At that point in her discourse, a column of ice suddenly surged under the feet of Ivita and the Hearthstone Witch, lifting them high into the sky, atop the castle.

Ivita looked around, astoundingly, she could see the entire lost territory from up here.

On the plain directly below the huge hole that had suddenly appeared in the sky, countless graveyards had been constructed. The numerous gravestones were shocking to behold, and Ivita immediately noticed that there were hundreds of thousands of these gravestones, each with a unique marking, seemingly a part of some exclusive ceremony.

Even though the ceremony had concluded, and sixty years had passed, Ivita could still sense a power in the graveyard area that was far more terrifying and evil than death, night or demon, along with the remnants of spirituality.

Was that truly the truth that the countries wished to hide?!

A massive ice column also appeared under the Ice Witch, elevating her to the same height as Ivita. "That is the Koel Peninsula Giant Cemetery. It was brought about by the collective authorities of more than six kingdom-level laws and the Holy Church’s laws. They used the identities of the hero and the princess to radiate the belief in the God of All Things across every corner of the nations."

"We’re just a band of pirates, puppets of the nations. We have nothing to do with this matter. What we did was graft the laws, destroying most of the Divine Spring Law, and then planting the law of Evergreen Spring Tree, an Elf clan that was eradicated by the nations, in the spring eye of the Fountain of Justice, which is now located in Central Harbour. From there, we absorbed the power and allowed the Evergreen Spring Tree to breed the Law Code of the Seven Seas."

"That’s the truth about the graft."

"The ceremony at that time required the Frog Princess as a sacrifice, as well as a human teenager, the witness. The law transplanting ceremony was handed down from the ancient civilization, and I personally researched and completed many of its missing parts."

"To undo the parasitic effect of the Seven Seas Law Code on the Divine Spring Law, you need the blood and spoken promise of two witnesses. Only then can you undo this grafting ceremony."

The Ice Witch glanced at the spiral ice staircase where her body lay, noting the speed at which the Sword of Power absorbed her mana. Had Ivita not done her a great favor, and had she not, over these two hundred fifty years, come to regard Ivita as a teacher and a benefactor, she would not have wasted so much time explaining to Ivita the truth she sought.

All of this was just to make killing Ivita somewhat easier later on.

The Ice Witch said, "As for why the lost territory disappeared, it’s because the princess of the Divine Spring Law, the Frog Princess, with the help of the Lamp God, the King of Elf, made a wish that made us all disappear, resulting in the disappearance of the territory. The magic that caused the residue of the whole territory to disappear afterward, however, was an enhanced illusion strengthened by linked magic."

"I remember the Frog Princess’s castle, it shouldn’t have been a part of the disappeared territory but should have been situated in a territory known as Thunder Fang Cliff. That castle was concealed by the illusion magic."

"The princess’s despair turned all the pirates on this territory into carrion monsters, and deprived everyone’s sight."

"Even now, I observe the world through a disembodied soul, rather than through physical eyes and spirit vision."

"The knights loyal to the princess are still fighting for her in some corners of the forest and the cliffs in the disappeared territory, trying to rescue the princess from my Ice Palace beneath my feet."

Ivita said to her, "I feel something strange about this Ice Palace."

"Hm, a part of this palace was indeed made by mortal craftsmen." Ice Witch replied, "But a part of it is actually the projection of my soul palace straight into the physical world."

"This palace is the embodiment of my true magical powers."

Ivita frowned.

That’s why she felt uneasy ever since she entered the palace.

The Ice Lich said, "At the start, the princess disrupted the ritual with the power of the Lamp God. The ritual was not fully successful, leading Marco Anson to do a lot of remedial work to make the Seven Seas Law Code function normally. We originally decided to kill the Frog Princess after the ritual, but because of the Lamp God, I now have to suppress the Frog Princess with my own Soul Palace."

"To prevent her from escaping."

"If she escapes, she may gather the blood of two ritual witnesses, undermining our efforts of over sixty years."

The Ice Lich said to Ivita, "Teacher, do you think, under such circumstances, should I do my utmost to prevent you from rescuing the Frog Princess under the ice? "One hundred and fifty thousand," the Ice Lich sneered. An ice wand appeared in her hand. At the top of the wand was a soaring ice sculpture of an owl. "One hundred and fifty thousand people, who forcibly ’linked’ most of the laws in the Magic Black Forest to the Divine Spring Law, extracting the specific ’Heroes’ and ’Princesses’ from the Divine Spring Law."

"The way to achieve this, we pirates, with the help of Marco Anson, discovered it in a vast area like a new continent from the primitive tribes there. Oh yes, the discoverer...seems to be called Peter Pan."

Ivita was silent, his face twitching.

The Ice Lich said, "This is a method to link the laws by using blood sacrifice and religious rituals, allowing different laws to share common characteristics. This cruel method is too primitive, a unique technique of the native tribes in that area."

"Because of the ritual conditions, one can’t use animal life, it must be human life, and must be lives of believers of the God of All Things."

"Although the Church did not participate back in the days, they knew about it, they just stood by."

The Hearthstone Witch laughed uproariously while holding her stomach. "Hahaha... a group of hypocrites. Neither good nor purely evil, just a bunch of shameless fools."

"No wonder they’re all so secretive. So they’ve done such things."

"Why not let everyone know about these good things? Let everyone see what the world really looks like."

Ivita didn’t say anything. After all, this happened sixty years ago. Many of those responsible have retired, and it’s too late to find them now.

"So the Seven Seas Law Code has nothing to do with it."
