Chapter 516: Volume 12: The Burning Demon Flame, Chapter 7: Enjoying the Treatment
The man before her seemed to give Eve an overwhelming sense of mystery, and this feeling seemed to be growing stronger. He and the Mage named Lome certainly did not fit the description of fresh-faced novices that Grace had mentioned. Although both men were about her own age, the poise and confidence exuded by the man before her were not something a newcomer could exhibit.
Regardless of the man’s identity, Eve was certain of one thing: it appeared he had no ill intentions—especially his united front against the Assassins, which touched Eve deeply. If he had any ulterior motives, they had likely already been accomplished. They just needed to let their guard down slightly, and it seemed that none of her companions would have survived that battle.
While Eve was lost in her thoughts, Komer had already firmly focused his attention on Grace’s torso. With a thought, the Cosmic Bag magnified out of thin air. He skillfully pulled out a Jade Box from the Cosmic Bag, ignoring Eve’s surprised expression. Komer took out several slender Silver_Needles from the box, bent down, and observed Grace’s body with his face nearly close to hers.
Feeling the breath of her companion on her body caused Grace to shudder lightly once again. Such a posture was simply too uncomfortable to accept. Even for lovers, it would be highly unlikely to engage in such behavior with both Eve and Lome present. Shame and embarrassment like never before swelled within Grace’s heart.
With an intense gaze searching over Grace, Komer’s fingers suddenly danced nimbly, and the Silver_Needles were rapidly inserted in a single breath. These brief movements had caused fine sweat to appear on Komer’s forehead. The Silver_Needles were inserted below Grace’s chest, lower abdomen, and below her thighs. The needles were peculiar in shape, with swollen, cylindrical transparent tops, and the lower parts seemed to be hollow, forming what appeared to be a suction apparatus when joined together.
"Uh, Komer, what is this?" Eve’s interest in Komer’s every move grew, discovering that there were too many astonishing things about him. Aside from his mastery in healing magic, he now also possessed medical-like skills. Eve wondered what other surprises he would bring her in the future.
"Hmm, this is a technique I’ve designed myself, which can absorb the magic power applied to Grace. This will prevent the poison from spreading too quickly," Komer said with a slight smile. "I initially wanted to try it on Burianos first, but I didn’t expect to use it on Grace. Let’s see how it works. I hope it doesn’t disappoint me."
Magic fluctuations soon appeared in the transparent part of the Silver_Needles, and Komer smiled with satisfaction, pointing it out to the two women, "Look, this is the water-element magic power being extracted. With the catalyst for the poison’s rate of expansion neutralized, it can only rely on its own toxicity to penetrate. Now Grace’s condition should stabilize, and the next step is to figure out how to eliminate these toxins."
The reverent gaze from Eve filled Komer’s heart with an inexplicable sense of pride. At that moment, he suddenly realized he could only find a sense of fulfillment within this small group, unlike his satisfaction in the environment of the Caucasus. The simple trust and admiration of his companions greatly lightened his mood and brought him pleasure. He enjoyed this unencumbered sense of relaxation.
Lome looked at Komer with admiration too, but hers was without Eve’s surprise. In her heart, a Great sage was omnipotent by nature. Despite any hardships, they were only temporary, merely obstacles one must encounter on the path of practicing the Magic Heaven. The self-invented skills of this Great sage had already brought him to the threshold of the Great Mage’s level.
What Komer did next left the two women speechless. When various bottles and containers began to float out from the Cosmic Bag, Eve and Lome almost doubted whether this unassuming bag could hold a roomful of miscellaneous items.
Both had heard of the existence of Space Dimension Bags, but such an artifact had only been a concept in their minds—they had never seen one before, rumored to be a divine artifact reserved only for those above the rank of Great Mage.
The Space Dimension Bag couldn’t be created merely by possessing strong magic power or advanced magic skills. Crafting such an item required a confluence of the right circumstances, a stroke of luck, to bring such a treasure into existence.
Komer continued to select various ointments, powders, and liquids from an array of medicines, mixing them in his palm before applying them evenly over Grace’s body. He gently massaged around the source of the poison, helping the medicine to quickly spread and permeate into her system.
The palm, carrying an odd heat, gently massaged the area between Grace’s chest and abdomen and around the root of her thighs. This technique, ripe with sensuality, immediately caused Grace, who lay on the bed, to react. Her skin, naturally more sensitive than most, gradually soaked with an unusual rosy red.
She even had to bite down on her lip to remind herself not to make a sound. This almost torturous method of treatment was unexpected, and she found that her lower half, which had been completely numb, was slowly regaining sensation. However, the restoration of sensation brought her an even more unbearable torment.
Immersed in the pleasurable indulgence of this treatment, Komer kneaded her skin to speed up the medicine’s absorption after applying it—a procedure that indeed didn’t require excessiveness, yet Komer had taken it to the extreme. His palms moved slowly but forcefully across her abdomen and the small of her back, caressing her skin, which was as smooth as satin. From Grace’s skin, Komer experienced an unprecedented pleasure, a voyeuristic delight deep in his heart, which forced him to split his focus and restrain a certain desire to prevent it from spiraling out of control.
Since his return from exile, it seemed he had been in a perpetual state of abstinence. Both Tracy and Lome had once stirred ripples in him, and Vero had brought him a refreshing comfort. Now, this stirring sensation seemed to swell within his chest once more.
Each glide of his fingers across the skin sparked a sort of fanciful thought in both parties, a mutual connection. Heat circulated between his fingers and her flesh, and this slightly seductive atmosphere was even subtly perceived by Eve and Lome, who stood by watching Komer’s actions, sparking a chord in the hearts of both women to varying degrees.
Fortunately, Komer soon realized that he had unwittingly incorporated his Psychic Magic into the massage, which, while it certainly helped the medicine work, seemed to carry many side effects. Although not necessarily bad, Komer was unwilling to proceed in such a manner under these circumstances.
When Grace finally appeared at the door, looking vibrant and healthy, her concerned companions couldn’t help but embrace Komer tightly to celebrate and show their gratitude. When Komer once again drew out the trace of negative Magic Fire from within Burianos through the Silver Needle, the straightforward Giant Warrior was utterly conquered by Komer’s methods. Looking at Komer, his eyes were filled with endless gratitude and admiration, even causing Eve to feel a tinge of jealousy—this fervent adoration was something she had never received from Burianos.
With the temporary crisis averted and the injuries of Burianos and Grace healed, at least for the time they were in Prague, their safety seemed assured. The Magic Knights had strengthened their patrols inside the city, feeling the pressure and humiliation from this brazen challenge to their authority and eager to prove themselves worthy of the reputation of Bohemia’s Royal Knights.
The continuous use of magic had left Komer somewhat fatigued, but he needed to have a serious talk with Eve alone.
The performance of the three mages indicated that the enemy had a determined intent to silence them. Had he not fortunately intervened, Eve’s group would likely have been unable to escape harm. The assassins clearly came from a professional assassination group, which is not commonly seen on the Continent, especially in the North. It must be related to his own knowledge somehow, but connecting with such groups would require a significant price and deep connections.
The involvement of the Bohemia Ministry of Internal Affairs was a good thing, although Komer had some doubts about whether they would stand up to the claims of being unaffected by any outside forces after identifying the enemy’s background. Still, their involvement would likely make the enemies act with more caution—at least, they would not attempt a second operation within the borders of the Bohemia Kingdom. Otherwise, it would be an outright provocation to both the Bohemia Kingdom and the Mage Guild. Komer surmised a compromise was more likely to be reached.
Understanding the truth behind this incident meant they needed to decide on their next step immediately. Unless they opted to stay in Prague indefinitely for protection, the moment they stepped out of the Bohemia Kingdom’s borders could be fraught with danger. Komer did not want to face another unprepared attack.
