Chapter 267: Waddling penguins

While things were not going positive for the Xi family, Jane and Liam were busy engrossed in their coming twins that there were literally baby items in every corner of the house.

It becomes funnier when one gets to know that this couple equally chose not to know the gender of their babies and therefore, everything in the house was double, both for male and female.

"Hmm... I think we over did it Liam."

Jane helplessly spoke up as the couple viewed their newly delivered baby products scattered all over their living room.

"Hmmm..i guess you’re right babe. We.. Ohh snap!! We forgot the baby cribs!!"

Liam had started his statement in a calm manner only for him to panic towards the end, scaring not only Jane but also the other two people in the room.

"Hurry up Liam! Get me my phone! We need the high quality ones like immediately!"

The two hurriedly left the room, one of them having long legs that one could barely keep up with him while the other being heavily pregnant as she waddled out of the room, constantly cursing her partner for not slowing down even though she had just hurriedly ordered him.

"They don’t see us? Really now?"

Chloe grumbled as she folded her hands on her chest, amusing the already amused Ryan.

"I guess so babe." The man answered as he observed the location where the two had disappeared to.

"WAIT!" As if Chloe had just happened to realize something, she turned to look at Ryan, anger evident on her face.

"Do I walk like sister-in-law?"

Ryan felt his lips twitched for the unnamed time as he inwardly braced himself and wore a very beautiful smile before turning to his woman as he held her hands.

"Of course not! You don’t waddle baby! You’re walk is the sexist of them all!"

"So you mean your sister waddles??"

Ryan inwardly cursed the moment Jane’s murderous voice was heard. He could feel her eyes boring holes on his head and before he could even turn his head, a slipper landed on his perfectly gelled hair as it delivered a beautiful hit.

"Humph!" Jane madly walked out of the room but she stopped before carefully lifting her other foot and taking out her other Slipper before throwing it at Liam in anger.

Liam’s ear immediately turned red as looked at her, displaying an innocent and wronged expression only for him to immediately drop all that the moment he spotted the murderous glare directed to him.

"What did I..."

"So you mean to tell me I have been waddling all along and you have been busy false hyping meee!!?"

Liam was cut off by Jane’s high pitch voice as he hopelessly looked at her.

"No love you are per..."

"Humph! Don’t talk to me."

The woman turned her back on him mid sentence as she waddled towards the Kitchen.

On seeing this, Chloe turned to glare at her man. "You insulted my sister. Humph!!"

The girl equally stood up and humphed at him as she waddled to the kitchen, following Jane and as she passed by Liam she gave him a very big glare as she squinted her eyes.

Liam looked at the kitchen door that was angrily shut and he couldn’t help but rub his forehead in helplessness before sighing.

Ryan couldn’t help but widely smiled as he looked at his helpless brother-in-law, and immediately the two men made eye contact, they quietly giggled because they knew for a fact that their women do more than waddle, but because they didn’t want to trigger the wrong spot on them, they just decided to hide their thoughts because according to them, they looked sexy as usual.

"How are you holding up, man?"

"Up to this point, Good, but I believe I’m going to sleep on the couch today like... oh ... oh...oh!!"

The two men helplessly smile because they knew they were both going to sleep on the couch today because they just annoyed their pregnant women, and according to their unspoken rules, there is no forgiveness for that.

"Do you really enjoy maxing out your credit credit card that much?"

Ryan finally spoke what has been itching him throughout the day as he pointed at everything in the living room only to earn back a shrug from Liam.

"You know better than anyone that these are my beautiful kids, your nephews, your nieces or your nephew and your niece so whatever you have in mind about me over shopping or just doing some little shopping, Yeah, scrap it off man."

"Hey, I... just... I’m so excited. In 1 ½ months we are going to be holding our babies. The children we helped create. I’m just so excited, so scared and so... The feeling is just amazing, you know?"

Just like that, the two men started discussing on their view on fatherhood and how much they couldn’t wait to finally hold their children on their hands.

On the other side of the kitchen, the two ladies who are busy munching on their snacks as they conversed, each one of them sharing their pregnancy experiences up to this point.

At the moment, both ladies were almost nine months into pregnancy and they couldn’t help but feel scared.

"I feel so scared..the other day I stumbled upon a blurred video of a woman giving birth and let me tell you something!! I don’t know how I’ll do it, but...Well...hey!"

Chloe was immediately smacked on the head the moment she said this, and the moment she turned towards Jane as if asking her what was wrong, Jane went ahead and pointed towards her huge bulging tummy with her eyes, as if asking her if she was really a joke.

"You’re talking about pushing out one kiddo, what about me was about to push two??Like literally one, two?"

She even went ahead to do the hand gestures one and two, as if trying to prove her point. But to Chloe,she just looked like a stressed pregnant mom who was busy exaggerating and over thinking much.

"It’s guaranteed we will be able to make it, we will be able to make it and as for those two, whatever out there, are you going to forgive Liam? Because if you’re not forgiving him, I’m not forgiving Ryan."

"Why don’t we instead use them very well? Not like forgiving them, but make them do things to earn our forgiveness. What do you say?"

The two ladies wore gloating smiles as they came to an agreement before they finally opened the kitchen door, and as they opened it, their expressions went back to haughty and wronged expressions as they walked, more like waddled past their husbands and sat on the same chair pretending that they did not exist.

If one could look closely, they could see Liam and Ryan smiling through their eyes despite the fact that these two ladies were just acting so defiant, but it’s their defiance and their their moods that kept them going.

"Oh, is this the place? It for sure has been long then."

Emily spoke as she analyzed the place that Daniel had brought her, and the more she analyzed it, the more she felt satisfied because according to her, she wanted the people inside there to feel some little bit of torture and feel scared.

"Well, let’s do this, babe."

The moment the two lovebirds got in, a straight line of men was immediately made as they all bowed down a whole 90 degrees in respect for both Daniel and Emily.

The couple in question had already switched up their strict mode, and one couldn’t help but shiver the more they looked at them, because according to them, this was like some kind of killing machine that came in a pair.

Emily immediately took the forefront as she was the one who was leading Daniel instead of Daniel leading her, despite the fact that she didn’t know where she was heading to but according to the various noises that were being made by mother Xi, she was able to figure out where they were supposed to go to.

Daniel helplessly walked behind her as he observed her body from head to toe, nodding satisfactory, because the Emily right now couldn’t be compared to the Emily almost 2 ½ months ago. The Emily then had just woken from a long time coma and was completely weak, while this Emily right now was one strong and scary woman, but not that he didn’t mind. His only downfall will be messing with this woman and maybe pissing her off. Maybe then his family would find his limbs scattered on the road.

The more he observed her nicely shaped body, the more he felt hot as he slightly coughed before looking somewhere else because...well... it has been years!!

"Somebody opened this door! I want to see who has the audacity and who has the guts to lock us up! Somebody opened this door!!"

Mother Xi continued shouting in despair, making the other three frown deeply as they couldn’t stand her high pitched, scratched voice. It was at the same moment that the door was suddenly opened, but it was completely dark, scaring the four immediately.

They heard the clicking of heels followed by some shoes which they could assume were worn by a man but the more they heard these sounds, the more scared they became, because according to them, something was not right somewhere. They felt like they were being hanged. They felt like they were in ancient times where they were being beheaded, except, there were no blades on their necks.
