The witch thought I am a Demon God
Chapter 143 - 113: The Woman [Anna] Imprisoned in the Clock Kingdom by the Grand Viscount _1

Chapter 143: Chapter 113: The Woman [Anna] Imprisoned in the Clock Kingdom by the Grand Viscount _1

The combined efforts of the Dwarf Corps and Ivita loosened the Water Dragon’s Tooth lodged under the city wall. Ivita’s Throwing Magic forcibly plucked the tooth out.

The Water Dragon’s Tooth that emitted a faint water-like glow fell to the ground.

At this point, Melissa and the Princess had left due to the disappearance of the Thousand-Year Fire.

The Hearthstone Grand Witch approached and examined the Water Dragon’s Tooth. "What a powerful tooth. The tooth is the source of the Water Dragon’s power. This tooth contains a vast amount of the Water Dragon’s power. However, you should wait until you’ve fully absorbed the Fire Magic in your left eye before you absorb it."

"Let me store it in my Portable Carriage Magic for you."

Ivita nodded. Now he kept his left eye closed all the time.

He had become a cyclops.

If he were to forcefully absorb the Water Dragon’s Tooth, it was unknown how much of a burden it would cause his body.

Having achieved their goal, Ivita and the Old Witch were about to leave the Clock Kingdom and return to the real world.

There was still a political coup occurring at City Hall in Parviga.

If they returned too late, not only would they miss out, but the outcome might also be sealed.

The iron casting business in his territory still required cooperation from the Blacksmith’s Guild in Parviga.

However, before leaving, Ivita didn’t know what to do with the Clock Crown in his hand. The miniature crown meant little to him, but if he took it away, the Clock Kingdom would have no king.

There would be chaos here.

For this reason, Ivita fell into thought, deeply considering how to deal with the Clock Crown.

The Old Witch extended her hand, and with a wave in mid-air, magical power punctured the Miniaturization Magic, drawing a door in the air.

Under this stimulus, the ancient text appeared on the surface of the 3333rd gear and the chains underneath the spring box.

Ivita and the Old Witch nodded to each other. As expected, the chain that had previously sealed the Fire Demon and the 3333rd gear were where the actual body of the Miniaturization Magic resided.

No wonder, despite numerous battles here, this tiny gear sustained no damage and could withstand so many powerful spiritual conflicts.

That’s because a potent magic was sustaining this gear.

A dwarf clad in full armor approached. He looked at Ivita with admiration and said, "Your Majesty, I’m Marquis Jiji, are you leaving?"

The dwarves were smart. Seeing the actions of the Old Witch, they realized that Ivita and others were about to leave.

Ivita handed back the Clock Crown, but the dwarf backed away in fear.

With no other choice, Ivita placed the crown on the ground before him. "Marquis Jiji, I don’t belong to this kingdom and have no intentions to stay here and rule. You need to find a new king for your kingdom."

"Let him rule you."

Marquis Jiji opened his mouth, but knew his status was too low to persuade Ivita otherwise.

"The crown will always belong to Your Majesty."

"It won’t matter if Your Majesty leaves, as we will place the crown on the throne and pay our respects daily. You will still be the king of the Clock Kingdom, and we will elect a regent to rule us."

In his helplessness, Marquis Jiji came up with a compromise.

Seeing the kneeling dwarf and the Dwarf Corps around him filled with fervor, Ivita sighed internally.

He had resolved the kingdom’s greatest enemy and ended the eternal war, gaining unmatched prestige.

No matter how much he rejected it, he could not take off this crown.

It was a pity that this was only a kingdom inside a clock. If it was in the real world, things would be different.

Taking over this internal kingdom of the clock did more harm than good, as the one bearing the crown must manage the kingdom. But he didn’t have the patience to manage a kingdom of dwarves.

Ivita could only sigh. "Alright then. Whoever you choose as the Regent, I will recognize him now."

"So you don’t need to seek my approval later."

"I hope you can choose the right person, and if that person is inappropriate, you have my permission to replace him."

To prevent the elected Regent from doing whatever he wanted with Ivita’s approval, he added cautiously.

When it came to absolute power, one couldn’t be too careful with their words.

The king’s words were law, but people always found ways to exploit the law for their purposes.

Marquis Jiji beamed happily. No matter what, it was good enough that the owner of the Legendary Sword agreed to be the king of the Clock Kingdom.

"Your Majesty, before you leave, you should at least visit the royal box above us."

"Every king visits there after their coronation. We subjects aren’t allowed near the royal box. It’s said to contain all the treasures of the Clock Kingdom, even the secret to operating a terrible weapon."

A terrible weapon?

The Old Witch promptly stopped her magic, swiftly erasing the airborne spell.

What terrible weapon?

How could she miss such a good opportunity?

The Old Witch, like a cat sniffing the scent of blood in the air, glinted with anticipation. She fixed her eyes on Marquis Jiji, and said, "What terrifying weapons, did the Clock Kingdom develop them on your own? That would hold little interest for me. As far as I can see, you people cannot create anything remarkable."

The Hearthstone Witch turned her head towards Ivita, "Your Majesty, a new magic is rapidly gestating in your left eye."

"How about we wait a little while longer, at least until your left eye’s magic has fully germinated? I perceive it won’t take long."

Ivita pondered for a moment and thought it would make for the last stop in their expedition to the Dwarf Kingdom, particularly the location of the mechanical clock’s spring box located atop their heads.

Marquis Jiji didn’t take offense at the Old Witch’s impolite words. He subconsciously assumed that the Old Witch was a servant of the King.

A bit of arrogance from the King’s servants wasn’t out of place. After all, the previous king was keen to kill anyone at the slightest provocation.

"Esteemed lady, a servant of his Majesty the King, the dreaded weapon inside the King’s Box was left behind by the witch who created the Clock Kingdom. It is not our own invention. How could we possibly have such skill?"

"The witch who created the Clock Kingdom never left, not even the King’s Box."

"Yes, I’ve always thought of her as rather reclusive. She should stroll around a bit. The Clock Kingdom is vast. It’s a big world out there. She should step out of that tiny box and make her presence known." Another middle-aged dwarf in full armor approached, saying, "Great Majesty, esteemed lady, I am Marquis Kaka."

He knelt on one knee before Ivita. "Your Majesty, it is an honor to speak with you."

Ivita nodded at him, signaling him to rise.

The naming convention of the Clock Kingdom’s dwarves had evolved over hundreds of years and had become quite different from that of the Ambros people. For whatever reason, they liked giving themselves names with repetitive syllables.

Marquis Tata was another example.

Although, she had always thought that the witch created the Clock Kingdom and then gifted the Clock Kingdom to Parviga.

But it appears that she always remained within the Clock Kingdom.

Why didn’t she go out?

Marquis Kaka, Marquis Jiji, and another dwarf named Marquis Dada volunteered to guide Ivita and the Old Witch.

The dwarves climbed up to the spring box via a series of gears on the outside.

For the dwarves of the Clock Kingdom, these gears were like rotating floating islands.

The gears themselves were rotating too.

After crossing three gears, Ivita and the Old Witch arrived at the gear exposed on the outside of the spring box.

The dwarven Marquises couldn’t proceed any further.

It was forbidden territory in the Clock Kingdom.

Marquis Jiji spoke earnestly to Ivita and the Old Witch, saying, "There is nowhere we cannot traverse within the vast Clock Kingdom, except for that place."

"I’m sorry, your Majesty, we can’t escort you any further."

"Hmm." Looking down, Ivita saw tens of thousands of dwarven troops bowing towards the crown on the ground, a grand spectacle indeed.

For the first time, he felt the weight of a crown, strangely though, within a minuscule clock.

The Hearthstone Grand Witch said in a low voice, "They have adapted to life here, your Majesty. If they were to grow large and return to the real world, they wouldn’t survive."

"Regardless, if they don’t grow large, they won’t be of any use to you. What can they do then?"

After some thought, Ivita said, "Although we can make the dwarves do some fine work, due to the proportionality of the Miniaturization Magic, we can’t transport materials from outside, which would also shrink. Let them live in peace here, they have been at war for centuries."

"It’s time they rested."

"Let’s venture into the spring box and stay alert, the witch may still be inside."

The Hearthstone Grand Witch nodded and carefully proceeded into the spring box. The interior of the spring box was not pitch black; instead, it sparkled with a mild moonlight-like glow.

The interior of the spring box held not just giant springs and screws but also glow-emitting stones embedded within.

Ivita recognised the stones instantly; it was the Moonstone that he had encountered during their battle with the Small Brotherhood of Trustworthiness in the streets of Parviga.

Unexpectedly, under the veil of darkness, the Moonstone produced its own light.

The glow was quite fetching, very gentle, much like genuine moonlight, filled with serene beauty.

After moving forward a few more steps, the Old Witch gasped, "Your Majesty, look, is that..."

"A Magic Plant laboratory?"

Ivita looked to see the giant spring festooned with numerous silk-bound notebooks, and in the middle of the grand spring, a withered, dark tree.

The Old Witch walked over and started examining the withered plant.

She seemed to have an affinity for magic plants, and she was quite fond of them.

Ivita too walked over, nonchalantly opened a notebook, then a few more. He discovered that all these diaries had been written by a woman, and what was strange was every single diary began with the same introduction.

The fact that every one of the hundred diaries that were hanging there started with the same line was indeed strange.

Ivita read the beginning, "My name is Anna, I’m a pitiful woman imprisoned here by the Ambrose Grand Viscount. This is a barbarous country without laws. I used to be the wife of the Igniter. However, after the Thousand-Year Fire was restored, the Grand Viscount killed the Igniter and made me confine myself here. I want to tell everyone about his crimes!"
