Chapter 191: Chapter 137 Washbasin Magic_2

"Even if I can’t use it now, it can still serve as my reserve."

Ivita became interested. "What magic have you found?"

The old witch lifted her hand and a quill fell into her grasp. She picked a piece of paper from her desk and drew a washbasin.

"This magic is called the ’Washbasin Water Palace.’

"You can apply magic to a washbasin, which will keep the water inside it from ever drying up or becoming stale. Even in the middle of summer, when left on your desk as time goes by, the water in the washbasin won’t turn stale."

"Then, you need to put an ordinary fish into the washbasin and let it transform into your fish soldier."

The old witch said: "When you have learned this magic, you can add more fish."

"Generate more fish soldiers."

"Up to ten at the most!"

"These fish soldiers can become your guards, thus satisfying your previous inquiry on how to strengthen vigilance while you sleep."

Ivita’s eyes brightened; it sounded pretty good.

Although he was unsure about the combat power of these fish soldiers, he would find out eventually.

Ivita said: "At the same time, I can also absorb the Water Dragon’s Tooth while learning this magic."

The old witch nodded. "With the Water Dragon’s Tooth, your water magic will surely be strengthened."

"Each source of magic power under the crown is so strong."

The old witch was almost speechless. Ivita’s current power was already equivalent to that of a formal wizard, and even stronger in certain aspects.

However, Ivita’s power was still growing, and he was still only a wizard’s apprentice.

Was he trying to be the most powerful wizard’s apprentice in history?

The old witch said: "But you still need some materials to facilitate your learning. I’ll write you a list."

"Have your soldiers and civilians look for these materials for you."

Ivita nodded, signaling her to write it down.

This was the benefit of the lord learning magic.

He could mobilize many people.

In fact, each person’s labor was very expensive. If it were not because he was a lord, a regular wizard would have to spend quite a sum of money to hire someone.

The old witch soon finished writing the list.

Ivita took a look: "The blood of nine sheep, thirty chickens, and one calf."

"Three hundred stems of purple sheep grass, five hundred stems of jade belt grass, ten stems of ice grass, and twenty pints of morning dew."

Ivita frowned. "Chickens are fine, they’re not valuable. But sheep and cattle are luxuries, especially cattle. They are farming tools."

The old witch abruptly said: "Didn’t we bring a cow when we were running away before?"

"But that was an adult cow. What we need now is a calf’s blood."

Ivita felt a bit drained, "nine sheep amount to 3 gold pounds, a calf may require 1 gold pound, or half a gold pound."

"The few types of grasses are manageable. Just have the civilians help me find them. But the task of collecting twenty pints of dew is enormous."

Ivita sighed, "I have no choice."

He quickly wrote two documents. One was for the civilians to collect dew and specific grasses, and the other was for the housekeeper to purchase cows, sheep, and chickens with five gold pounds, and to keep the costs within that limit if possible.

Out of the remaining 40 gold pounds from the territory, 5 were used, leaving 35 gold pounds.

Ivita paused to think, then wrote another document, instructing the housekeeper to take another 30 gold pounds to buy medium-quality timber in the market. The logs were to be given freely to the civilians of the baron’s territory to help them rebuild their homes.

Such an amount of logs was definitely not enough.

But it’s the thought that counts. Giving a few logs to each household could encourage these farmers to quickly go to the mountains to cut down trees and rebuild their homes.

Ivita was trying to motive them with this move.

It’s also a lord’s duty. This was money that couldn’t be saved.

But with this, he was indeed out of funds.

Ivita felt a sense of emptiness. If he just wanted to maintain the status quo, then he wouldn’t need to spend money. But if he wanted to change and strengthen himself, he would need to spend lavishly.

He had just earned a sum of money that an average person could never make in their lifetime, and he had spent it all.

Ivita even wished he had bought the mirror later and first invested the hundred gold pounds into his domain.

However, the effect of Spirit Mirror Divination was powerful. With this magic, he had surveillance over his entire domain.

In the mirror, Ivita saw the Black Wolf locked in a fierce battle with the Demon Hunter who still could not wake up.

He could only sigh helplessly. "It seems that the Demon Hunter has been confined for too long, he’s gone mad."

"Old Witch, fetch the Knight Griffin, and six knight attendants from within my domain," he instructed.

"We’re going in there together to kill that Demon Hunter."

As a lord, Ivita had no patience for a one-on-one fight.

Why should he confront the enemy alone if he can defeat them together?

Back in Parviga, he had had his share of hardship fighting alone. Now, on his own turf, he could finally enjoy the feeling of being a Wizard Lord.

Upon hearing of the killing, the Old Witch grew excited, as if it were her favourite pastime.

"Alright, my liege, wait for a moment. I will be back shortly."

Ivita observed the battle between the Black Wolf and the Demon Hunter in the mirror, mastering their combat techniques.

Upon becoming a wizard, all his attributes began to rapidly improve, whether it was physical strength, intelligence, or dynamic visual capturing ability.

Others might need instruction, but Ivita could remember complex combat movements merely by watching them.

While waiting, Ivita attentively observed the battle between the two Demon Hunters.

As the Black Wolf was gradually falling behind, Ivita wanted to open a one-way door to let him escape, but the Black Wolf refused.

The Black Wolf fears that the deranged third-level Demon Hunter may leave the mirror space with him.

Soon, the fully-armed Knight Griffin and six knight attendants, clad in chain mail and armed with Knight Swords entered the study.

At least the knights under Baron Moro were well-equipped.

Principally, Ivita’s two vassal knights were maintaining the reconstruction of the six distant villages in his domain. Therefore, these were the only knights that Ivita could command at present.

The young knights, eager to demonstrate their skills, could not suppress their excitement upon seeing the battle in the mirror.

They paid respects to Ivita, bowing, "Lord."

Ivita handed three documents to the steward, instructing him to find individuals to execute his orders. He then nodded at the youngsters and turned to question Knight Griffin. "What do you think about letting them fight with a third-level deranged Demon Hunter to gain some experience?"

Knight Griffin hesitated for a moment, then replied, "Although that Demon Hunter has gone mad."

"And we’re watching from behind, I think some of them are still not powerful enough."

"It seems too early for them."

The youngsters, eager to prove themselves, quickly stepped forward, bypassing Griffin Knight, and said to Ivita, "Lord, we believe we are ready."

"Yes, let us test ourselves."

Ivita nodded, stood up, raised his left hand, and suddenly a vortex appeared in the Candy Mirror.

"Admirable courage. With myself and the Hearthstone Witch here, you can give it a try."

The vortex quickly expanded, engulfing the entire study and swallowing everyone in.

In the next moment, everyone appeared inside the mirror’s space.

The knight attendants surveyed their surroundings, all filled with the desire for challenge.

The unfamiliar Demon Hunter, who was fighting Black Wolf, turned and saw everyone who had entered the mirror space. He instantly went crazy and yelled, "Don’t come here! Don’t come here!"

"Fight me one-on-one if you dare!"

"Minions of the Red Queen, you guys are despicable."

Ivita snapped his fingers, ordering the knights to attack the Demon Hunter. "Is this what it feels like to play the villain?"

Knight Griffin, leading the six knight attendants, instantly encircled him. Their combined attack was already showing its effect, leaving the Old Demon Hunter no room to fight back.

The swords of seven knights pierced his body. When the old demon hunter tried to retaliate, intending to attack the knight attendants with his great Demon Hunter sword, he was stopped by Knight Griffin.

The other knight attendants’ swords slashed at the old Demon Hunter’s body.

The Old Demon Hunter was like an old lion surrounded by a pack of wolves, unable to use his strength. "Damn it, There are so many of you!"
