Chapter 322: Volume 5 Lord’s Path Chapter 10 Essence Spiritual Ring_2

The warm breath that hit his face made Komer immediately realize that the magic practiced by Mage Mundell must belong to the Light Series, and there was a great possibility that he was a Mage from the Church of Light. Ever since his battle with Malone, Komer had discovered that his Magic Skills in the world of magic were still like those of a child who had just begun to learn to walk. Although he now had the support of a powerful Magic Crystal Piece, digesting the Magic power contained in the Magic Crystal would require prolonged cultivation. Furthermore, Magic Skills were not solely dependent on powerful Magic power. The manifestation of various Magic Skills was even more about a Mage’s execution of different magic abilities, including Magical knowledge, Magic Spells, and Magic tools—all indispensable. To master these elements required countless time and experience to hone. Komer did not know how much further he had to go to reach the level of the two Mages before him.

If Mage Mundell’s presence allowed Komer to sense some movements, the scruffy man standing next to Mundell left Komer unable to detect the slightest Magic breath from him, aside from an ordinary person’s presence. However, Komer knew that it was often precisely such people who were the most unpredictable. During his travels with Master, his Master had specifically warned Komer that Archmages and even Great Mages often appeared inconspicuous; they could control their Magic breath with their everyday breathing and gestures, achieving whatever they desired effortlessly. Except when necessary, you would be completely unaware of their existence. Those who always revealed a strong Magic breath and postured as a Great Mage were mostly half-baked, especially among Magicians.

A strange and solemn expression appeared on Mage Mundell’s face, obviously captivated by the ring in Komer’s hand that seemed too ordinary. The pressuring aura he exuded along his journey made the surrounding Nobles unconsciously step aside, clearing a space. The scruffy man known as Mr. Rebry shone with excitement in his eyes, his gaze firmly fixed on the ring in Komer’s hand. The look of disdain and impatience that had been on his face had vanished without a trace, his messy shoulder-length hair standing as if electrified, and his lips trembling slightly.

"My old friend, what do you think of this ring...?" Taking a deep breath, Mundell’s face revealed a curious expression, his gaze shifting to Komer’s face with what seemed a mix of regret and confusion—a difficult emotion to describe with a single adjective. Meanwhile, his referred-to "old friend," the normally aloof man, was burning with intensity, seemingly pondering something as he remained silent, not answering his friend’s question.

Perhaps clouded by jealousy and hostility, the young knight failed to notice the shock and surprise in Mage Mundell’s words, "Mr. Mundell, this Baron Komer claims this is a unique Magic Ring with a glorious and brilliant legacy. Take a look, does such a crude and simple ring merit being called unique? And to have someone shamelessly claim it has a glorious and brilliant history—do they mean to deceive us, the people of the Galle Region, or are they trying to trick our respected Princess Vero with such a paltry item?"

"You blind fool, shut your beak! Don’t embarrass your Knights, not recognizing such a marvel of the world! It’s one thing to not recognize something, but to not recognize it and spout nonsense here—I think you’re about to completely disgrace the Nirvana Knights." A stream of curses and expletives erupted from the scruffy Mage’s mouth, his face flushing as he almost poked his finger in Knight Sart’s face, his saliva flying as he roared furiously: "Kid, you’re a stain on the name of knights. How could such a poor imposter like you be among the Galle Region’s Nobles? How did you even get into the Knights?"

"My friend, could this really be...?" Mundell perked up, ecstasy spreading across his face as his eyes fixated on the scruffy Mage’s face.

"Of course, my eyesight, Rebry, is never wrong. This is indeed one of the Essence Spirit Rings carried by the Goddess of Nature herself—the Essence! Baron, may I take a closer look at the ring?" Contrary to his disdain for Knight Sart, the scruffy Mage looked at Komer with an expectant expression, and Komer instinctively realized that perhaps giving away this unknown ring as a birthday gift was a grave mistake.

"Uh? This, of course, you may look at the ring, Mr. Rebry. You recognize the Spiritual Ring?" At this point, even if Komer felt regretful, he had no choice but to bite the bullet and continue. Moreover, he was still clueless about what the Essence Spirit Ring mentioned by the other seemed to be, and his original plan to fabricate a splendid history for the ring seemed to have been boasted by someone else.

Receiving the blue ring from Komer’s hand, a surge of Magic power silently flowed into the Magic Ring. Suddenly, a bright blue glow emanated from Rebry’s palm, outshining the dozens of Crystal Chandeliers. The misty blue light filled the entire Grand Hall; almost everyone’s eyes narrowed at the pervasive glow, and an uproar rose in the hall. Quickly withdrawing his Magic power, all the light disappeared in an instant, as if absorbed by the ring in his hand, returning it to its normal state—it remained an ordinary ring resting in his palm.
