Chapter 677: Volume Nineteen: Lost Horizon Chapter Seven: Dead Fish

Lorenzo was equally surprised and delighted at this moment, surprised that this rustic Lord had such a variety of tricks up his sleeve, with Elemental Magic coming to him as easily as flipping his hand. The smoke from the Thunder Magic had not yet dispersed when the Earth Magic followed in quick succession. Even if he were releasing a Magic Scroll, it would require time, yet this fellow seemed to have an endless supply of things at his disposal. What delighted him was that this guy had finally revealed his true face—with the appearance of the Undead warriors, it was confirmed that Dark Force existed behind him. Perhaps he could even take this opportunity to find out more about the Dark Forces infiltrating the North. This time, he would find it hard to escape!

Four swift figures pounced almost in an instant, dancing in the air, carrying with them endless Nether Qi from their Reaper Scythes, stirring up fierce winds. The gloomy energy was dense, the black fog murky, and the four Reaper Scythes rose and fell in the dim fog, conjuring countless scythe shadows attacking Lorenzo.

The massive Mud Giant Demons on the ground made the ground tremble with every step they took. The more than ten-foot-tall figures were particularly glaring in front of Lorenzo, and their arm-thick limbs ended in basket-sized palms that kicked up a strong earthy smell with every swing, making one worry if a hit could turn Lorenzo’s fragile body into nothing but bloody mush and bone dust instantly.

"God of Light, grant your faithful servant the Holy Power, with a dance in the void, all things are fixed, fixed!" Almost without thinking, the blessing spell tumbled from Lorenzo’s lips as he pointed, and the two Mud Giant Demons stood still without warning. Within a few seconds, they crumbled into a pile of dirt and dust on the ground, while the two phantom warriors also disappeared into thin air, as if they had never been there. Even the Wind Dragon, gliding through the air, seemed to feel the spatial anomaly at this moment, the tremendous pressure even making the body of the Magic Wind Dragon seem to shrink.

"What a powerful Great Stasis Spell!" With just this one move, Rebry had to admit his inferiority. He commanded the Wind Dragon to circle up again and sweep its tail to raise another round of Wind Blades, admiring Lorenzo in his heart. Lorenzo’s ability to hold the position of Deputy Chief of the Court and to be on equal footing with the disdainful Noyola was no fluke, and he, himself, had never dared to underestimate his opponent.

Less than five people in the Church of Light could perform such a powerful Great Stasis Spell, and less than three could do it with ease. Noyola and Vazinsky, who had little understanding of Space Magic, might not be able to use it as effortlessly as Lorenzo. In the Church of Light, probably only the Pope and Frenster, who had profound knowledge in Space Magic, could match Lorenzo’s impeccable performance.

As the phantom warriors vanished, the two real Undead warriors also found it difficult to advance. Although Komer had used the Magic Crystals from the castle to add intelligence attributes and had taken various measures to strengthen and solidify their body functions, under the extraordinary Power of the Great Stasis Spell, which was enough to contend with ordinary masters who had stepped into the Martial Arts Realm, the Undead warriors could no longer move after taking a single step. The intense pressure coming from all directions finally made the Undead warriors, who had just shown their prowess, realize the strength of the forces of Light. With "plop, plop" noises, the Undead warriors, unable to withstand the immense pressure, fell heavily to the ground, the Magic Crystals released from their bodies instantly evaporated, turning into a puff of Nether Qi.

Heartache almost drove Komer to bite his lip. He had never imagined that Lorenzo’s Power could be so formidable. The Undead warriors he had painstakingly cultivated were annihilated before they could hardly show their strength. Those were the Undead warriors he had obtained from the Magic Crystals found in the Damarlinsk Castle treasure trove. By his estimation, even if they were to face Vladimir Koff or Solonberg one-on-one, those two Undead warriors could at least hold on for ten rounds. But now, before Lorenzo’s mighty Divine Magic, they had collapsed without even so much as touching a hem of his robe.

The Wind Dragon, though compressed and reduced in size by the Great Stasis Spell’s pressure, did not shy away. Under Rebry’s command, the Wind Dragon became even more ferocious and wild, with each pounce raising a raging wind. Countless tangible Wind Wheels and Wind Blades shot out from the dragon’s mouth, circling Lorenzo, causing countless ripples and sparks to collide with Lorenzo’s Light Shield.

Lorenzo was finally feeling the full strength of his former colleague. The wild Wind Dragon, under Rebry’s control, was like an obedient Magic Dragon, surrounding him and continuously diving and attacking. Although the Wind Dragon’s body lost Wind Elements with each attack and sustained damage, the endless wind wheels and wind blades were like an inexhaustible onslaught, forcing him to keep activating his Mana to continually enhance his Light Shield to withstand the attack, leaving him powerless to launch a more effective counterattack.

A growing rage was slowly filling Lorenzo’s heart. Continuing in this stalemate was undoubtedly an insult to his strength. Maybe, at this moment, Noyola was mocking him in his heart for his grandiosity. Lorenzo could hardly restrain himself, and with a wave of his hand, he grasped the Holy Angel Staff firmly and thrust it mightily into the ground, then with both hands grasped the top of the staff and pulled forcefully. His entire body took on a strangely transparent state while the Holy Angel Staff remained firmly in the ground. However, a round beam of light slowly emerged from the staff’s end.

Seeing the solemn look on Lorenzo’s face, Rebry also felt a tightening in his chest. He continued to urge the Wind Dragon to launch even fiercer attacks while stealthily observing the performance of the Holy Angel Staff in Lorenzo’s hands. When he saw a splendid pillar of light being peeled from the Holy Angel Staff and slowly rising into the sky, Rebry was filled with a sense of powerlessness. He actually managed to do it?! The power sealed within the Holy Angel Staff could be unsealed and borrowed, and that pillar of light was clearly the Great Light Magic Sword, the ultimate display of a Magic Practitioner’s Holy Element Power. With the aid of the Holy Angel Staff, this rascal Lorenzo could cleverly avoid damaging his own foundation while unleashing such power. With the Magic Sword released, who would contend with it?

Meanwhile, seeing Rebry’s gaze shift from horror to despair, and from despair to a serenity, Komer also realized the impending crisis. He could no longer afford to hesitate and with one breath released the last two Magic Scrolls he had stored up. He then, with a solemn expression, threw his Black Crystal Staff into the air.

As the Black Crystal Staff fell to the ground and shattered into numerous crystal fragments, a cloud of black smoke momentarily transformed into an immense head of Hades, the god of darkness. Biting his finger, Komer allowed three drops of blood to fall splendidly into the black smoke. The head of Hades immediately took on a ghastly tint of blood.

"Dark Blood Devouring?!" Even Noyola, who had always remained calm and collected, couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise. This kind of Blood Devouring was the result of collecting the resentment of countless ghostly spirits and refining it through special Necromancy before sealing it away. When casting, it required the caster to have profound Dark Magic Power as well as mastery over the unsealing spell, and finally, to use their own blood essence to activate it—a highly complex process. Once Dark Blood Devouring was released, it was difficult to counter just with a Mage’s own Light Magic power, no matter how formidable their Power. It had to be avoided using special Divine Artifacts or Magical Instruments, and now this fellow actually possessed such means!

Having been nourished by the blood beads, the head of Hades was as if it had been granted intelligence and a soul. Without the need for Komer’s control, it swiftly floated above Lorenzo. The Wind Dragon’s powerful force had no effect on the head of Hades, which, once it found its target, transformed into a mass of black fog. It expanded continuously, enveloping Lorenzo’s body completely.

At first, Lorenzo did not realize the crisis that had befallen him. His energy was fully focused on releasing the Light Magic Sword. Lorenzo was absolutely confident in the supreme power of the Light Magic Sword, which no one could withstand. He simply didn’t want to allow his Saint Yuan Power to dissipate in vain during the clash with these two rascals. Borrowing the power of the Holy Angel Staff was the perfect way to compensate for this, making Lorenzo secretly grateful he hadn’t been overconfident and had brought the staff with him.

As soon as the splendid Light Sword leaped from the staff, it danced in the air, spinning rapidly and transforming into a dazzling Light Wheel. With just a couple of crossings, the once-mighty Wind Dragon was sliced to pieces by the spinning Light Sword Wheel, vanishing into thin air. The Light Sword Wheel swept across almost unimpeded, forcing Rebry, who had lost the Wind Dragon, to continuously activate three Magic Scrolls and erect Earth Barriers just in time to hinder the Light Sword’s pursuit, narrowly avoiding the ferocious strike.

While Rebry was desperately evading the Light Sword’s pursuit, Lorenzo found himself in a crisis as well. Lorenzo could never have anticipated that the erosion power of the black fog was so strong. His incredibly robust Light Shield failed to offer any resistance at all, like a demon devouring everything. Without waiting for Lorenzo to react, his external Light Shield crumbled and was completely eroded by the black fog, leaving him filled with regret. His Light Robe was undoubtedly the best weapon to resist such Dark Erosion Magic, yet he thought it unnecessary to wear it and had forsaken it. Now, facing the encroaching erosive fog, Lorenzo had to pay a painful price!

"Damn thing, I will make sure you will never rest in peace!" Forced to erupt with Holy Element Power in anger, the blood-tainted black fog was blasted apart by the boundless power of a Magic Practitioner’s essential spirit released outward. Lorenzo felt almost blinded by hatred as he pointed his Light Sword, one thought prevailing in his mind at that moment—to send that damn bumpkin to the deepest pits of Hell’s Abyss!
