Chapter 132: Chapter 122_3

Shen Junze knew he had overstepped, and said with full patience, "Luoluo is the only girl in the Shen Family. We’ve always been very protective of her. My remarks to you were inappropriate, and I hope you’ll forgive me."

"I’m giving you my card to thank you for helping Luoluo. If possible, I’d also like to add you on WeChat, so that we can stay in touch whenever assistance is needed."

Shen Junze’s tone was grateful, and his attitude was incredibly sincere.

Someone of his stature wouldn’t normally care about a youngster’s opinions, but for his sister’s sake, he was willing to lower himself to ask for the boy’s forgiveness.

Rong Zhi’s slender fingers pushed the card back, waving his phone leisurely, "WeChat is fine."

Shen Junze didn’t mind being rejected; at least the young man had forgiven him. He chuckled lightly, "Alright."

-

Afternoon.

Rong Zhi returned to the company, finding the documents neatly arranged on her desk, clearly organized by someone – and only Bai Tingxun could access her office.

An intern being this meticulous was already quite impressive.

As the clock approached closing time, Rong Zhi clocked out. On her way out, she glanced at Bai Tingxun’s workstation; she was still diligently studying the financial report Rong Zhi had given her.

Judging by the number of pages, she was likely planning to finish it, so Rong Zhi didn’t rush her to leave. Before heading out, Rong Zhi turned towards the stairwell to switch on the 35th floor’s standby light.

At Rong, lights were uniformly turned off at 9:30 PM. This light was meant for employees pulling an all-nighter, although it was rarely used.

After switching on the light, Rong Zhi left the Rong Building.

In the evening, she had plans with Ying Yunlin to go to an F3 Formula race. She stayed with He Songzhi at the hospital until nightfall, and when Jiang Gujun brought Rong Jiazze over, she left at almost the same time.

Almost simultaneously, as she drove to pick up Ying Yunlin, Bai Su arrived at the hospital ward.

"Going to watch a race?" He asked, removing the cigarette from his mouth.

Jiang Gujun nodded, "Yeah, Mr. Rong mentioned some racing competition in the suburb of the capital... huh, are you going too, Mr. Su?"

What he got in response was just the man’s tall, sturdy back.

Elsewhere.

The night outside of Beijing was ignited by the enthusiasm of racing fans; despite the mere 4-degree temperature, they were bundled up, yet their excited cheers heated the atmosphere.

This was a 6 to 3 elimination race, with Ying Hengyu’s RUSH Team on the stage.

After training for a while, the backup driver’s skills had improved significantly. With better familiarity with the track, he was now ready to compete.

Rong Zhi and Ying Yunlin were sitting in the stands, in front of them were support items Ying Hengyu had insisted they take, including lights and flags printed with the RUSH logo.

Ying Yunlin picked up the light panel to play with, the multicolored flashing lights illuminating his sharply defined features and adding to his depth.

He glanced around, laughing lightly, "Your brother’s team seems to have quite a lot of fans."

Apparently, they were seated right in the section for RUSH Team fans, surrounded by racing enthusiasts holding the same light panels, and quite a few personal fans with support items bearing names.

Retracting his gaze, Ying Yunlin turned sideways to look at the youth and suddenly asked with a smile, "Do you think there might be Little Ying God’s fans here?"

Rong Zhi continued typing slowly, rather nonchalantly, "Probably."

Ying Yunlin lowered his eyes, clicking his tongue with slight displeasure, "He’s bothering you again? Not to sound like a brother, but that guy seems quite the flirt. You’re smart, don’t let him fool you."

Rong Zhi slid her thumb to spin the phone on her fingertip, her expression flat, "He can’t fool me."

Her flirting skills outdid his; fool her? Not a chance.

Ying Yunlin wanted to say more, but hearing her certainty, he kept the rest to himself.

Indeed, Little Ying God was quite impressive. She always played others; no one could play her.

They sat for a while longer until the race was about to begin.

Rong Zhi suddenly stood up, and Ying Yunlin asked in confusion, "What’s up?"

She waved her hand, "Picking someone up."

Ying Yunlin: "..."

Clingy pest!!!

Ying Yunlin held back his frustration and as soon as Rong Zhi came back, he immediately glanced at the man behind her.

The man’s features were charming and refined, elegant yet relaxed. His long, jade-like fingers made a gesture, then nodded, with a familiar smile curving the corners of the peach blossom eyes.

"..."

If there was a knife nearby, Ying Yunlin might have rushed to seize it and strike.

Rong Zhi originally intended to sit next to Ying Yunlin, but the man beat her to it, seating himself first with a hand on the spot beside him. He looked up and chuckled lightly at her, "Zai Zai, sit here."
