The world has turned into Hell's Game, why should I stay human? -
Chapter 197 - 196 Liu Zheng: I want a woman, I want a woman!
Chapter 197: Chapter 196 Liu Zheng: I want a woman, I want a woman!
Cheng Xiaomei stared blankly at the sky, the dense foliage blocking out the sun.
She wanted to reach out and push aside the branches, but found herself unable to move.
It turned out her limbs and head were all fixed in place by a jelly-like secretion resembling amber.
Not to mention moving, she couldn’t even turn her head.
She could only move her eyeballs strenuously, glancing not far away.
Several impeccably dressed bugs were sitting around a table, playing mahjong.
The thinly sliced pieces of meat on the plates looked crystal clear, and even the plating was exquisitely irresistible.
Above the table hung a girl, skinned to the point that only half of her remained, her fresh blood dripping down her spine into the hot pot.
Her face bore an ultra-realistic style, her features delicate and young, seemingly not yet twenty.
But Cheng Xiaomei knew that the girl was not only under twenty but didn’t even reach eighteen.
Besides that, she knew much more.
She knew the girl’s name was Ali, who had been recruited from the Old City District, and, like herself, was a janitor.
But because she was from the Old City District, her salary was only half that of Cheng Xiaomei’s, and she was also responsible for cleaning the filthy and dangerous restrooms.
Yet, Ali was still very cheerful every day, even sharing the meals she cooked with Cheng Xiaomei.
Cheng Xiaomei would always decline, not because she was worried Ali wouldn’t have enough to eat, but because her cooking was truly indescribable, getting worse the more effort she put in.
But that didn’t stop Cheng Xiaomei from liking the young girl, even showing her photos of her three sons.
Just half a month ago, she didn’t see Ali at lunchtime.
After some inquiry, she found out that while cleaning the toilet, Ali forgot to knock and disturbed a manager using the restroom, and was transferred to the 11th floor.
The 11th floor, everyone knew, was a place where no one emerged unscathed.
Being just a janitor, Cheng Xiaomei couldn’t do anything for Ali other than mourn for her silently.
Pray? There were too many gods in the Metropolis, but most of them were Evil Gods.
Perhaps those benevolent gods had been banished by the City Hall, or maybe there were simply no benevolent gods in this world at all.
Cheng Xiaomei just didn’t expect to meet the same fate as Ali so quickly.
Why had she lost her mind at that moment, to hand over the insecticide for a cup of coffee?
She knew full well that her big boss and the owner of the Bloody Restaurant didn’t get along, right?
"Maybe there was no reason at all,"
Cheng Xiaomei thought.
She was just a woman, and as a woman, she couldn’t resist that kind of man.
Perhaps even men couldn’t resist him.
"It’s a pity, I don’t even know his name."
Cheng Xiaomei felt some regret.
"Ali."
She turned her gaze back to the young girl.
Ali’s vitality, much like that of the Old City District, was resilient; she had survived half a month on the 11th floor and could even laugh cheerfully.
But to protect Cheng Xiaomei, she had given the bugs an opportunity to catch her.
"Xiao Mei, you have three children; you must survive,"
she said to Cheng Xiaomei, before being hung up.
"I’m so useless."
Two streams of tears trickled down Cheng Xiaomei’s cheeks.
"Just die, death will bring release."
She closed her eyes, opting not to see anything anymore.
Coming to the 11th floor wasn’t completely without benefits; at least after death, her family would receive a substantial compensation, and it would be paid out in full.
The purpose was simple, to dampen the courage of the service staff who fought for their lives, to ensure the safety of the members, and to allow them to play more merrily.
With her eyes closed, her ears were still listening.
Cheng Xiaomei listened to the disgusting hissing of the bugs’ toasts and cheers.
She also heard the drip of blood falling into the soup pot.
Gradually, the bugs’ hissing grew fainter until it was silent.
All that remained was the sound of the blood dripping, still ongoing.
"What happened?"
Cheng Xiaomei opened her eyes and saw the bugs staring intently in the direction behind her.
She struggled to look back but was powerless, once again closing her eyes to listen with her ears.
Soon, she heard it.
It was the sound of a steel behemoth’s heart beating.
The sound grew closer, until it arrived next to Cheng Xiaomei.
She was finally able to see the newcomer’s appearance.
"What kind of vehicle is this?"
Cheng Xiaomei didn’t recognize the tank, nor did she know why there was a vehicle entering the 11th floor.
But with the survival skills of the lower class, she knew that her chance to live might have just arrived.
"Excuse me, how do I get to the nest?"
A voice, deliberately disguised, emerged from the tank through a loudspeaker.
Cheng Xiaomei found it somewhat familiar, but couldn’t recall where she had heard it.
"Who are you? How did you get into the 11th floor?"
The bugs glanced at each other, and one of them, dressed in a kung fu shirt adorned with several strings of bracelets of different materials on its forelimbs, stood up and asked.
"Took the elevator up,"
the voice replied.
"Didn’t you know you can’t use transportation to come here? And a tank, that’s so ostentatious. Which department are you from?"
The bracelet bug inquired.
"Oh, I’m from the delivery department of the Bloody Restaurant,"
the voice said.
Cheng Xiaomei’s eyes widened, and she bit her lip hard to stop herself from shouting out.
"Which idiot ordered delivery from the Bloody Restaurant on the 11th floor?"
The bracelet bug cursed loudly.
"Not necessarily, it could also be a forced delivery."
Another bug in a green suit shook its head.
"Isn’t this great? Another chance to swap for consumption times,"
another bug wearing a Polo shirt smiled and said.
Even for these deputy director-level executives, they could only come once a week.
But if they could kill a delivery person from the Bloody Restaurant, they could exchange for a month’s consumption times with the property management.
If they captured one alive, they could even exchange for six months of consumption times, and get a discount to boot.
Usually, they wouldn’t take such a risk, but they wouldn’t pass up an opportunity presented to them.
"Then let’s call everyone over,"
the bracelet bug suggested.
A crowd of bugs nodded and then issued high-frequency sounds inaudible to human ears.
Facing the thick barrel of the tank, they seemed so fearless.
"You’re calling people over right in front of me, are you not giving me any respect?"
Liu Zheng crawled out of the hatch, grinning.
"It really is him."
Cheng Xiaomei looked up at him, finally a sparkle in her eyes, though her tears flowed more fiercely.
The bugs stopped their summoning cries and all turned to look at Liu Zheng.
It wasn’t that they decided to show him face, but rather because of the gnawing stick in his hand.
"Young man, calm down. Letting that dog loose won’t do any of us any good," said the bracelet bug, while glancing over at the Polo shirt bug.
The latter was a small beetle, with a yellowish-brown head spotted with vertical black stripes.
The Polo shirt bug shook its head, the distance was too far, and the target only showed its head, making a sneak attack unlikely to succeed.
"I don’t want to let the dog out either, but who asked you to try and take my life for a bounty?"
Liu Zheng said with ease.
"We were impolite just now. How about this: you deliver your takeout, we eat our hotpot, and we don’t interfere with each other, how does that sound?"
The bracelet bug suggested.
A tank, after all, they could not defeat but could escape from.
But if the Tendaros Hound was summoned, it would be an endless problem.
Even if it could be dealt with in the end, half of those present would die, and no one knew whether they’d be part of that half.
"Not very good," Liu Zheng shook his head.
"Then what do you want?" the bracelet bug asked through clenched teeth.
"I’m out there working hard delivering takeout, and you’re comfortably eating hotpot? Doesn’t seem right, does it?"
"So, the young brother wants to eat hotpot? That’s easy to handle, it’s just a matter of adding a pair of chopsticks," said the bracelet bug.
"Who wants your stinking hotpot."
"Then what do you want?"
"That woman on the ground looks good, let me have some fun with her," Liu Zheng said, licking his mouthpiece.
"You can have her fun, but you can’t kill her," the bracelet bug breathed a sigh of relief.
Even they couldn’t casually kill a waitress, but could find ways to make them violate the rules.
If they let someone play the waitress to death, they would have to pay a huge sum to the property management.
"How can I play if I don’t kill her?" Liu Zheng frowned, as if the proposal of the bracelet bug was preposterous.
"Give us two million, and you can do whatever you want with her," the bracelet bug said.
"If I had two million, would I still be delivering takeout? Tell you what, give me the woman’s corpse, and I won’t kill her," he said, pointing at the corpse above the hotpot.
"You still want it when there’s nothing left below?"
"Isn’t a mouth enough?" Liu Zheng said without hesitation.
"The young brother is quite talented. When you stop being a delivery guy, you’re welcome to apply for a job at our company," the bracelet bug looked at him with newfound respect.
"Sure, sure. Please, brothers, pass me the stuff, I can finish in no more than three minutes, won’t delay your hotpot," he said with a laugh.
"Wait, how do we know you won’t mess around once you take the girl inside?" the bug in the green suit said.
"Simple, I’ll just do it outside for you all to see," Liu Zheng immediately stood up, his pants dropping to his knees.
"Hiss."
The group of bugs was utterly shocked.
Although they played more perverted games, they still had a sense of shame when clothed.
And this one, not at all ashamed even in clothes, what sort of species was he?
"Hurry up, I want a woman, I want a woman!" He rubbed against the bugs, veins bulging and coiling like an angry dragon.
"Give it to him, give it to him," the bracelet bug could no longer bear it.
Letting this kid continue was like aiming at them.
It, a dignified associate director, so close to being a director, had never been charged at this way by anyone before.
The Polo shirt bug flew over, grabbed the woman’s corpse, and threw it to Liu Zheng.
"What about this woman?" he asked.
"Young man, don’t rush, one at a time," the bracelet bug said with a smirk.
"Am I still a young man if I’m not in a hurry? I want to use both at the same time," Liu Zheng said, grabbing the woman’s head and pushing it down.
"Ah~" He shuddered with pleasure.
"Hurry up, or I’ll set the dog loose," he said, moving rhythmically while waving the gnawing stick agitatedly.
"Just give it to him, I think this kid might be on something big," the Polo shirt bug whispered to the bracelet bug.
"Mmm, looks like it. Give her to him," the bracelet bug said.
The bug in the green suit approached, its circular mouthpiece extended and plunged into the "jelly," and sucked the sticky substance back into its body.
Soon, Cheng Xiaomei was free from her restraints.
"Serve this kid well, and you can rest for today," the bug in the green suit whispered to her, then tossed her out.
But in the moment it exerted force, it caught a glimpse of uncontrollable joy on Cheng Xiaomei’s face.
"Not good, we’ve been tricked, these two are in cahoots," the bug in the green suit immediately shouted.
"Hmm?"
The Polo shirt bug immediately turned around and presented its backside.
The yellow tail with black touches explosively burst open, releasing a stream of smoky Poison Liquid like an arrow towards Cheng Xiaomei.
