The witch thought I am a Demon God

Chapter 658: Chapter 358: Meeting the Goddess_2

Ivita’s real body sat in the seat in the palace. He heard a huge roar from outside, he looked up and saw a huge fish vaguely appearing in the darkness of the sky outside his Soul Palace.

The fish bore the signs of a mantis attack on its body.

This fish had eight glaring red eyes, its giant body was a colossal entity, as large as a small hill.

It swam around his Soul Palace, gasping in and out, inhaling the traces of previously invaded mantis demons.

Ivita sensed a sense of danger emanating from the body of the Dark Demon Fish. It seems that the lower apostles of the Evil Domain were merely the food for that fish, perhaps even the air it breathes.

The vastness of the Evil Domain was truly eye-opening.

Ivita looked at the endless darkness outside the Soul Palace, and the faintly visible land, sea, sky, and mountains in the darkness. He was amazed by the vastness of the world. But he also was worried about what that demon fish might do to him.

The next moment, the Demon Fish rushed over and struck directly.

’Clang~’

A remote castle amongst the multitude in Ivita’s Soul Palace was crushed under the weight of the Demon Fish, nearly half of it was destroyed.

Ivita frowned, "Damnit. It turned on me after all. In this Evil Domain, my Soul Palace must bear countless pressures every moment. Now, it is causing destruction, but since this is the Evil Domain, it is the place where black magic is most concentrated. My black magic also increases in power. In this Evil Domain, I may be able to fight this Demon Fish apostle."

A terrible voice came from the body of the Demon Fish. ’Mortal, go down.’

’Mortal, you have exceeded the limit. When I was still a wizard before becoming a cornerstone of the dark world, I only ascended a thousand meters.’

The voice of the Demon Fish was full of jealousy. ’Get down!’

Ivita sneered, using his full strength to perform Thunder Dragon Magic. A Thunder Dragon came out of the clouds to strike directly at the Demon Fish. Suddenly, a lot of plasma balls exploded on the body of the dark Demon Fish. The Demon Fish was wailing and cursing. ’This magic, it’s actually restraining the apostles of the Evil Domain...’

’I am the Demon Fish General, you...’

"It seems my attack is very effective." Ivita didn’t notice that the shadow under his feet had transformed into the shape of the Feathered Serpent God.

He stared at the Demon Fish and continued his Thunder Dragon attack on it. "Just a loser who fell into the Evil Domain and was backfired by magic. A jealous and petty-minded descendant."

The Demon Fish, who was wounded from the Thunder Dragon’s attack, suddenly raised its crimson eyes, preparing to strike Ivita’s Soul Palace with full force, wanting them to die together. But at that moment, a huge Dark Bird descended from the Evil Domain’s sky.

There were thirty-six Destruction Spheres hovering around the Dark Bird. Ivita even noticed that if anyone of these Destruction Spheres hit his Soul Palace, it could potentially destroy his palace.

The giant bird landed, grabbed the Demon Fish tangled by the Thunder Dragon, then flew to the sky, and like a bird eating a worm, it tore off a large piece from it, and slowly ate it.

The giant bird spoke, ’Just a small fish, putting on airs. Making a joke of itself.’

’This kind of small fish, I can eat hundreds in a day.’

’Everyone, this wizard’s Soul Palace has risen five hundred meters in the dark domain. He is destined to cross the dark domain. Don’t attack in the last five hundred meters.’

’Whoever attacks will be my dinner.’

Ivita looked up at the hovering Dark Bird in the sky. Indeed, countless apostles were leaving his Soul Palace.

However, after such a commotion, his Soul Palace was severely damaged. If it continues to be attacked like this, it might be knocked down.

Ivita told the people around him: "Hurry up and repair the Palace."

The people looked at each other, then said to Ivita: "Your Majesty. It’s not that we don’t want to help you. But where are the materials to repair such a large area of damage to the Soul Palace? We need bricks and tiles to repair the Palace."

After thinking for a while, Ivita said to them: "You can extract it from the ritual power that Princess Frog gave me."

Suddenly, the ritual power turned into bricks and appeared in the Palace group.

The people cheered, picked up the bricks from the ground, and quickly began to repair the damaged Soul Palace.

Ivita continued to watch the Soul Palace rise. In this mysterious realm of darkness, Ivita felt that the dark domain seemed endless and even more fearsome creatures lurked therein than the gigantic bird they had encountered before. Upon seeing Ivita and the palace, these monsters opened their eyes for a moment to gaze at them, and then continued to sleep.

Ivita also noticed that within the dark domain were massive wells of unknown purpose. Out of them, dark apostles would enter, never to be seen again.

In another part of the dark domain, Ivita noticed a colossal monolith with numerous dark apostles carving upon it. Once completed, they would topple the monolith and begin crafting a new one on the spot.

This cycle would repeat endlessly.

Ivita was clueless about their purposes.

Although Ivita wanted to continue observing, when the Soul Palace ascended past six thousand meters, his view was filled not by impenetrable darkness but swirls of multicolored miasma.

The miasma was of various hues.

Most of it was of a dark yellow and blackish-red color.

A good number of people fell sick upon breathing in these gases. Ivita inhaled a strain of purple gas, and two pustules sprouted on his arm.

The situation put Ivita on high alert. ’Since the souls of the humans in the Magic Black Forest are connected to the domains of all Witch Kings. Could this be the domain of the Yellow Black Queen? Is all of this a plague?’

He heard chatter within this dominion.

’It seems that something has intruded the Plague Domain. Could it be that someone has brought the Soul Palace here?’

’Forget it. Let’s just ignore it. What does it have to do with us, anyway? Remember, the more chaotic the mortal world is, the easier it is for plagues to emerge.’

’You have a point... Alright, let’s ignore the intruder. Everyone go back to sleep and mind your own business.’

Inside the Soul Palace, Ivita’s mouth twitched uncontrollably. He noticed that the pustules on his arm had disappeared, and those within the Soul Palace who had inhaled the plague gas were all in good health again.

"..." Ivita.

Ivita: "It appears the apostles here have just decided to leave me be."

"They seriously don’t want to deal with this."

"I should be thankful for their disregard. Otherwise, if they had attacked my palace, the already severely damaged palace might not have been able to continue ascending."

Then, the Soul Palace soared another thousand meters, leaving the Plague Domain behind and managing to repair the previous damages within this period.

At seven thousand meters, Ivita observed continued changes in their environment. This time, they had arrived at a domain with a full moon.

There were no clouds in sight, nor anything else in the sky.

The palace halted beneath the silvery glow of the full moon, seeming unable to ascend any further.

A goddess materialized in front of Ivita’s Soul Palace.

Ivita looked at the goddess and asked, "Are you the Full Moon Queen?"

The goddess was ethereal and captivating beneath the moonlight, far surpassing any human beauty. Her attire seemed to be spun of threads of moonlight, and she moved in the glow of the full moon.

She glanced at Ivita and broke out into a smile. "I am far from that powerful. I am only a maid beside the queen, a spirit that once controlled tides and caused havoc in the Magic Black Forest. Due to challenging the queen, I was banished and tasked with moon-watching."

"Sigh."

"I have been imprisoned on the moon for five hundred years, and this is the first time I’ve encountered a wizard’s soul body."

"You have arrived above the moon, are you aware of that?"

"Since you’re here, you might as well stay. Would you stay and keep me company? I can offer you immortality, even the essence of a deity. However, the condition is that you must reside on the moon and accompany me forever!"
