Chapter 468: Chapter 281: The Power of True God and Blind Foolish Faith_3

It seemed that the more Ivita sacrificed of her sea-dwelling worshippers, the greater the imbalance of power would become within her. She was uncertain as to what form she might take when this happens.

Meanwhile, Ivita turned inwards to her spiritual world and found changes in the Spiral Tower.

The original black Spiral Tower extended infinitely at both ends. One end reached into the depths of the spiritual world, the other extending beyond the physical world. On it lingered the illusory images of six Emperor Stars, circling in a constant starry dance around the tower.

Now, roughly four hundred faint light spots swirled around the Spiral Tower. Each of these dim specks supplied her with a minuscule amount of power, which then merged into her magic power, amplifying her strength.

The power supplied by these light spots was so minute that Ivita decided to accumulate them for later use. It would be wasteful to deplete them at will.

As her will lingered, a hexagonal pool of pitch-black ink appeared at the Spiral Tower, embellished with the interconnected figures of the Feathered Serpent Dragon ensnaring its side. The weak power radiated by the faint light spots all flew into the small pond and was collected forcefully.

Simultaneously, Ivita noticed a golden mist in the small pool, purifying the assorted spiritual power transmitted from the outside world.

Ivita named this pool the Feathered Serpent Pool.

Bringing her attention back to the physical world, she explained the developments within her spiritual world to the Hearthstone Witch.

The Hearthstone Witch, who had just examined the condition of the Naga priests, looked startled at Ivita’s revelations. She exclaimed incredulously, "Your Majesty, you’ve actually bestowed them with pure divine power!

"That’s wasteful! They have been offering you nothing more than the power of blind stupidity!"

"Above all, you can generate actual divine power!"

The Nagas standing by were shocked upon hearing the Hearthstone Witch’s words.

The Naga priests felt an absurd urge to panic.

"Could it be that the mighty Ivita has returned us with the power of the origin of gods?"

"What...what kind of existence are we really worshipping?"

Aboard the Britannia, Ivita asked the Hearthstone Witch in perplexity, "Does divine power vary in nature?"

The source of power gifted to the Nagas was the Feathered Serpent God, not herself.

Thus, Ivita was utterly confused.

What exactly did the Feathered Serpent God give them?

The deeper the Hearthstone Witch regarded Ivita with astonishment, the more she wondered, why could a subspace Demon God autonomously produce genuine divine power?

She had always underestimated Ivita!

The Hearthstone Witch explained to Ivita, "The Naga people only offer you blind, brutal faith power. It’s not surprising that you could use this power effectively, as absorbing too much of it could prove detrimental."

"If Gods absorb this power for long periods, it merely results in evil god power."

"While True God Power, not afflicted by the harmful veneration of the mortal races, is a divine power that the world grants in return for their godly duties. It’s the real divine power, dramatically superior in both quality and intensity to the evil god power. Thus\, despite both being gods, the true gods and the evil gods are fundamentally different."

"They are indeed two different entities."

"The power that you bestowed on the Snake Men earlier was True God Power. The Spiral Tower, which represents your wizard’s power, reacted automatically to the discordant faith power offered by the Snake Men and created a purification area."

"In fact, the small pool on your Spiral Tower, which purifies faith, is something evil gods can only dream of. It’s something they’d go mad over but would never attain during their lifetime. However, whenever you need it, it will automatically appear on your Spiral Tower."

Understanding dawned on Ivita—she could utilize faith power now to enhance her power.

However, due to the necessity of maintaining a balance of power within her body, she could not randomly accept followers. Moreover, opportunities like this were extremely rare. The Nagas were ripe for the picking simply because both parties had a mutual need. Such chance encounters were scarce.

As for the True God Power, it had nothing to do with her. It wasn’t her own power anyway. She had no idea how she was able to grant True God Power to the Nagas in the first place.

She guessed that it came from the Feathered Serpent God from another universe.

Nodding, Ivita turned to Captain Sam, "Rest a bit longer, then set sail for the Transit Sea!"

Sam bowed to Ivita, "As you wish, boss."

He turned around, shouting to the people on the deck, "Everyone on your feet!"

"Quickly check the ship’s condition!"
