Chapter 927: Chapter 479 Vermilion Bird Magic

The Demon King Pinocchio vanished beside Dragon Fire Bay Lake, and immediately the dragon fire within the lake began to boil as if on cue. Inside the core of these fires, shapes of ancient giant dragons were formed by fiery chains, the boiling dragon fire rolled out like tidal waves, destroying everything around, causing even the Flying Dragon Knights’ dragons to panic and fear.

Ivita furrowed her brows and pointed towards that direction. Her gesture contained some magical power and the Divine Power from the God of Magic Network, but this power was quickly scorched and destroyed by dragon fire.

"The nature of the dragon fire has become even more violent," Ivita analyzed. "It seems Jalen really did trade Dragon King’s Fire with his enemy, the Frankish people."

That was also normal.

The shift of allegiances among nobles was nothing unusual; even grudges as deep as stealing a spouse or the murder of a parent could be erased for the sake of benefits. Although there existed a long-standing hatred stemming from years of wars between Jalen and the Frankish people, both sides now had their reasons to collaborate.

For the Kingdom of Frank, which sought to encroach upon the empire’s territories, the Alsace Kingdom was an obstacle in front of them, naturally unwilling to have a king from their own grassroots come to the throne.

To the Frankish people, a ruler who had risen from the grassroots posed too great a threat.

Behind Ivita appeared two spirits, like day and night, like water mingling with fire, from which stemmed black night and white day, and within this day and night appeared twilight. From Dragon Fire Bay Lake a stream of dragon fire flew out, and from Ivita’s left eye flew Thousand-Year Fire. The two flames merged quietly in the deepest part of the Twilight Realm.

The Twilight Realm turned the impossible possible, the formidable magical power forcibly stopped the upheaval of the Dragon Fire Law, suppressing all violence and destruction within it.

Temporarily restoring the Law to normal.

The violence and flames shrunk into a tiny bundle deep within the core of the Dragon Fire Law, beyond Ivita’s ability to separate it from the dragon fire.

"If I were the sovereign of the Dragon Fire Law, I could delve into the core of Dragon Fire Law and cleanse the corruption it has acquired," Ivita said with a frown. "I must retrieve the Fire Dragon Ring and Dragon King’s Fire as soon as possible."

The deepest parts of the kingdom-level Law were still too dangerous for her, and she feared even the Witch Queens would not dare to delve into it.

"If the Dragon King’s Fire touches the Black Death, that would be troublesome. I must retrieve it quickly." Moved by the idea, Ivita set off for York City alone; though she might not be able to withstand the alliance of York City and Frank on her own, she could always withdraw at any moment.

Before she tested the relationship between Frank, York City, and Jalen, she did not need to employ her full forces.

Ivita looked at the Captain of the Flying Dragon Knight Group who had followed from afar, and said, "Captain, I’m about to give you my first order. I have temporarily suppressed the dragon fire, but you must enhance the defenses here and absolutely prevent anyone from approaching."

Just relying on the Dragon King’s Fire would not lead to too many problems with Law, for the physical presence of the Law was still in this lake, so the Frankish people would likely send assassins here to tamper with it.

Attempting to further unbind the Fire Dragon Law.

The Captain of the Flying Dragon Knight Group, kneeling on dragon back, said to Ivita, "I will do everything within my power to kill anyone who comes near here, apart from you."

The knights also knelt on dragon back and swore their oaths.

Dozens of flying dragons roared in unison, their cries overlapping in the air layer by layer, gradually enhancing the dragon majesty, keeping nearby birds from daring to approach, and insects and lizards hiding among the nearby rocks frantically burrowed underground.

Ivita knew that the Flying Dragon Knight Group, thanks to the magical immunity of their dragons, inherently suppressed witches who intruded, but she was still not quite at ease. Hence, her Destiny Magic appeared in her left eye, and within a burst of dazzling golden flames, a Three-headed Phoenix appeared above the physical essence of the Law.

Ivita manipulated her limited control over the Fire Dragon Law, as dragon flames from Dragon Fire Bay Lake landed on the Three-headed Phoenix. Under the union of two Laws of fire and Ivita’s magical power, the three-headed Phoenix gradually fused into one head, but this new phoenix had even more magnificent plumes, its neck adorned with complicated vermilion feather patterns, and it also boasted three pairs of wings each bearing burning vermilion flames.

"The Fire Dragon Law has augmented my Phoenix Magic into Vermilion Bird Magic. The flames have become much stronger; the Vermilion Bird’s Fire seems able to burn through space," Ivita thought, realizing that if she could fully gain control over the Fire Dragon Law, her Phoenix Magic would be complete Vermilion Bird Magic everywhere.

Ivita commanded the knights, "My Vermilion Bird will assist you here, and that makes me feel somewhat more at ease."

The Captain of the Flying Dragon Knight Group reverently glanced at the astonishing creature above, awed by the powerful flame power that even seemed to distort time and space. "Your Majesty, with your magic aiding us, this place is truly invulnerable."

Placing the Fire Magic here meant that Ivita, elsewhere, could not use her Vermilion Bird Magic, but it did not bother him.

Should real danger arise, a strategic retreat would suffice.

Even if the Witch Queen herself arrived, Ivita could probably escape, losing a Destiny Magic was not a great issue.
