Chapter 867: Volume 27, Whirlwind Suddenly Rises, Chapter 7, Complete Victory _2

Another assault by Vladimir Koff and Shatima was caught by Trajan, the vigorous rebound of Fighting Qi made both Vladimir Koff and Shatima feel as though the veins throughout their bodies were struck by a tremendous rebounding force, forcing them to grit their teeth and circle back in retreat. The Metal Magic Doll’s sneak attack was easily caught by Trajan with his Knight Spear. When it came to a head-on fight, no one was a match for Trajan, let alone the Metal Magic Doll.

Opportunities don’t come twice!

The moment Newman noticed the Heavenly Knight holding the Knight’s Sword giving a covert glance to the Dwarven Obese Knight with the axe spear, his heart skipped a beat; they were going to use the cross-attack technique again! His chest tightened suddenly, and he released all his magic power at once. The Star Mercury slowly infused into the Magic Scroll, and, powered by the Star Mercury, the Magic Scroll finally unfurled. The Star Space Formation was finally activated.

An elusive six-pointed star pattern shone with a strange light, accurately converging in mid-air and then dispersing. Simultaneously, the two Heavenly Knights met in mid-air with a supremely intricate crossing maneuver enabling them to leverage each other’s strength for an even more ferocious attack. They hadn’t anticipated that this confluence right above Trajan would provide Newman with the perfect opportunity to trigger the Star Space Formation.

Like a double funnel, the six-pointed star pattern of the Star Space Formation plummeted downward, converging into a point and then spreading out again, like a funnel-shaped beam of light enveloping the two Heavenly Knights crisscrossing in mid-air and Trajan below them.

An exceptionally powerful burst of Star Magic radiance illuminated the scene like a sudden explosion of dazzling stars. The silver-white light mist tightly locked onto the three knights aligned vertically, delivering a brutal blow that sent the two Heavenly Knights crashing down, writhing in agony on the ground. Blood seeped from the corners of their mouths, eyes, and nostrils, their faces twisted in pain, horrifyingly grotesque.

Trajan, however, was a cut above the rest; the moment he felt the surrounding energy field changing, he drew in his Fighting Qi defense, staunchly protecting his body. But he too underestimated the power of the Star Magic, the fierce impact on his Fighting Qi shield compressed it by one third. The immense pressure forced Trajan to one knee, raising his Knight Spear to withstand the sudden assault, a pose that suddenly reminded Komer of a famous sculpture— a depiction of an athlete showcasing his robust physique.

The sudden ambush on the three Heavenly Knights threw the Church of Light’s formation into disarray. Even though Michelangelo knew that being distracted at such a time could have severe consequences, he couldn’t help but launch a Mind Impact to try to break free from Komer’s entanglement, so he could save the three knights who were in dire straits as quickly as possible.

Komer’s lips curved into a wily smile. This Mr. Michelangelo was indeed a formidable opponent, yet his act of self-sacrifice would only harm himself. Komer admitted that overcoming Michelangelo with Psychic Magic would be quite challenging, and even in victory, his own Mental Magic would be greatly depleted. Thus, he had been maintaining a standoff, biding his time for the perfect opportunity—and Newman and his team did not disappoint.

Under Michelangelo’s fierce Mind Impact, Komer fell back. It all looked so natural, yet Michelangelo, though slightly puzzled, didn’t think his opponent was the type to give in so easily; his own attack was ferocious, but it shouldn’t have made the enemy seem so feeble unless the enemy truly feared injury. But Michelangelo had no time left to ponder—he had to rescue Trajan and the others immediately, or he would not be able to forgive himself.

Trajan’s eyes and nostrils also began to show traces of blood. The composed and confident demeanor that was once his trademark had vanished without a trace. With his lips tightly bitten due to the immense pressure, his face turned ashen, completely void of his usual elegant poise. His beautiful knight’s attire was now ragged like a fishing net, and the knight spear he clenched tightly in his hand wavered uncertainly like a small boat struggling in a tempest under the vast and boundless power of the Star Magic. Only his sharp eyes still shone with calm and clarity, showing that one of the top three leaders of the Church of Light hadn’t lost his fighting spirit.

The two Heavenly Knights had completely lost consciousness, lying motionless on the ground. The powerful strike from the volley had incapacitated the two who were utterly unprepared for defense, and the continuous pressure from the air had sent them into a comatose state.

Moving effortlessly, Michelangelo dodged Komer’s pursuit and immediately signaled to the other three companions who were still entangled with Giovanni’s group. In the blink of an eye, the four of them formed a mysterious formation; both Komer and Giovanni realized that their adversaries were also about to activate a magic array.

Clearly the result of numerous trainings in tacit understanding, Michelangelo and his three companions were hardly hindered by Giovanni’s group’s dark attacks. As soon as the four entered a specific, unusual position, a massive Light Array was activated instantly. They clearly hoped to use this Light Array to counter the might of the Star Space Formation so as to rescue the three Heavenly Knights. But could Komer really let them have their way?

The wicked smile at the corner of his mouth finally morphed into one of satisfaction. Everything was under control. Michelangelo, did you really think of yourself as omnipotent, coming and going as you please? The world doesn’t work that easily!

Suddenly biting the tip of his lip, a crimson mist of blood sprayed out. Komer, in an almost self-harming manner, urged on his strongest Mental Magic; through a faint thread of mental tracking that hung onto Michelangelo’s mind, he launched the most fierce and vicious Dark Erosion he had ever mustered in his life.

At the moment when the light emanating from the Light Array collided with the mist from the Star Space Formation vertically shining down, the entire square seemed to shake and quiver. In an instant, a large area of the ground turned to dust, and even a rift appeared in the light rays of the Star Space Formation. The seals on the prison tower also cracked in that moment, with violent winds raging through the space. These were demonic winds from a Different World, and it was hard to predict what kinds of bizarre transformations they would cause upon touching anyone.

Seizing this rare opportunity, Komer waved his hand decisively. Vladimir Koff and Shatima had already dodged away from the area where the two arrays clashed instantaneously. This was the most dangerous zone, where a moment’s carelessness could suck someone into a Different World Space.

Komer no longer had the luxury to concern himself with the final outcome of Michelangelo and Trajan. He believed that his Dark Erosion would track down the moment when Michelangelo suddenly activated the Light Array—when he was at his weakest—to infiltrate. Once the Dark Erosion invaded the cracks in his psyche, it would stay with him for life. As for those three Heavenly Knights, hmph, even if Trajan managed to escape, the severe injuries would likely confine him to bed for a good year and a half. The aggregated explosive power of the Star Space Formation was something not even a true Paladin could withstand. That was the product of his four Magic Scrolls plus a bottle of the invaluable Star Mercury. If it weren’t for the formation being too constrained by the timing of its activation, Komer would have seriously considered making it his personal protective talisman.

A beautiful dark cross imprint appeared in front of the prison tower Door. The slightly cracked seals could no longer withstand this supremely dark cursed Magic impact, and it collapsed with a thunderous crash. Komer’s figure now stood proudly before Rebry, who was still somewhat dazed. (To be continued. For the follow-up, please visit www.qidian.com. More Chapters are available.
