Chapter 476: Chapter 285 Pure Power of Faith! Nagas Clan returns heart, decisive battle with the Valji Family’s fleet_3

The Feathered Serpent Pool atop Ivita’s own Spiral Tower had changed. The bottom was no longer entirely golden mist. Instead, there was a thin layer of white, snow-like substance — a collection of Power of Faith Ivita had gathered from her Naga vassals over time.

The Hearthstone Witch referred to this Power of Faith as the "Power of Blind Stupidity," But after being purified by the True God Power, it had become incredibly pure.

’The Power of Faith coming from the Naga Tribe has suddenly increased,’ Ivita thought. ’It must be because they’re gradually realizing that the power I... no, the power the Feathered Serpent God has gifted them, is something the Evil Gods can’t provide. Moreover, the fact that I’ve avenged them must have led them to fully accept their sacrifices to me.’

’This is good.’

’But as the Power of Faith they provide increases, the balance of power on my end is beginning to break.’

Ivita turned her attention back to the Transit Sea. The Valji family, having lost two two-masted sailing ships and eight one-masted sailing ships, had their sailors haul buckets onto the deck, continuously pouring their contents into the sea.

The contents of the buckets were poured into the ocean.

They seemed to be some sort of black pearls.

But after those black pearls had been dumped into the ocean for some time, the sea breeze and whirlwinds gradually began to cease.

Captain Sam hurried over and said to Ivita, "Those are the [Wind-calming Pearls] unique to the Black Sea. They can only be found in certain areas of the Black Sea monopolized by pirates. Each pearl thrown into the sea can quickly calm the raging sea."

"I thought they were just legend. I didn’t think they actually existed. The pirates sure have a lot of treasures. It seems Marco Anson must have gained countless precious resources when he ventured alone into the sea back in the day."

On the other side, the Valji family realized that although the sea breeze and waves could be forcibly calmed, the dark clouds and lightning in the sky couldn’t be stopped.

Their captains and McLoughlin Valji and Kertan Valji all wore grim expressions.

They had thought that gathering their fleet was them exerting their full strength like a lion hunting a rabbit. But now it seemed that they were temporarily at a disadvantage.

This was a fight between two tigers.

The most crucial point was that the big pirates watching from the side were all up to no good. No one knew when they would suddenly take action.

McLoughlin Valji felt like bleeding with each loss of his ships.

With a ferocious look on his face, McLoughlin Valji could only give the order: "Fire! Fire back~!"

"Fire~ Bombard them to death with a hail of cannonballs."

"Encirclement strategy!"

As he gave the order, his captains shouted out orders to the other captains, who then relayed the instructions to their respective first mates and boatswains. Then, the two three-masted heavy vessels, thirteen two-masted medium vessels, and forty-nine one-masted light vessels, formed an encircling trend to surround and attack Ivita’s six ships.

Meanwhile, a barrage of cannonballs was shot towards Ivita’s six ships and the Nagas. The dense rain of cannonballs severely damaged Ivita’s six ships in the first round, pitting the sea surface like a sieve.

Then, the second round of cannon fire came.

The thunderous sound of cannons echoed over the sea, even hitting seven of the Feathered Serpent God’s priests, shattering some of the golden scale armor on their bodies.

That was mainly because among the Valji family’s cannons, there was a large number of type-one, type-two, even type-three component cannons, coupled with hundreds of ordinary cannons. In a blink, Ivita’s side was totally suppressed.

The Valji family’s flagship even changed its direction, revealing a cannon of an exaggerated diameter, looking just about as wide as a horse. A number ’4’, composed of purple gas, floated above the component cannon.

The Hearthstone Witch screamed when she saw it. "I remembered the highest grade of components under the Codex was 5. The Valji family actually has type-4 components."

"I... "

When the opponent fired the cannonball from that cannon, a deafening explosion was heard, followed by the cannonball striking the left side of their ship. The sea water seemed to explode, creating a deep crater on the sea surface.

The entire Britannia was almost lifted off the water by the blast. Though it ultimately stabilized, many parts of the deck were already damaged.

Wilson and the Hearthstone Witch climbed up from the ground, with the witch spitting out the dust she had accidentally swallowed.

The Hearthstone Witch said, "That cannon just now... I estimate it could have killed a first-level knight and seriously injured a second-level formal knight in one shot."

"The cannonballs that gun uses must be extremely rare. But still, that cannon is just way too powerful."

Having hurt his arm in the fall, Captain Sam was now holding his arm, enduring the pain as he sat on the deck, covered in cold sweat. "I just so happened to hear of the Valji family’s ace weapon, the ’Valji Big Gun,’ in the last sea voyage three years ago."

"It’s said that the cannon contains many mysterious powers. Each of them augments the cannon’s power, and it’s filled with a special exploding material called Thunder Accumulation Rock."

"In the face of a violent collision, it would cause a massive explosion and, under the influence of mysterious power, not even professionals can survive its blast."

Ivita evaluated the positions of the Valji fleet. "All ships, head for the Valji fleet. I’m going to take them head-on. All ships, head towards the main flagship of the Valji fleet."

On the other hand, people on the Valji family’s side were taken aback.

The pirates watching the battle didn’t expect Ivita, with her numerical disadvantage in terms of both people and ships, to take them head-on. But wouldn’t this mean they would end up getting completely encircled by the Valji family?

Standing on the deck, McLoughlin Valji put down his telescope. "Is that so?"

"They’re directly heading towards us, towards the ship I’m on. They’re trying to attack me directly, using the beheading tactic, aren’t they?"

"Indeed, it’s their sole chance of turning the tide. But I won’t give them the opportunity. Order this flagship to retreat from the battlefield immediately and move away from our other ships!"

Kertan Valji sneered, "Just as I thought. You saw through their only hope in an instant. These landlubbers are done for."
