The witch thought I am a Demon God

Chapter 1076: Chapter 549: The Demon God Race and the Invasion of the Gods

Shaw noticed that while he battled the Great Lord of Black Death, the Light Beings flew from the sky toward the earth. The Black Death had drastically reduced the human population and even changed the landscape; if not for the Law safeguarding various regions, they would have already fallen into disrepair. But this also weakened the powers of nations, and the army of Light Beings, beguiled by the magic rings, charged toward the earth.

Even harboring thoughts of replacing humanity on the earth.

Of course, Shaw would not allow this to happen; his wish was to rebuild the Holy Empire, not to change the ruling species of the universe.

Shaw stood in the void, overlooking the earth, and smiled faintly. "Ivita, you still detected my presence. Otherwise, why would the Light Beings deviate from my expectations and begin to turn on me?"

"But I have plotted for thousands of years; you can’t outmaneuver me. In every aspect, I had foreseen it all."

"These Light Beings were nothing more than my tools; how could your use of them have any effect on me?"

Shaw looked at the Light Being that had rushed up to him with disgust.

The Light Beings arrogantly declared, "You there, the universe now belongs to us. We now have infinite power; look at this ring."

Their hands glistened as rings flashed before transforming into various magic power weapons.

"No matter who you are, whether god or human, you must bow to us upon the earth, for the sky belongs to us, the humans of the new era."

"Those who do not submit shall die!"

Shaw turned and swept them with a contemptuous smile. "Merely my tools. You are the ones to replace humanity?"

A chasm-like invisible abyss appeared behind Shaw; the Law of his people combined with the invisible abyss transformed into an endless gate that connected heaven and earth, indestructible.

At the same time, the bodies of the Light Beings, who had been swaggering before Shaw, rapidly withered. Soon after, the bodies of other Light Beings who had spoken, touched, seen, or even just been in the same place also began to swiftly wither and dim.

Shaw, with his hands clasped behind his back, said leisurely, "Do you know how many so-called new species capable of replacing humans I have destroyed? You were never special."

Shaw, the father of Enlightenment, theoretically possessed the power of all the laws of nations, and having been the Emperor of the Holy Empire for many years, he was the ruler of human souls and spirits. He had the authority to mobilize the great abyss of consciousness connected by all human existences. With both combined, Shaw possessed nearly the strongest power in the world.

He spoke as if bearing divine edicts, his words representing the creator’s judgment on all beings in the universe. "I declare the Light Being race... should not exist, cannot be sustained; they are merely malformed creatures born of plague."

The Light Beings, previously so prideful, now plunged into despair.

But at that moment, the magic rings they held burst into power. Although the Light Beings were almost completely obliterated by Shaw’s curse, they were now cursed in return by the magic rings. Their glowing bodies contaminated, they fell from the sky into the soil, merging with the elements of the world.

Those that fell into the earth became giants half-flesh, half-mud; those that fell into flames became half-flame, half-flesh monsters, each with a magic ring embedded in their forehead.

In the midst of Shaw’s curse and the contingency left by Ivita, the entire race transformed bizarrely, tumbling from the sky onto the earth.

Having suffered such a transformation, the Light Beings were filled with hatred toward the creators of the magic rings and the master of the curse; they howled and wrought destruction upon the land, storming into cities to wreak havoc and attempting to hunt down humans.

They screamed in anger.

"From today on, they are the Demon God Race, a lineage born of vengeance, a lineage baptized in original sin."

Shaw’s eyes were brimming with fury. "Ivita, have you calculated my every move so precisely? You’ve read the tale of how the Full Moon Queen and the Dark Queen cursed the traitors into the Blood Race and are now replicating the process, having me curse the light beings into the Demon God Race with your power. That way you removed the crisis of the light beings trying to replace humanity and at the same time continued to cause me trouble."

"Indeed, I still need to reclaim the crown of the Holy Empire. But Ivita, you’ve underestimated me. I’ll be the greatest enemy you’ve ever encountered, an invincible foe. I’ve been laying out my plans thousands of years before you, and as I’ve overcome more and more powerful enemies over the millennia, my power has grown with each passing day. No matter what happens, I’m always prepared for it."

The abyss behind Shaw emerged once again, a convergence of all of humanity’s existences collapsing infinitely—its scale incomparable even to the largest black holes in the world.

The link between Shaw and the Supreme Void was the collective authority of the national laws.

At the same time, Shaw harnessed this power to create a new world on the crystalline membrane of the Black Magic Forest Universe—a supermassive world that, upon its emergence, pressed heavily upon the Black Magic Forest Universe.

With the mandate of heaven upon his lips, Shaw spoke like the creator. "I decree that the newly born race must return to their homeland, just as each species has its habitat. To humanity their own, to the Demon God Race, theirs."

Suddenly, those of the Demon God Race who had spread disaster throughout the land and been twisted by magic rings felt an inexplicable call from the stars.

These Demon God Race beings unfolded their tainted black wings, took to the skies, and blotted out the sun, denying even its light from reaching the world.

Seven bright stars appeared out of nowhere in the clear sky—those were the worlds Shaw had created for the Demon God Race, and for this, he did not hesitate to siphon the very essence of the Black Magic Forest Universe.

This action triggered a natural resistance from the universe, and countless disasters began to occur across the plane of the Black Magic Forest, the universe’s instinctive effort to suppress whoever was draining its energy.

Shaw’s face turned slightly pale. "Although it took the effort needed to maintain a supermassive world, these hindrances have finally left the Black Magic Forest."

"Who is that person?"

Shaw glanced at the Old Witch, who was frantically running through the forest, and furrowed his brow—she seemed to have always been near Ivita.

Had the witch fallen into some sort of madness? Should he deal with her?

"Nevermind, she’s just an inconsequential bug."

"First, to the Imperial Parliament. Force the Electors to depose Ivita and reelect me as The Emperor, reclaiming the imperial authority."

Shaw looked at the clear sky which, following the disappearance of all Demon God Race, once again exhibited anomalies. The sky suddenly filled with a multitude of stars, but that was actually the Divine Kingdom of the gods of Heaven rapidly approaching the main material plane.

Clearly, upon discovering Shaw’s presence, the Star Realm gods could no longer hold back and intended to intervene in the mortal world.

Shaw pointed at the sky, which seemed to freeze like a brittle egg. The approaching Divine Kingdoms also ceased their advance.

"Now, the idea of nationalism is everywhere across the continent."

"My control over the main material plane surpasses even the strongest Divine Power."

"If I want you to come in, you can come in. If I don’t, you have no chance of getting close. Although slaughtering gods is entertaining, caution is the better part of valor; best not to sprout unnecessary branches."
