Chapter 635: Chapter 635 Initial Design

King Yan, who had originally been sitting with his eyes closed to recuperate, had already sensed the commotion caused by the Judge. Yet before he could open his mouth to scold, he heard the Judge’s words, tinged with urgency.

"Has something happened in the Human World?" King Yan immediately sat up straight and spoke in a deep voice, "What exactly has happened in the Human World? Tell me everything."

Considering that the Judge seemed so anxious and had even taken the trouble to come and report, the situation must be far from trivial.

Although he was very anxious, the Judge still managed to systematically explain the situation in the Human World, concluding with a worried comment, "King, such a major incident in the Human World must signify some kind of trouble."

King Yan narrowed his eyes, intending to carefully consider what exactly was going on.

In the next second, a sudden change occurred.

The floor began to shake violently, faint cracks appeared in the space, and outside came successive, eerie wails of ghosts that were both piercing and chilling to the ear.

"This is bad." King Yan was startled and rushed out of the great hall.

Upon exiting, he saw that the Barrier above hell seemed to show signs of loosening.

Probably because of the weakening Barrier, numerous ghosts began to stir restlessly. Especially some of the punished Evil Ghosts that were already trying to escape through the cracks in the weakening Barrier to leave hell and return to the Human World.

The ghost messengers were all mobilized to catch those Evil Ghosts attempting to flee hell.

For a moment, the entire underworld echoed with chaotic screams and wails—a scene of utmost disorder.

Without time to think further about the nature of the incident, King Yan immediately sprang into action.

His hands began to form Seals, and complicated spells poured from his lips. As the seals formed by his hands quickened, a golden light emerged.

As the golden light grew increasingly bright, the fissures in the Barrier above hell started to heal rapidly. In just a short while, the cracks on the Barrier had completely disappeared, once again becoming unbreakable.

The Evil Ghosts trying to escape, realizing their efforts were futile, became even more frantic. This added to the chaos already enveloping hell. Eventually, even the Ten Hall Yama had to emerge in force before the unrest in hell could be truly quelled.

When he returned to Yama Hall, King Yan sat upon the throne of hell’s ruler, his demeanor tinged with a hint of fatigue, and glanced at the Judge seated below him, "What is the situation outside now?"

"Your Majesty, the turmoil in hell has been completely quelled," the Judge reported with his head bowed. "However, regarding the Human World, we still do not understand the situation there. And—"

"And what?" King Yan immediately pressed, "Hurry up and say it!"

"Your Majesty, today’s events are too strange," said the Judge truthfully. "Nearly simultaneous incidents in the Human World and hell—could there be some connection between the two?"

A glint of surprise and uncertainty flickered in King Yan’s eyes; then he quickly began to make calculations with his fingers. But in a moment, his expression underwent a drastic change.

"This is bad, something has happened to the Lord above." Urgency edged King Yan’s tone, "Such a disturbance in the natural order signifies serious issues where the Master is concerned."

"If the Lord above encounters trouble, then the affected area would certainly not be just in one place."

After pondering for a moment, the Judge spoke up, "Your Majesty, considering the state of things here, there will surely be disturbances in the Nine Heavens."

"Sigh!" King Yan let out a long sigh, his tone suffused with a faint, almost indiscernible sense of regret, "It’s been so many years; it’s time for the King and the Lady to recover their memories."

Deep within Changbai Mountain, at the bottom of a cliff.

The black and Purple Energy around Lu Yichen grew increasingly distinct.

The two forces, unwilling to yield to each other, intertwined and tangled, as if attempting to devour one another; yet they were paradoxically bound together and repulsive, causing the very air of the space to become taut with tension.

Lu Yichen, in the eye of this storm, wore an expressionless face.

A torrent of memories flooded into Lu Yichen’s mind, and concurrently, the power within his body grew stronger.

He closed his eyes, and upon reopening them, a flicker of cold light flashed quickly in the depths of his originally tranquil gaze. At this moment, just standing there, he exuded an aura of sovereignty.

His face bore no excess of expression, yet his emotions had started to calm down.

For there had been an instant when he had felt the presence of Zhong Niangyao. This sensation had gradually halted the uprising of his volatile emotions.

The Purple Energy and Evil Qi, entwined in strife, ultimately merged in mid-air, then descended directly back into Lu Yichen’s body.

If it were the Lu Yichen of the past, he might not have been able to endure it.

However, the current Lu Yichen had recovered all his memories, and most of the power inside him had returned.

Just as Lu Yichen was about to continue his search for Zhong Niangyao, space suddenly fluctuated. Soon after, a dark figure appeared before him.

"Master."

The arrival was none other than King Yan.

Upon seeing Lu Yichen’s expression, he knew what had transpired. It seemed the Master had already recovered his memory.

"What exactly is happening?" Lu Yichen’s tone was ice-cold, "Why have you appeared in this place?"

"Master, both the Human World and hell have encountered problems."

Hearing such a statement, Lu Yichen’s expression remained unchanged as he coldly said, "What has that to do with me?"

Upon hearing Lu Yichen’s indifferent words, King Yan’s face was filled with difficulty. Even though he had not expected Lu Yichen to act today, he couldn’t help but feel stirred deep inside by these cold words.

Lu Yichen was not clear about the nature of the disturbances in the Human World and hell, but he knew well that his foremost priority was to find Zhong Niangyao. Thus, he stepped forward, intending to leave the place.

But now, he once again lost any trace of Zhong Niangyao’s presence.

For a time, his face grew even more displeased.

As his mood worsened, the sky turned even more oppressively dark. The flashing of lightning and roar of thunder continued unabated, with no sign of stopping.

King Yan looked up at the dauntingly oppressive atmosphere, his heart in turmoil.

The coldness in Lu Yichen’s eyes almost condensed into substance, and the power within him hinted at an impending outburst once more.

"Yichen."

Just then, a clear voice rang out.

Following the voice, a dainty figure appeared.

The comer was none other than Zhong Niangyao.
