Chapter 316: Chapter 204: Hair Magic and the Helpless Dark Group_1
At the exit of the territory, a large iron carriage was parked. The size of the carriage was nearly half that of a regular bus on Earth. It had eight iron wheels in total and a great deal of interior space, suitable for storing strategic materials and performing magic rituals.
The iron carriage was essentially a massive cabin, hence, it featured four doors and windows that could be opened, each secured inside with a hinge and a latch.
The reason one would find traces of reddish blood veins on the carriage if they looked carefully was that it had been imbued with Blood Magic, collected from the deaths of thousands of people by the Old Witch.
Surrounding the iron carriage, Ivita and others conducted a spell, reinforcing the carriage’s strength even further.
However, nobody wanted to ride the carriage to the cemetery, not for any specific reason, they just found the carriage to be exceedingly ugly.
Under their gaze, Pan God pressed his hand to the back of the carriage and quietly chanted a spell. He then took out the heart of a cheetah with his left hand and threw it into the carriage. The carriage immediately shuddered, its wheels rolling forward and then automatically shifting back.
Hearthstone Witch explained quietly to Ivita, "Your Majesty, this is a unique Druid spell that bestows life on the lifeless through the heart of another creature. However, it only lasts as long as the heart continues to beat, usually just a few days."
Pan God whispered to the iron carriage, "To the edge of Kappa Town."
He turned toward Ivita and said, "Ivita, please contact the Tide Fishman with your magic and alter its current mission. Have it stop hunting cemetery witches and start protecting our iron carriage."
Ivita nodded and closed her eyes, utilizing Dragon Palace Magic to contact the Tide Fishman and instruct it to protect the iron carriage.
Next, the Ice Witch summoned her reindeer sleigh again and invited everyone to board.
The sleigh was fast and stable in flight, other than the biting cold. Ivita, for the first time in the sleigh, looking down at the forest and villages below that were reduced to tiny spots, felt that from a high vantage point, you see far.
She then looked up at the deep hues of the setting sun, as a flock of crows flew past them, soaring alongside.
Ivita wondered how high the Ice Witch’s sleigh could fly, and what lay above the sky of this world.
Was there an atmosphere?
Or would they end up in a space different from Earth’s, if they kept flying upward, instead of entering the Universe?
Ivita thought that perhaps, the heavens in this world may just be paradise.
When it was approximately midnight, the Ice Witch’s sleigh arrived near the cemetery. She indicated that she had camouflaged the sleigh.
This way, no one would be able to discover them.
Presumably, the Ice Witch always cloaked her sleigh whenever she traveled.
Otherwise, traveling in a sleigh flying in the air would be too peculiar.
Looking down from the sleigh, they saw a large number of soldiers appearing in the vicinity of the cemetery, almost inspecting every corner of the forest outside Kappa Town.
Meanwhile, they also observed these soldiers transporting batches of glass mirrors toward Kappa Town from their vantage on the sleigh.
Hearthstone Witch said, "The soldiers should be looking for magical traps hidden in the forest, and hiding places set up by the witches."
"Haha... What grand efforts, using an army to search every corner of the forest. And they’ve discovered the weakness of the Destructive Celestial Sphere too."
Ivita noticed that whenever a soldier found a hidden spell in a tree stump, they would call their comrades over, using their swords to destroy the tree. While some were hurt from the backlash of the magic, more soldiers managed to destroy the magic hidden in the roots of the tree due to their number advantage.
All of the magic traps set by the Witches of the Cemetery outside Kappa Town were being eliminated one by one.
A soldier yelled out, "I’ve discovered a tree hollow that can transport people."
He threw a stone into the hollow of the old tree and the stone disappeared, undoubtedly indicating something amiss with this tree.
The soldier then called over several others, and they chopped down the tree together.
Just like that, they successfully disrupted an escape route set up by the Witches in the Cemetery.
Next, this unfamiliar army, formed a dense phalanx, lifted pieces of glass over their heads, and began approaching Kappa Town.
The boundary between Kappa Town and the forest was marked by several stone mushrooms, strategically arranged in a circle around the town.
The stone mushroom seems to encompass a protective barrier itself.
Capable of preventing ordinary people from trespassing.
At any rate, the army approaching Kappa Town was stopped on the outside.
However, a witch hidden among the soldiers casually threw a Fire Magic spell into the invisible barrier, puncturing a hole. The stone mushrooms clustered around the hole began to shatter.
The army, around two hundred strong, then boldly marched into Kappa Town.
On the sleigh, Ice Witch asked, "Should we help them?"
Pan God replied with a laugh, "There’s no need. There are plenty more people hiding nearby."
