Chapter 502: Chapter 296: The Huge Secret of Peter Pan, Black Heart, and Private Waters 30 Years Ago_3

The sea surface was immediately filled with countless schools of fish rolling about. In addition to the common sea fish, there were a small number of man-eating fish mingled in. As a result, the fishing zone here did carry certain risks.

Ivita knew that this was mainly due to the Valji Family neglecting this prime fishing zone for some unknown reason for over ten years. Without any maintenance, it paved the way for some foreign species to invade.

The Hearthstone Witch used her Spirit Vision to examine the sea surface, but ended up puzzled. "There’s a lot of spirit energy in this sea area, all of it from fish, but nothing seems out of ordinary. Why is the Valji family keeping outsiders away from here?"

"Wait... something’s not right..."

Ivita also noticed the anomaly.

Although the sea looked quite normal, the spiritual fluctuations on the surface were very uniform, as if someone had laid a fake curtain on the surface.

The Hearthstone Witch transformed into a vulture and soared into the air. She hovered above the sea then suddenly plummeted directly into the center of the sea like a falling aircraft. As she dove in, a giant whirlpool appeared on the surface.

All the fish seemed to sense danger, schooling together and darting away from the whirlpool in droves.

"Someone has set up a Shielding Curse that covers the entire sea surface." The voice of the Hearthstone Witch echoed from beneath the sea. "My Lord, the witch who set up this curse must be no less than The Great Witch. The Valji Family must have paid a substantial price to hire The Great Witch, keeping a massive secret hidden. I am now using my mana to break this Shielding Curse, try using your Spirit Vision again."

Ivita’s eyes glowed with a bright blue arcane light. He immediately saw two enormous black-red spirits beneath the fishing area. They were of the third-level professions, but their sheer size made their spirit energy massive, like small mountains.

There were actually two sea monsters!

Ivita noticed that these sea monsters were frantically consuming the fish in the fishing area. Yes, that’s it. The fishing ban was in place to feed these fish to the sea monsters.

But why were these fish, despite knowing about the sea monsters, still approaching this area?

Ivita looked deeper into the sea, discovering that at the depths of the sea, an incredibly vast and potent spirit energy burst forth. The Shielding Curse was seemingly maintained to conceal this spirit energy.

The spirit energy was shrouded in a black aura, filled with malicious intents and unyielding willpower. Ivita knew that even after a thousand years, this spirit energy would remain undiminished.

Whose spirit energy could possibly be this powerful?

What in the world was at the bottom of the sea? The Valji Family’s rapid rise is probably connected to whatever is at the bottom of the sea.

Suddenly, in a daze, Ivita seemed to hear a voice whispering in his ear. ’Save me...’

But when he regained his senses, he was unsure if he had actually heard it since the voice was so faint and seemed to possess some power to make one forget, or even hallucinate.

Ivita looked at the fishing zone, deep in thought. "There must be a significant secret beneath. It might increase my strength, it would be a shame to miss it. But it could also be dangerous, I should have Hearthstone Witch to investigate for me first."
