Chapter 491: Chapter 293 Rainbow Spiritual Element Thymus, Spiritual Balloon Expansion of Whole Body Muscle Fibers_1

Ivita said to the Iron Mountain Knight in the cage: "I have eliminated Valji Family’s influence in the Transfer Port."

The knight in thin gray clothing within the cage raised his brows with surprise, as if astonished that the powerful pirate and smuggler group he was captured by could possibly be destroyed by the young man before him.

The Transfer Port is one of the most important harbors in the pirate world, second only to the Central Harbour, Giant Port, Black Port and Abyss Port. The most significant aspect of the Transfer Port is it allows travel to all the above-mentioned ports. If someone could eliminate the influence of the Valji Family in the Transfer Port before all the pirates, then this person must be a great hero.

The Iron Mountain Knight was straightforward and loyal. He would not deny Ivita just because of his youth. Therefore, he had an additional layer of respect for Ivita.

The Iron Mountain Knight said to Ivita, "If it is so, then thank you for ridding the world of a cancerous family. You will receive the God of All Things’ blessing. You can present your merits to The Church, produce evidence, and you will receive Church divine rewards, including territories."

Ivita raised his eyebrows; he almost forgot that nominally, The Church was hunting these pirates. He had exterminated the Valji Family, a family almost akin to large-scale smugglers; thus, he could go to The Church to claim a reward.

Ivita shook his head, "Don’t thank me just yet. I want you to pledge allegiance to me. If I rescue you from this dungeon now, wouldn’t you feel inclined to thank me?"

The Iron Mountain Knight hesitated. "If you did indeed exterminate that cancerous family, then I should thank you, you may ask me to do something for you. But I cannot pledge my loyalty to you, as I have already pledged it to the Epirus Republic. It is not a big state, just a small city-state, but I am highly loyal and protective of it."

Ivita raised an eyebrow; this was somewhat troublesome. He knew that a knight’s loyalty was firm. Once a knight had made up his mind to serve a state, it would be challenging for him to change his decision in a short period.

The Epirus Republic?

He had an impression of it. Wasn’t it the Witch Republic that he encountered in Ambros’s city of Parviga, which turned Miss Alexei into a Heartless?

Ivita looked at the Iron Mountain Knight again. After examining him briefly, he asked doubtfully, "Don’t you know that the Epirus Republic is a Witch Republic?"

After much astonishment, the Iron Mountain Knight’s face filled with anger. He tightly grasped the barriers of his cage. Unfortunately, Valji Family’s people inject his muscles every six hours with an anesthetic extracted from the Sea King Monster, so he can hardly exert any strength now, and naturally cannot break the bars of this cage. "Wizard! Do not slander my homeland!"

"The Epirus Republic is the oldest republic in this world."

"How could it possibly be the evil Witch Republic!"

The Hearthstone Witch sneered. "Actually, it’s quite the opposite. I know the history of Epirus; the witches of Epirus claims that the history of Epirus was before the Ancient Civilization. But in reality, that country’s history should start about more than two hundred years ago."

"More than two hundred years ago, after The Church initiated the Sacred Purge, there were humans hunting witches everywhere within the Magic Black Forest. As a result, the witches of Epirus turned their bodies into stone statues, buried themselves underground for two hundred years, and only dared to appear again in recent decades."

"They manipulated the country of Epirus, pretending it was an ordinary human council controlling that city-state. I think at the point you fell into such a lowly state, you should have noticed this. Must you deceive yourself?"

The Iron Mountain Knight’s expression changed several times.

He carefully recalled how he had fallen from an elite knight protecting his country and becoming a precious slave in the hands of the pirates. He reflected on past doubts, feeling he had suspicions earlier. Now, he had no choice but to face the truth.

The Iron Mountain Knight sighed, eventually saying nothing, only grasping onto the bars of his cage with a sigh.

Ivita saw his inner turmoil and felt it was better that way. After all, he needed loyal direct subordinates, not a group of fair-weather pirates. Thus, he appreciated the Iron Mountain Knight’s seemingly ’foolish’ loyalty.

Ivita took this opportunity to say, "Your homeland is a land full of lies, making what you protect nothing but lies. However, you could start over, beginning the moment I rescue you from this prison now."

"Place your loyalty on something truly worth it, so your loyalty won’t wither away in vain!"

The Iron Mountain Knight glared at Ivita and said, "Wizard, what are you doing in this pirate world then?"

Ivita said, "Someone owes me something on Cross Island. I’m just here to claim what belongs to me - two parcels of land of the Viscount."

The Iron Mountain Knight’s pupils contracted suddenly.

The desire to conquer new land was inscribed deep in every knight’s genes.

The Iron Mountain Knight knew, Ivita’s purpose for coming to Cross Island was conquest. He could seize his own territory.
