Chapter 740: Chapter 392: God’s Son_2

However, while Ivita was lost in thought, he suddenly heard a scream from Miss Cap next to him. Two Sun God Sect disciples had somehow sneaked up on him.

That’s right.

Ivita thought to himself, nearly forgetting – he was also a potential heir, as was Cap.

If the Sun God Sect’s goal was to snatch away the potential heirs, then they would also target him. Even though he was just standing on the sidelines, he would still be drawn into this war.

The two black-robed believers of the Sun God Sect were crazily sprinting towards Ivita and Cap, ready to grab them both and abduct them.

However, the four Knight Robinsones were faster.

Knight Robinson stood in front of Ivita, his dual-handed sword shrouded with auras, and swung his sword towards the Sun God believer’s head, intending to split him in half.

The believer who had rushed towards Ivita was deflected with a strike from Robinson, his superior sword power penetrating like a harmful poison, seeping from his skin pores and causing internal damage.

With such a strike, even a formal knight could lose his power to fight.

On Cap’s side, the so-called God Shooter aimed precisely at the black-robed believer who had lunged towards Cap and shot an arrow, hitting his left eye. That believer also fell straight to the ground.

However, what happened next caused Cap to scream in horror.

Both black-robed believers who had been taken down, whether by Robinson’s evil Qi or by the God Shooter’s precise aim, stood up as if it was nothing and ran towards Ivita and Cap again, their agile movements strangely dashing.

Their running stance was bizarrely... perfect.

Much more perfect than any ordinary person could achieve.

Ivita frowned, stepping forward. "A special ability to resist damage... no wonder the Black Knights found them challenging."

"If hundreds of black-robed followers had the ability to resist damage, it would amount to a terrifyingly formidable army. But that can’t be right. Every magic or ritual has a flaw. There must be something in the Oasis that is their Achilles heel," he added.

"Your Highness, let them fight. We should retreat." The Hearthstone Witch urged, pulling Ivita back to hide behind Robinson and the advanced ranger.

The advanced ranger used [Energy Absorption]and [Life Absorption], the latter being a higher level skill, which allowed him to absorb enemies’ vitality during combat.

A white light and a green light appeared on the two black-robed people.

The advanced ranger frowned. "At this rate of absorption, Robinson, those two believers’ vitality and spirituality are even inferior to a formal knight. They seem to be equivalent to first-level professionals."

"There must be some sort of secret technique."

Knight Robinson repeatedly slashed at them only for them to bounce right back up, charged with fierce excitement, like overly stimulated zealots unafraid of death.

Ivita shrugged off the Hearthstone Witch’s hand on his. "You attack. Use magic, let’s see if they can resist that!"

The Hearthstone Witch shook her hands frantically. "I can’t. Robinson can’t beat them either!!"

Ivita quickly enveloped the Hearthstone Witch in his newly restored Light Soul. "I’ll boost you!"

The Hearthstone Witch looked miserable. "Alright...okay."

Unexpectedly, the two believers suddenly stopped, which left Robinson and the others in confusion.

For the Sun God Sect, their behavior was like the actions of a madman who rushes into your house, attacks you, and then suddenly stops. This left the likes of Robinson at a loss as to what their real purpose was.

Perhaps... madmen have no purpose?

The black-robed believers observed Ivita’s Light Soul power warily.

"That’s what our lord warned us to avoid. We should go."

"Respecting the will of our lord is the path we should take, especially now that we already have a God Child."

With that, the two figures turned and fled without hesitation.

As Robinson prepared to chase after them, Ivita stopped him. "No need to chase. They seem to want to avoid provoking me. Our goal is to get to the Iron Crown mountain range as soon as possible."

"After all, their killing of potential subsequent heirs could actually help me."

Knight Robinson stopped in his tracks, catching his breath. "It wasn’t until I met these cult followers that I realized how righteous The Church is and the benefits of all its seemingly needless rules."

By then, the killing in the oasis began to slow down.

The Black Knights had killed most of the black-robed followers, capturing over twenty of them. The captured followers were pressed down on the ground by the Puppet Knights, lying flat like livestock.

Ivita was curious as to how the Black Knights were able to kill the cult followers. He also wanted to test if the Black Knights would attack him. Thus, he led everyone to teleport directly over using the Dark Door.

The Hearthstone Witch and Knight Robinson and their group couldn’t understand.

They couldn’t just walk that several hundred meters?

They teleported directly.

The God Shooter whispered, "If we keep this up, won’t we lack physical exercise?"

As soon as Ivita teleported in, he appeared next to the Black Knight. Anticipating the risk of a sudden attack, Robinson positioned himself in front of Ivita for protection.
