Chapter 670: Chapter 363 Becoming an Earl and Gaining the Trust of the Church_1
As the thunder dragon at the heart of the storm prepared for its final attack against the third-generation vampire from the Pearl Tooth Kingdom, Ivita and Pan God stepped out from the Dark Door in time. Casting an illusion of herself using Law Magic in front of the divine dragon, Ivita cried out, "Halt!"
The divine dragon, which had Ivita’s illusion looming above it, nodded at Ivita.
The next moment, the smoke and clouds lingering in the sky above the vanished territory dispersed, leaving the sky impossibly clear, as though the stormy eye and divine dragon had completely disappeared.
Upon witnessing Ivita’s mastery over her magic, both Pan God and the third-generation vampire recoiled, their pupils shrinking suddenly.
Pan God mulled over it in silence. ’In just six months, she’s grown even more powerful in the Black Sea. Her magic is nigh on manipulating the laws of physics, controlling the surrounding air and environment at will. It’s inconceivable.’
’Had she been in the Magic Black Forest, she would have garnered so much more renown. I wonder what Ivita intends to do next.’
’I had underestimated her.’
Pan God told the third-generation vampire, "Listen up, Tryst. Due to some special circumstance, your king and The Church have asked me to present a new agreement to Ivita. We will handle the negotiations with Ivita in a more equal manner. She has been considered a dark horse by the kings of various nations, so it’s appropriate to treat her a bit more equally."
The third-generation vampire, visibly thirsty for murder after recognizing Ivita as the main body, rapidly recovered from the hole in his chest left by the divine thunder.
Although he’d lost half of his ancestral blood, he was, after all, still a third-generation vampire.
Not to mention, the Sword of Slaughter was in his hand.
Pan God raised his ring—mounted with a piece of square topaz roughly the size of a pigeon’s egg—and narrowing his eyes dangerously, said, "And what is it you’re thinking? This is an order from the king of Pearl Tooth. It’s the king’s ring."
"Are you planning to defy the king’s order?"
As the third-generation vampire saw the king’s ring in Pan God’s hand, he kneeled on one knee and bowed to the ring. "That brat called Ivita might pose a threat to The Church. Lord Peter!"
A wordless Ivita spoke softly to Pan God, "Aren’t you a druid? How are you friends with the king of Pearl Tooth?"
Pan God whispered back, "For some reasons, I’m a guest at various royal courts. Of course, they don’t know that I’m a druid, so I’d appreciate if you could keep this to yourself."
Pan God coldly said to the third-generation vampire, "Tryst, that’s a matter for those high-ranking folks to ponder. A lowly Guardian Knight like you, don’t think too much. You only need to know it’s an order from your king."
The third-generation vampire clenched his teeth in resignation to the current situation. "Alright then."
Then, Ivita activated the Dark Door, instantly plunging everything into darkness. It engulfed everything on the ground, from trees, grass, and rocks to Ivita, Pan God, and the third-generation vampire.
Next moment, they appeared up north.
They saw Ivita’s fifty-meter-tall giant engaging in battle with a high-level Ranger, holding the magic whip of the purple-dressed witch in its hand. For the time being, however, none of them could gain an edge.
Pan God intervened in the giant’s battle with Jobulu, and explained the current situation.
Jobulu, already troubled by a headache, immediately agreed to a ceasefire to avert a persistent nuisance as the third-generation vampire, Tryst, had proven to be.
Jobulu extended the right hand to Ivita, saying, "You are a powerful wizard. I hope we can meet again, Ivita."
Ivita hesitated at first, but ended up shaking his hand. "Hmm."
The third-generation vampire snickered. "Don’t underestimate us [Heroes]. Had Mr. Peter not intervened, you would have seen us fighting with all our might. We haven’t even used our Hero skills!"
The main reason was, however, Ivita’s Thunder Dragon Magic was suppressing him too much.
He didn’t get a chance to use it at all.
Ivita raised an eyebrow, her face painted in a comical expression. It wasn’t meant to mock the vampire, but to find humor in the ridiculousness of Pan God being a high-ranking adviser in the royal court.
No wonder the Magic Black Forest had been plagued by so many incidents recently. Having such a troublemaker around was indeed problematic.
Pan God said to Ivita, "Alright, I have lots of work to do. Let’s make this brief."
Pan God took out two parchment scrolls from his waist, glanced at high-level Ranger Jobulu and the third-generation vampire, Tryst. Upon seeing the fire wax seals on the scrolls, Tryst’s pupils suddenly contracted, but he ultimately didn’t dare to speak.
Pan God said, "Firstly, the most important private command from Pope Innocent II sealed with his emblem—Greetings, faithful follower of the God of All Things. We believe you’ve beheld the inhumane event sixty years ago, tolerated by The Church. Pope Casket Ric has abdicated and died a disgraced death because of it. But if too many people got wind of this incident, it would severely undermine the moral authority of The Church. We don’t want anything of the sort to happen, yet the heretic ships have already attacked the capital cities of various nations, even the Imperial City of the Holy Empire."
