Chapter 489: Chapter 291 The Tsar’s Law and the Eastern Orthodox Church_4

The man was roughly thrown into the sewer system of the Transfer Port city by Duva Gureggrevsky’s two musclebound henchmen, a sewer system that went straight out to sea!

The surrounding ruckus of the little pirates ceased when they saw Duva Gureggrevsky’s people exercising such a brutal hand, and they were instantly horrified.

The panicked crowd scattered.

Then Duva Gureggrevsky addressed everyone, "I am Duva Gureggrevsky, a professional pirate quartermaster."

"Now, everything of the Valji Family belongs to Lord Ivita. You scavengers and vultures better scuttle off. Anyone who stays will be killed and fed to the sharks of the sea."

The small pirates, terrified, dispersed automatically.

Duva Gureggrevsky lifted his head towards the manor’s locked, wrought-iron gate and laughed mockingly. "Once upon a time, your family ruthlessly took my customers’ money stored in my care, nearly ruining me. If not for a lucky break allowing me to bounce back, I could have starved."

"Today, I have returned. This time, I’ll take all of your family’s wealth. Although it’s not for me, but for Mr. Ivita, it’s still a fair trade-off. Hahaha..."

"Bust that iron gate for me."

"It seems that the big pirates have gone directly to rob the Valji Family’s shops scattered throughout the Transfer Port. They do understand the rules: they left the manor, the big prize, for Mr. Ivita, as it was Mr. Ivita who defeated the Valji Family."

Next, Ivita saw ten sturdy men on the quartermaster’s side bringing out a large log they had prepared in advance. Together, they struck at the iron gate, the gate-bashing shakes echoed around. After a few strong hits, the door was knocked open, and the iron lock fell onto the lawn.

Suddenly, the Valji family’s manor lay wide open in front of Ivita, utterly defenseless.

This was the fate of the defeated.

The two young Valji family servants behind the iron gate, startled by the scene before them, turned tail and ran, crying out, "They’re here! They’re finally here!"

"All those people are here, that demon named Ivita is here."

The quartermaster’s men swarmed in, some were assigned to guard the main gate to prevent anyone from escaping with valuables, not even a single servant of the Valji family estate could be allowed to leave.

Some picked up their weapons to clear out whatever resistance remained within the family, while others took up pen and ledger to inventory the Valji family’s assets.

Duva Gureggrevsky, highly experienced, loudly commanded, "Go find their ledger immediately! Don’t let them have a chance to destroy or alter it. Then, inventory all their family’s wealth; not even a single hair should be missed!"

"The master of the house will surely be disguised as a servant trying to escape, keep a close eye on those with delicate skin."

"Try not to damage the estate’s buildings, especially the easily shattered glass and the precious plants in the manor’s flowerbeds. These are now all Mr. Ivita’s property."

Before long, four terrified women, dressed in gorgeous clothing, were brought in by six strong men. Two additional men each had hold of a young boy, about eight, and a girl, around twelve.

The girl, upon seeing Duva Gureggrevsky and Ivita, became immensely enraged. Like a madwoman, she tried to kick at Duva Gureggrevsky. "You two devils! Gureggrevsky, you were once not even qualified to enter my house, what do you count for?"

"Ivita, you ruined my home, you demon!"

Duva Gureggrevsky mocked her in return, "And who’s hands are you in now?"

Ivita addressed the indignant young girl, "You blame me for destroying your family."

"But how many families did your own obliterate, how many people’s parents did they kill?"

The daughter of McLoughlin Valji was immediately silenced.

Because she knew she was in the wrong.

How could a family of murderers and thieves accuse others of destroying theirs?

Not long after, more of Duva Gureggrevsky’s men came rushing in, all expressing shock and panic. They reported to Duva Gureggrevsky and Ivita, "Gentlemen, we found a large number of slaves in the cellar of the Valji family estate."

"The Valji family has secretly been trafficking in slaves. They have been secretly selling humans to the Beastman kingdoms that worship the God of All Beasts!"
