Chapter 359: Chapter 352 Still Kung Fu

"Don’t come, you coming is of no use... wait for us to evacuate... over!"

Li Yang took over for Li Jingang on the radio, and while he spoke, his sniper rifle kept firing. In the brief time it took to say that sentence, he had fired twice.

If a sniper rifle is shooting at such a fast pace, it can only mean that the situation is really dire.

Gao Yuan was frantic, and he was getting angry, so he shouted into the radio: "You have time for that bullshit, tell me your position, damn it! Damn it all!"

"Right side! Machine gunner! Right side!"

The radio was chaotic because the people fighting in front needed to communicate through it as well. The shouting was from Panxin, but immediately after that, Yuri’s roar came through the radio.

"Medic! Medic!"

Yuri was speaking English, and although Gao Yuan was not good at English, he could at least understand the word ’medic’.

In comparison to everyday language, Gao Yuan was better at combat terms, as well as military-related language because these were words closely linked to combat and life. He might not know how to curse in English, but he at least needed to know how to cry for help.

Li Yang’s voice came through the radio again, and he said earnestly, "Nemesis, listen up, do what you’re supposed to do, don’t act rashly, over!"

Gao Yuan did not rush to respond because he knew that Li Yang wouldn’t give him their location, and neither would anyone else.

Just then, Yu Shunzhou suddenly said through the radio: "Bladesmith... we’re surrounded, damn these bastards are fierce, Plan Nine, Plan Nine, just forget everything else, execute Plan Nine, damn it! Do you understand, Plan Nine!"

While Yu Shunzhou babbled on, Panxin, not far from him, yelled: "Keep the channel clear, don’t hog the frequency!"

Yu Shunzhou stopped talking immediately, and now it was Gao Yuan’s turn to speak, but then Panxin was heard shouting through the radio: "Mr. Cao, suppress the enemy, cover the retreat, Mr. Hao, follow me to meet the Russkies!"

Every conversation over the radio was sure to be accompanied by intense gunfire.

Gao Yuan’s heart had gone cold because the gunfire was so intense that the ammunition carried by Spark Squad wouldn’t last much longer.

Then, Li Yang spoke again on the radio, speaking urgently: "Nemesis, not everyone is as easy to handle as Indian, you can’t deal with this, we’re changing communication frequencies now, don’t say anything, just evacuate immediately! Goodbye, over!"

"Hello, hello! How do I evacuate? Is this bullshit or what, hello! Speak up, damn it!"

Gao Yuan stood up and was about to throw the radio away, but after swaying it around for a while, he ultimately kept the radio.

Everyone else was listening to the conversation when Liu Deguang stood up tremblingly, and he said in a low voice, "We’re surrounded..."

Gao Yuan shouted angrily: "Even an idiot knows that!"

"Don’t panic! You need to stay calm!"

Liu Deguang’s voice was already slightly hoarse as he said softly: "Captain! You are the captain! Don’t forget your duties, listen to Li Yang, evacuate!"

Gao Yuan took a breath. Xinghe had already sat up and said softly, "Are we going to leave them behind and go?"

Renato sighed deeply and said in a low voice: "Alright, it’s the only way. We’ve committed all our forces to the fight, and the enemy is much stronger than we anticipated. I guess these must be Sanitation Worker’s elite troops. Let it be, let’s board the ship and leave this place."

Leave?

Walking is pointless.

Gao Yuan tossed the bag containing Revelation to Liu Deguang and whispered, "Get on the ship."

Liu Deguang said sharply, "Don’t forget who you are and how important you are! Captain!"

Gao Yuan shook his head, "If they all die here, what can we still do? What can we achieve?"

Liu Deguang was plain furious, he roared, "You think I don’t want to save them? I want to even more than you do! It’s you! You should be fulfilling your duty as the captain! We are here to protect you, not for you to protect us, you... you figure out what’s important!"

Gao Yuan patted Liu Deguang on the shoulder and then said very seriously, "Who said I would die if I went?"

Sighing, Gao Yuan gave a helpless smile and continued helplessly, "Truth is, I can’t be the hero who saves the world. I thought I could, but I can’t. If Doggie dies here, and Mr. Jian, Mr. Hao, if they all die here, I... I can’t accept it, just can’t."

Having said that, Gao Yuan picked up a bag full of hand grenades, but soon he put down the grenades and said, "Better to put on a bulletproof vest, double-layered. Give me a hand."

Lizhizi grabbed a bulletproof vest, and Gao Yuan stuck his head through it. Then he picked up the helmet and secured it on his head, while Xinghe had already picked up Gao Yuan’s backpack.

"Be careful."

Xinghe remained composed as ever, speaking calmly, "We’ll wait here for you. If you can’t make it back, at least let us know. I’ll... try to help you. After all, anything you can do, I can do; anything you can’t, I can do too. So it’s okay."

Gao Yuan gave a bitter smile, "Your words sound a bit odd, but they really make me feel a lot better."

Xinghe smiled and then gave Gao Yuan’s helmet a pat, saying, "Go."

Ashraf had been sitting on the ground, hugging his gun, but at this moment, he finally stood up and casually brushed the sand off his backside.

Renato said urgently, "Wait, you’re only taking a knife? At least take a gun. What’s wrong with a gun?"

Gao Yuan ignored Renato. He looked at Ashraf and said, "You going too?"

Ashraf didn’t understand, but Renato immediately translated for Gao Yuan.

Gao Yuan truly envied those with a talent for languages.

Ashraf nodded and then said with a calm face, "What else would I do staying here?"

Once Renato translated, Gao Yuan nodded and replied, "That’s true, then it’s just the two of us."

Liu Deguang said with extreme helplessness, "You two, just the two of you, and you don’t even speak the same language, sigh, I’m coming too!"

Gao Yuan ignored Liu Deguang and said to Ashraf, "You run too slow, I’ll give you a hand."

Without waiting for Renato to translate or Ashraf to understand, Gao Yuan, with a bag of hand grenades in his left hand, hoisted Ashraf onto his shoulder. Amidst Ashraf’s cries of surprise, Gao Yuan shot forward, sprinting out more than ten meters.

All that was left behind Gao Yuan was a trail of rolling dust. Renato rubbed his eyes, and then pointing at the dust left by Gao Yuan, he said with a trembling voice, "What is this? What on earth is going on? Can any of you explain this to me? You can’t just fob me off with talk of martial arts anymore, can you? Can someone give me a reasonable explanation?"

Xinghe looked at Renato, smiled, and then said softly, "Martial arts, Shenzhou martial arts, that’s martial arts."
