Chapter 169: Chapter 125 Lightning Curse Increases Power Again (5101)_3

"Because he is not a wicked man, that I grant him my blessing."

"He carries my blessing."

"You cannot kill him."

"When Lord Prole was ten years old, I gave him a blessing - assurance of a peaceful life until a ripe old age."

Asserted the Rose Fairy, her head raised high.

Ivita was confused. The Old Witch loudly exclaimed from the audience, "This gormless fairy speaks the truth!"

"Even if we kill this fairy, as long as her blessing remains with Prole, it is all for naught."

"A fairy’s blessing on a human intensifies with her death."

"A ’blessing’ is a special magic that only fairies mastering advanced White Magic can bestow on a human child before they reach ten. Moreover, a fairy can only use this power but a few times during her lifetime."

The color drained from Ivita’s face. The Mayor’s countenance seemed to sag miserably, as if he were being publicly humiliated.

To hell with the fairy, to hell with the blessings; the dignity of Parviga is what truly matters.

Lady Alice too looked grim.

Lord Prole felt a surge of triumph. He thought that now, nobody could sentence him to death.

Ivita furrowed her brows and attempted to reason with the Rose Fairy. "The man you’re protecting has tried to disrupt the city’s order, leading to the deaths of at least a thousand people and causing unnecessary economic losses for many, leaving their children and wives to suffer hunger and cold."

"Do you still think that the person hiding behind you is kind-hearted?"

"If you gave him your blessing, you should be able to take it back."

The Rose Fairy looked troubled. "A Blessing can be taken back, but..."

Lord Prole, hearing that the blessing could actually be withdrawn, felt his heart skip a beat. He hadn’t anticipated this.

Feeling as though he’d been deceived, the once invincible Lord suddenly feared that the innocent fairy would be swayed by Ivita’s words. He quickly chimed in, "Mother, don’t listen to them anymore, they are too complex."

"Quickly, find a place to hide."

"But I have been struck by the Revealing Powder," the Rose Fairy said anxiously and helplessly to Prole. "Little Prole, I’m out of options."

The Rose Fairy seemed to have an idea, and turned to Ivita to say, "Wait. To prove that Prole is the kindest person in the world, I will tell you a story about him. Once you hear his story, you may think of him as a kind-hearted person."

"When he was five years old, I was being chased by a ferocious hawk. It bit my wing. I escaped from the hawk but had to take refuge on the ground, turning into a rose bush to rest."

"The place I chose wasn’t great, being located in a small corner on a hillside. There was hardly any soil, and it was exposed to the harsh wind and rain."

"During this tumultuous time, young Prole appeared. He took care of the Rose bush in the wilderness, building it a tent to shield it from the weather. The process persisted for five years."

"Can you consider a child who takes care of a rose bush for five years in all weather conditions to be wicked?"

"If you acknowledge that he is not wicked, then I won’t retract the blessing placed upon him."

Ivita frowned and shook her head, saying to the fairy, "I still believe he is evil."

"Because Prole is not a child anymore."

"Human nature is incredibly complex. Even the vilest of people can display gentleness towards their families, show respect for their parents, love for their children, and loyalty towards their friends. Now, Fairy, look behind you."

"Fairy, you see that? That old soldier there lost his right arm due to Prole’s betrayal. Now, he can only awkwardly hold his five-year-old child with his left arm."

The Rose Fairy saw a middle-aged man looking at her fearfully, as if she were the accomplice of a demon. When she looked over, he even took his child and left the spectator seats.

Ivita said to the Rose Fairy, "Many people are here to see their enemy, the perpetrator who destroyed the city, receive due punishment."

"Perhaps in your eyes, you are only protecting a child who once was kind-hearted. But in their eyes, you are nothing but an accomplice of a demon."

"Fairy, you are injuring thousands of children in your attempt to protect a single child."

Lord Prole’s heart pounded in his chest. "Mother, I..."

The Rose Fairy turned back, looking skeptically at Lord Prole. "How... have you become like this?"

Ivita spoke urgently, "Fairy, please take back your blessing and let the victims receive the justice they deserve."

The Rose Fairy circled Lord Prole slowly, creating a silken garment out of nowhere and draped it over him. Lord Prole, initially worried, relaxed upon seeing this.

"Mother, you are so good to me," Lord Prole said.

The Rose Fairy took a step back and shook her head, "No, Prole, after carefully considering, I agree with those words. You’ve only been kind to those around you."

"It’s my mistake that I couldn’t see your flaws."

"I’ve been deceived by you. I couldn’t let the fairy’s blessing be given in such a misguided way."

"So, I’ve decided to retract your blessing."

"Prole, I formally decide to withdraw the blessing from you."

As she spoke these words, the sky, even though it was daytime, suddenly turned dark. The starry night sky was exceptionally bright.

Above Lord Prole’s head, the stars in the night sky formed a constellation that resembled a ladle.

At this moment, Ivita’s heart skipped a beat. He looked up, seemingly sensing something.

Destiny Magic...

The constellations’ correspondence...

Could this special feeling be the match of Destiny Magic and the constellations?

The Old Witch in the audience cried out in surprise. "This is... the Queen of Stars... Damned fool fairy, who told you to directly withdraw the blessing like this? Do you want to incur the wrath of the Queen of Stars?!"
