Ian looked at the woman in his hands and smiled because he clearly knew how capable she was but that didn’t mean he was going to let her investigate on her own. He knew he couldn’t tell her because with his sources it was going to be impossible to compete with her and for some reason, he couldn’t outshine Mary at all.

Mary silently looked at him as she roughly guessed what was running through his mind but she wasn’t going to stop him either. The silence between them was broken when Ian suddenly picked her up and as if it was something they oftenly did, her legs immediately circled his waist as she circled her arms around his neck. He was about to say something when his phone rang. Ian was planning to ignore it but the look on Mary’s face told him not to dare. He whined annoyingly as he used one hand to support her and the other to pick his phone.

Even without checking the caller, he immediately picked it up. "Come to the mansion immediately." His father’s voice echoed and without giving him a chance to speak, the call was disconnected. "Of course they found out, you should go." Mary said as she heard everything from the other end. Ian gave her an apologetic look before putting her down gently and planting a kiss on her forehead before he left the house only to find a military car waiting outside for his arrival.

As Mary watched the man leave, she inwardly smiled. "This is it Mary, you have a chance to prepare." She immediately took the items and started heading upstairs since she really had something big to plan for Ian. She wanted to give the man her innocence.

At first, she really wanted to do this for the sake of Ian and his parents but earlier as she was going through the lingeries, her body was getting hotter just imagining finally making love to her husband. The man was probably a virgin, a chaste and here she was making him wait yet they were already married.

Mary smiled to herself as she went through the decorations she needed to prepare for a steamy night. "I can’t deny it.. I know my feelings for him are growing every single day, whether he is by my side or not.." She mumbled to herself as she disguised herself to head out once again since she couldn’t purchase these items together with Ian.

On the other hand, Ian arrived home only to find his parents sitted with serious expressions. "Mom, dad." He greeted them as he bowed, showing respect. "Son." His mother immediately pulled him in for a hug. "I am glad you are okay my little love." Father Mo immediately scrunched his nose hearing his wife pampering their grown ass son in such a manner but hid his jealousy perfectly.

"Iam fine mom, but why aren’t you two asking about Mary?" Ian asked as he got out of his mother’s embrace only to see his parents raising their eyebrows at him. "You need to realize that the last person who can easily get harmed is Mary son." Father Mo spoke as he signalled Ian to take his tea and the man did so wearing confusing looks on his face.

"What do you mean?" The man asked only for him to choke on his drink the next minute. "Do you think The reaper gets hurt easily?" Mother Mo calmy asked as she looked at her son who almost chocked on his drink.

"Ho..how did..wait..how did you know about this?" Ian asked and his father slightly laughed, "It seems you are forgetting who we are.. right?" The middle aged man said and Ian nodded back in realization remembering who his parents were.

"After knowing who you were interested in, we really did start digging, there was no way you could marry a simple girl knowing your status son and furthermore, the day she saved me still rings in my mind to date and one thing I could tell is that she was not a simple girl." Mother Mo spoke shocking Ian. "Why didn’t you stop our relationship then?" Ian asked back wondering why they didn’t even after knowing about her dangerous identity.

"We simply like her and besides, tell me who in this whole country can match to you, a major general?" His father replied calmly warming Ian’s heart, that silly girl didn’t know that even after being in the underworld actively, his parents still adored her.

The man just smiled not knowing what to say when his mother spoke up once again. "There is a chance she was the target but Iam not saying you can’t be the target son, Iam giving you two days to get to the bottom of this young man, I don’t want my son and daughter in law struggling instead if giving me grandkids."

She spoke shamelessly that her husband almost chocked on his drink. The family of three discussed for a while before Ian and his father left to play some chess as father and son.
