Chapter 282: Spoon-fed
Chapter 282: Spoon-fed
The day passed by Raine in the blink of an eye. Then again, that was what sleep did to people as she dozed the day away. By the time she was awake, the sun had already set.
"H-Huh..."
Raine bleary let out a groan as she reoriented herself in her bed. Looking outside, the darkness of the night sky was already in full swing, the moon hanging lazily above them mortals as it illuminated the world beneath it. The room itself was still the same as she left it, with her being alone with no Nathan in sight.
"He must be busy..."
Shrugging at her own thoughts, Raine resigned herself to some time alone as she got out of bed. Shambling her way to the restroom, she splashed some water on her face to wake herself up, the cool waters shocking her still-drowsy system into submission.
"Damn... my sleep schedule’s really screwed up, isn’t it..."
Chuckling to herself, Raine rubbed the water out of her eyes before coming back up to stare at herself in the mirror. Opening her eyes, she-
"Good evening."
"Kya!"
In an instant, the last vestiges of drowsiness in her system were shocked out of her body. Nathan’s unmoving face almost looked like something out of a horror movie as she placed a hand over her chest in an effort to calm her poor heart.
"W-what the hell, Nathan?" Raine scandalously accused. "Since when were you here?"
"Since before you woke up, actually," Nathan lazily smirked. "I guess your guard is just off whenever you just woke up."
Raine blushed in both embarrassment and shame. Embarrassment in the fact that she was caught off-guard, and shame in the fact that she even let herself get into such a compromising situation in the first place.
"You’re losing your touch?" Nathan teased.
"Absolutely not," Raine firmly denied. "At best, I just need a bit more practice."
It was humiliating. She should really get back into the groove of things if only to not get caught off guard like this again.
"Anyway, how did the meeting go?"
"It went exactly as you expect it," Nathan shrugged as he leaned on the bathroom wall. "You’ll get your chance, at least, so I guess you do need to get some practice in."
"Ugh... I know," Raine sighed. "Nothing I can’t handle though."
The two stared at one another with obvious love in their eyes. The tension was starting to build up, and Raine could already feel the familiar tingle settling within the pit of her stomach. It was only a matter of time now before they went at it again, especially since they were trapped within the small confines of the bathroom-
*grooowl...*
"Oh?"
"Dammit..."
The echoes of Raine’s growling stomach seemed to bounce over and over against the bathroom walls, each echo only compounding on the embarrassment that she was currently feeling. Her cheeks burned brightly, her arms quickly covering her traitorous stomach as she cursed herself.
"Hey now, if you’re hungry, you should’ve just told me," Nathan chuckled.
"I-I suppose so," Raine awkwardly replied. "I do need something to eat..."
"Well, let’s fix that then," Nathan smirked. "I’ll call up for some food. You can finish up preparing yourself."
With but a wave, Nathan left the bathroom, leaving Raine to her lonesome as she found herself staring at her burning cheeks. The embarrassment she was feeling was legendary, and she didn’t even think that it was possible for any person to melt out of sheer awkwardness.
"What the hell was that, me..." she growled in annoyance. "Of course now’s gonna be the time my stomach growls..."
Mumbling to herself, Raine shook her head before she dived into the task of fixing herself up. Reigning in what’s left of her dignity, she dried off her face before getting out of the bathroom.
"Right on time."
Raising an eyebrow, Raine couldn’t help but smile as she looked at the sight before her. Nathan had set up a dinner table in their room, the dim lights giving out a romantic tint to the whole atmosphere as he sat on the chair opposite hers.
"Have a seat," Nathan offered.
"Don’t mind if I do."
Giving him a nod, Raine pulled out her chair and took her seat. The scent of the food actually made her stomach rumble again, much to her own displeasure and to Nathan’s amusement.
"Go ahead and eat," Nathan smiled. "We’re not getting any younger."
Smiling at her mate, Raine grabbed her fork and began eating in earnest. Her stomach sighed in relief at the sustenance, her own taste buds rejoicing as she feasted on her meal.
"Here."
"Nathan?"
To her surprise, Nathan had scooted his seat next to hers, her hand already dipping into her meal and feeding her her own meal.
"What? I can’t spoon-feed my future Queen now?" Nathan teased.
Raine gave him a small smirk, "I see. Well, in that case, feel free to do so."
Opening her mouth, she anticipated Nathan’s fork as he fed him a portion of her spaghetti carbonara. For some reason, the gesture only made her meal all the more delicious as she daintily chewed on her morsel.
"You’re awfully dainty right now," Nathan chuckled.
"What can I say? Being spoon-fed by someone you love can do that to people," Raine cheekily replied. "I still have some self-respect on me."
"Do you know?"
Before she could reply, Nathan was already standing up and scooting her off her own chair. Taking his lead, she sat on his lap, his shaft already poking into her crotch as he wrapped his arms around her.
"Now this is more comfortable," Nathan smirked, his hand already moving to keep feeding her. "Wouldn’t you agree?"
Raine gulped as she nodded, her attention being split between her own meal and the fact that Nathan’s cock was poking painfully close to her own core. Even as Nathan fed her, her own focus was moving ever so slowly towards the burning need building up within her.
"You’re sweating," Nathan smugly whispered into her ear. "Something wrong?"
"You’re such a tease," Raine shakily growled. "I hate you."
"Ah, but you still love it, right?"
Raine groaned. That, she couldn’t deny.
