected from her body again.

"S-Sol Vestic-" Buche tried again and was once again repelled, left as an observer next to her while she nodded.

In his smoky ethereal form, invisible to all he reached out and began squeezing her neck, ready to kill her but no matter how hard he squeezed, her body remained untouched, the fissures that she had been marked with refused to break.

"You see," Sol stood up and walked over to Jun, gesturing that she take a seat again. "Ever since I put on that facade of indifference to provoke your first appearance, I have had Alpha analyse her repeatedly using every possible method she could calculate, to find a way to separate you from her, Isolate you, and seek you out." Sol sat and folded his arms while Dina and Ikaris started looking directly at Buche's form.

"No wonder you possess the body of others, you are a hideous sight, General Buche, fourth advisor to the Emperor."

"You already knew who I was!?" He wailed, hiding his face from them when he realised that they could see him.

"Of course I did, maybe Umbra didn't, but that is because he is not accompanied by the most intelligent being in the Grand Collective, within two days' time from now, I will be before you, general and no power in the Grand and beyond will be enough to save you, amass your army if need be, call for help, beg your allies to save you, but remember, wherever you go henceforth..."

"Your soul has been branded, your spirit marked, hiding in the fourth dimension will not save you this time, your life has already been forfeited to me."

"There are any number of ways you could have not gotten me this enraged, but you chose the most personal one you could find, and I will reward you accordingly."

[Caution, The Golden Godslayer has locked his mana to your existence, henceforth, hiding is impossible, even through resurrection, replication or reanimation, you will still be marked].
