Chapter 813: Chapter 427: Obtaining the Door of Truth_2

And in his anxiety, the higher ranger saw all his arrows aimed at Ivita destroyed by the Cloak of Destruction.

Ivita observed the ancient war tree and said, "The ancient tree and the natural environment are like fish and water, perfectly integrated. The vigorous life force continuously gathers into the body of the tree from nature, allowing it to influence nature and create what are called spells."

"It seems similar to magic, but in fact, it is completely different. They are worlds apart."

"Nature spells themselves are the norm within nature."

Ivita quickly made a judgment. "Within the same rank, Druids absolutely wouldn’t stand a chance against the witches. The witches possess the Soul of Darkness and Light Soul, easily able to twist the laws of physics, reshape the rules of the world, alter rationality, change memories, everything they do goes against the natural order."

"But what the Druids can do is merely harness these natural laws. The two are worlds apart, completely divergent."

"If this war tree represents the normal state of the Druids, then it’s no wonder the Druids would fail. But then again, Druids might possess new powers at higher levels."

As Ivita pondered, he suddenly saw the opposing war tree snap a branch from its own crown and hurl it at Ivita.

The branch transformed into a wooden spear as it flew through the air.

The higher ranger looked at the giant Ivita and sneered, "Damned giant, taste the most powerful spell of the War Tree—the War Spear."

Ivita realized he couldn’t dodge the spell; in his view, the spell was merely the war tree gathering natural energy into its body and then using the sacrifice of a limb to accumulate all that natural energy and radically intensify it.

Or rather, this was nature taken to the extreme.

But it was still within the bounds of natural laws.

Ivita was somewhat disappointed by this.

’It seems I won’t find any Druidic secrets in this ancient tree,’ Ivita thought while he opened the Dark Door in front of himself, diverting the attack of the War Spear back towards the higher ranger and the war tree itself.

In an instant, the higher ranger and the war tree in the fire pit were stupefied.

The higher ranger said, "What!"

"Tree, quickly summon the nature spirits, let them lend you their strength, or we are all going to die."

Ivita reached out with his right hand, his powerful magic twisting physical laws, using the Light Soul to create natural laws completely opposite to those of the real world.

"First, force will not transfer. Second, the temperature shall not decrease; third, flames can incinerate everything..."

The war tree transmitted to the higher ranger’s brain, "I can’t sense any nature spirits anymore. For a moment, it feels like I’ve arrived in another world."

"That giant wizard is too powerful. Giants are typically melee fighters; he might be the most powerful giant wizard ever. Friend, after I die, please collect my seeds and help me resurrect."

’Bang~’

The War Spear pierced through the body of the war tree, and then Ivita triggered the fire magic, making a three-headed phoenix rise from within the fire pit, majestically beautiful, carrying countless sparks into the sky, which then fell back down.

For a moment, everyone’s attention was drawn here.

Giant Ivita looked towards the center of the firelight, his eyes cold. He could feel that, at the moment he was about to kill the two Druid professionals, they quickly used a puppet replacement spell to escape.

’They actually got away, but they couldn’t have done that alone—someone on the battlefield must have forcibly used the Druids’ unique spells to save them,’ Ivita thought. "The number of Druids must be small, otherwise there wouldn’t be a need for such measures."

"Just two mediocre professionals."

The noble faction’s forces stared at the giant Ivita pondering on the city wall, filled with both terror and fear.

"Aren’t all giants melee fighters? Why is that giant a wizard?"

"Moreover, that wizard is too powerful. Our side’s Treants died on contact. They didn’t even have a chance to fight back, with that giant guarding that section of the wall, who can breach it?"

Noble faction’s higher professionals internally assessed how they would cope with the gravity magic the giant Ivita could casually unleash, and how to face his incredibly powerful fire magic.

Meanwhile, the city faction’s guild leaders, having witnessed this scene, completely dismissed their guard against giant Ivita, even delighted that the giant stood on their side.

The leader of the Ambros Weaving Guild said, "No wonder this giant became a wizard, republic-loving giants are smarter than ordinary giants. You see, republicanism can improve intelligence. The nobility’s way only leads to brainlessness, meaning nothing at all."

Another guild leader said, "Initially, I didn’t trust him and had people watch him. But today, he has completely lost any chance of reconciliation with the nobles."

"We need to promote this giant more. It seems that there are many capable individuals among the republic-loving races. We need to utilize them."

Giant Ivita glanced subtly in the direction of the guild leaders.

While everyone’s attention was on Giant Ivita, Ivita’s second avatar had already led the cultists into a blood pool in the midst of the war.

Ivita’s second avatar used magic to shift the blood pool to the edge of the battlefield and began to harness the energy of the blood pool to force out the Door of Truth.

As Ivita’s second avatar chanted the spell, the blood magic turned into beads of blood that drifted into midair and then began to burn.

The burning blood beads made a sort of phantom portal flicker in and out of existence in the air.

With a ’click’ sound, it was as if the door opened.

Ivita’s second avatar reached out, and the Door of Truth fell into his hand. "Who would have thought, human life, once precious, becoming so cheap in war."

"I can easily open the Door of Truth."

"No wonder witches and wizards always love to create chaos. War turns many originally precious things into cheap ones."

With the Door of Truth in hand, the Ultimate Truth Gate Potion now only needed his soul fragment.

A puzzled expression surfaced on the square face of Ivita’s second avatar. "A wizard’s soul is too important."

"Splitting my soul is not an option. But I’ve heard that in Ambros City, the Weaving Guild possesses a mirror called ’Astorobo,’ which can duplicate souls."

"Luckily, my giant avatar has blended in among them and might be able to steal that mirror by the way."

...

Deep in the forest valley, Ivita, the Hearthstone Witch, and Kristin were still contemplating how to control the body of the Ice and Snow Queen.

The Hearthstone Witch was very frightened. "Should we go back now, or stay here?"

Kristin said, "Old Witch, isn’t that obvious?"

"Ivita, maybe we should leave this place for now."

Ivita frowned; he could feel that the Ice and Snow Queen had noticed them and would target them in the future.

Leaving now, unless they immediately left Ambros, would cause trouble later.

"Damn," Ivita thought. "How should I seal this one?"

"Wait, actually, I just need to make sure she doesn’t focus on me. As for her and the secrets behind her, they have nothing to do with me now."

He suddenly looked at the magic wand in his hand: the Golden Sun.

He wielded this wand, and the magic he then cast was, by no means, evadable.

Ivita tried using the Dark Door on the tentacles near the Ice and Snow Queen, and indeed, the tentacles entered the Dark Door and were transported elsewhere.

"If I set up the Dark Door here in advance, whenever she tries to attack me, I’ll trigger the Dark Door. Since it’s undefendable, the Ice and Snow Queen’s reflexive magic to suck the world will be transported away when directed at me."

"If not for the wand, this wouldn’t be possible. The Dark Door would be sucked in by those tentacles. But the Golden Sun Wand has an indefensible characteristic."

Ivita’s eyes lit up.

He had a plan only feasible with the Golden Sun Wand and the Dark Door’s teleportation magic, to dodge the Ice and Snow Queen’s sucking magic.
