Chapter 323: Chapter 208 Implementation of Law_1
The Hearthstone Witch opened the iron window, this fellow refused to walk out from inside, she looked at the approaching thunderclouds in the distance and fell into a state of horror. "This is absolutely not a power that a person could possess."
"Then what exactly is it?"
Luckily, they brought Ivita and the spy Milani along.
As the leader of the new generation in the Graveyard, Milani knows nearly all the secrets of the Graveyard.
Frantically, Milani said: "It indeed isn’t a power that a person can have, it’s the ultimate Thunder Magic - Lightning Storm, created using a spell during an eclipse to capture all the thunder and lightning in Ambros’s sky, a process they repeated for hundreds of years. They also used dozens of generations of excellent witches for reforming, to create it."
"The Thunder Magic power contained in the Lightning Storm is inconceivable. We can almost never confront it directly."
"Because by confronting it, it is equivalent to confronting the all Thunder Wizards of the Graveyard for thousands of years and the weather of Ambros over the past millennia."
"It can be said; the Lightning Storm is a power comparable to the Destructive Celestial Sphere."
Milani said: "It’s the Four Seasons Flower! To operate the Lightning Storm, they need an immense amount of magic power, and only the self-nature body in the Graveyard has this ability."
Pan God added: "The more serious issue is, even higher-level witches could only perish under the Lightning Storm."
"In other words, the Lightning Storm is the second strongest trump card of the Graveyard."
"Moreover, the Lightning Storm is Thunder Magic..."
Of course, Ivita knew what was implied by Pan God.
Metal cannot resist Thunder Magic.
In other words, the iron carriage they were riding in could resist the Destructive Celestial Sphere, but it most definitely could not resist the Lightning Storm.
Soon Ivita felt as if the space overhead turned pitch black.
A dark cloud appeared right above them, followed by the terrifying sizzling sound, like the whistle blown by the Death God before execution. Then a bolt of thick yellow thunder lightning fell towards Ivita.
The Cloak of Destruction autonomously defended Ivita, but it did so with a relentless, do-or-die determination.
Because the bolt of lightning was too powerful.
Then, the lightning hit the Cloak of Destruction. Through the mysterious connection between him and his cloak, Ivita felt the cloak’s agony.
Although the Destroy Magic on the Cloak would eradicate the approaching lightning, the intensity of the lightning was too high, the Cloak could not hold.
As he saw the Cloak about to fall apart, Ivita felt its pain and was filled with anger.
He opened his left eye, and a fire bird adorned with a flame crown appeared directly in his sight. As soon as the fire appeared, it looked as if it could ignite the lightning in front of the eyes.
The Fire of the Law could burn Mana!
The Fire Bird blocked the Cloak, bearing almost all of the lightning.
Then, the Lightning Storm dropped three more bolts of lightning from the sky. The fire bird flew in the sky, darting between the lightning bolts, suppressing the storm of the Lightning Storm.
But Ivita knew this could not last.
Many parts of the Cloak of Destruction were already damaged. After returning, they would need to ask a tailor to repair it, and Ivita would need to fix the parts of the magic spell the Lightning Storm had damaged on the Cloak.
The aggrieved Cloak crawled from the ground back to Ivita’s feet, then tried to climb up to Ivita’s back and languished on it.
Ivita yelled at Pan God, "Pan, you have to make a move now!"
Pan God saw that everyone was looking at him, and without thinking he spread out both his hands, "If my current power was enough to confront the Lightning Storm head-on, I wouldn’t have needed you as my allies. Besides, using the power of the Ancient Soul directly can attract trouble."
Ivita felt the trouble brewing as the lightnings in the sky were getting more frequent. Even though his Fire Bird had the ability to rebirth, his fire magic power was limited.
If things continued this way, they would soon be exposed to the thunderstorm.
At that moment, the air was filled with Hugo’s schadenfreude laughter.
The Hearthstone Witch jumped up, glaring at Pan God. "You wouldn’t dare leave us in the lurch, would you?"
"As long as I keep an eye on you, don’t even think about leaving this carriage."
Pan God calmly replied, "Staying inside this carriage only amplifies the power of the thunderstorm. I think it’s unwise."
The Hearthstone Witch stood up, smirking at him. "Then you better think of a solution."
Pan God sighed, looking at Milani seated opposite him, "The only way out of this predicament is the wand in your hand, which can boost a wizard’s magic power for a hundred years."
Milani pulled out an old-fashioned small stick from her bosom. She laughed bitterly, "Although it increases magic power for a hundred years and can bring more mana than normal people, it won’t bring qualitative improvement."
"In front of the thunder magic outside, our personal growth is so insignificant. Is there still hope for us?"
The Hearthstone Witch looked skeptically at Pan God. Suddenly, as if she had thought of something, she began to shake with excitement.
The Hearthstone Witch said sarcastically to Milani, "The increase in magic power for a hundred years is indeed most useless for people like you. For me, it’s relatively less useful because I have lived too long, and it only lessens the time I spend learning magic by less than half. Pan God’s power is mostly suppressed by the Thousand-Year Fire."
"The wand is meaningless to him."
But... The old witch burst into laughter. "Your Highness has only been in contact with magic for less than half a year."
"Think about it, the Black Rose Fairy’s wand can give its master magic power he would have hundred years in the future."
"What do you think would happen if we give it to His Highness?"
The Hearthstone Witch opened the iron window, and looked at the lightning clouds that were about to engulf the Fire Bird. She said, "Let’s see who is stronger. Is it the cumulative collective mediocrity of Ambros’s for thousand years, or His Highness’s individual growth for a hundred years!"
Pan God nodded, "Milani, can I borrow your wand on behalf of Ivita?"
Milani answered, "Of course, that’s not a problem."
She handed the wand to Pan God, who then opened the iron window and threw it to Ivita, who was on top of the iron carriage.
He said, "You must have heard what we just said, now it’s all up to you, Ivita!"
Almost instinctively, Ivita caught the wand from the Black Rose Fairy. Then, for a moment, he bent down, his eyes filled with an illusion.
It was as if he saw a large star falling to the ground, coming straight towards him. The star morphed into a woman in a silver dress, holding his hand, whispering something to him.
He couldn’t make out a word she said.
But Ivita felt that she had something important to tell him.
An unprecedented magic power surged from the wand, leaving Ivita incredulous. Was this mighty magic power really his?
Under the lightning, his shadow transformed into Titan of Thunder.
The balance... was broken!
Ivita sensed it, he raised the wand towards the sky and declared, "I hereby set down the law, dissipate the clouds."
Then, the wand, unable to bear its own magic power, snapped into two with a cracking sound.
