The ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE SYSTEM -
Chapter 75: CONTRACT
Chapter 75: CONTRACT
Chen Yu stared at the screens floating before him—each one representing an ancient force far beyond comprehension.
"So... I can become a Reth," he murmured, his voice low, contemplative. "But how long will it take? What’s the path?"
A dark chuckle echoed from the Void’s screen.
"Kid, you’re thinking this is some kind of game."
"Right now, you’re an S-rank human. That’s nothing."
"From here, your path is this—SS, then SSS, then SR... then SRR... then R... RR... and finally RRR."
Each tier weighed on Chen like a mountain. But the Void wasn’t finished.
"Only after reaching RRR can you undergo the Second Awakening. Even then, your stats will barely reach 500. That’s still not enough to challenge a low-level Reth."
"To even stand a chance, you’ll need to force every stat to at least 800. Only then can you battle a Reth... and take its place."
Chen Yu’s eyes narrowed.
"Then that’s what I’ll do."
But something didn’t sit right with him.
"...So all this time, you were the ones who sent Max too?"
The screen flickered. A pause. Then a response.
"No."
"Even we don’t know who Max truly is. Be careful, kid. There are things out there... even we can’t predict."
Another screen lit up, displaying a line of glowing text.
[Caution: Inquiry Reached Restricted Depth]
[System Surveillance Level Increased]
Chen Yu frowned but said nothing.
After a long silence, he nodded. "Fine. I won’t ask why you need me. Not now."
"But I’ll form a contract with you."
"On one condition—it must be temporary. I can break it whenever I want."
A low ripple of energy surged from the screens.
The Void responded first, voice cold and amused.
"That’s not how it works, human."
Peace Among All Beings replied calmly:
"Agreed."
The End of Everything gave a rare chuckle.
"Fine. I’ll allow it."
Then came the Void again, annoyed but conceding.
"...Tch. Okay, I will too."
Suddenly, another message appeared across the golden screen.
"Kid... choose. Who do you want to form a contract with?"
Chen blinked.
"...Wait. I can only form a contract with one of you?"
Before he could say anything else, Peace Among All Beings sent another message:
"I’ll accept any condition you give. That class you obtained—Lawrenderer—was sealed. I only created it as a joke. Something impossible to acquire. But you got it anyway."
"Your luck... no, your fate, it’s abnormal. So I’ll agree to anything. I can’t stop you now."
The other two grew agitated.
Suddenly, the three began arguing. Screens blinked furiously. Symbols glitched. Energy crackled between them.
Chen Yu took a step back and raised his voice.
"Enough."
They fell silent.
"I’ve made my choice."
"I’m going to form a contract... with all of you."
The screens shook violently. Reality itself trembled.
"Impossible!" the Void roared.
"Arrogant!" shouted the End of Everything.
"Dangerous..." whispered Peace Among All Beings.
But Chen Yu’s smirk deepened.
"I think you all forgot something."
He raised his hand—and the golden mark of his class Lawrenderer shimmered across his palm.
"This class lets me edit the system. I can’t rewrite everything... but some things—I can."
He opened the system interface. His eyes locked onto a sub-menu:
[Constellation Contract Limit – 0/1]
"I’ve used this ability once before. I can only use it three times in my entire life. This will be the second time. And the third... I’ll save that for the day I’m about to die."
Then, calmly, he tapped the field.
[Editing: 0/1 → 0/∞]
A ding echoed. The screen shimmered. The limit broke.
[Constellation Contract Limit: 0/∞]
Chen Yu let out a deep breath. "Now this... feels more like me."
The screens exploded with stunned reactions.
Peace Among All Beings:
"What... have you done?"
Void:
"Peace, what ability did you give this boy?! How can you create a class like that?!"
End of Everything:
"This wasn’t supposed to be possible..."
Peace Among All Beings finally responded.
"I told you... I’m better than you both."
"This class was a joke. A broken artifact. But now? Maybe... it’s exactly what this universe needs."
Chen Yu stepped forward, eyes glowing.
"I accept the contracts—all three of them."
A final notification burst across the system screen:
[Universal Contract Formed: 3/∞]
[New Powers Awakened... Initializing Transfer...]
And just like that, the world began to twist.
Chen Yu staggered, vision flickering. A rush of cosmic force surged into his body.
"What... is this—?"
His knees buckled. His consciousness wavered.
"Too much...!"
The last thing he saw was the flashing message across the system:
[Warning: Overload Detected]
[Host Unconscious – System Lockdown Engaged]
Then darkness swallowed him whole.
In a realm far beyond human comprehension—where time coiled like serpents and stars blinked in submission—three supreme entities hovered in a sphere of pure existence.
The Void, a swirling mass of eternal darkness, let out an irritated growl.
The End of Everything, cloaked in crimson entropy, laughed dryly.
The Peace Among All Beings, radiant and composed, exhaled a sigh.
"Tch... He collapsed," muttered the Void.
"We forgot to tell him, didn’t we?" the End of Everything chuckled.
Peace Among All Beings nodded slowly. "Yes... we were too focused on the contract."
"The convergence of our powers," it whispered.
"They will clash. They always do."
The Void hissed, coils of nothingness writhing.
"We’ve done this before. Every time our successors failed to handle our essence. It tore them apart."
The End of Everything frowned slightly for once. "I thought this time would be different. I really thought I found my successor."
Peace shook its head. "We all did. But we were fools to forget—he is still human."
For a long moment, no one spoke.
Then the Void finally said, "...If he dies, I’m not playing again."
"Nor I," whispered Peace.
"...One last game," the End of Everything agreed, his voice quieter than usual.
They turned their attention toward Earth, to a lonely boy surrounded by forces that had collapsed galaxies.
[Scene Shift – Earth, Unknown Location]
Chen Yu lay unconscious on a cracked obsidian platform, body hovering just inches above the surface. His body trembled as energies surged wildly around him.
First came a flood of demonic crimson—the dark pact he made with Hui’er, a demon noble. It howled around his body like a beast barely leashed.
Then came a storm of electric blue—Vornark’s lightning energy, sharp and fast, filled with explosive might and rage. It crackled violently as it clashed with the demonic aura.
Following that, a void opened—pure darkness, thick and consuming, the power of the Void itself. It hissed at the lightning and suffocated the demonic fire.
Soon after, the air shimmered—a gold-white brilliance descended, tranquil yet divine. This was the holy energy of Peace Among All Beings, opposing the darkness not out of hatred, but balance.
But none of them yielded.
Each energy screamed, roared, hissed, sang—they circled Chen Yu like predators around prey. And yet, something was different.
In the very center of it all... a new energy stirred.
Pure white. Ethereal. Silent. Unshakable.
It pulsed not with violence but with absolute authority.
This... was the Energy of the Law of the Universe.
The energies of the Reths fought viciously, trying to dominate one another. The air cracked with power that could flatten continents. But no matter how fiercely they battled, they could not touch that white core.
It remained... untouched.
It didn’t resist. It didn’t push back. It simply existed—perfect and complete.
And slowly, as if obeying an ancient rule none of them could defy...
The chaotic energies began to bend.
The crimson demonic power bowed first, pulled into orbit by the white core like a moon around a planet.
Next, the lightning storm slowed, its fury dimmed, and followed.
The Void writhed—but was eventually drawn in, like a shadow forced to take shape under sunlight.
Finally, the holy aura dimmed and joined the rotation, not in defeat... but in peace.
All four energies now revolved around the white law energy, no longer trying to overpower one another—but held in delicate harmony by a single force:
Chen Yu’s will.
Because only a Lawrenderer could bend laws.
And only he could bend the will of the Reths.
Suddenly, a golden sigil appeared beneath his hovering body. Runes of forgotten age spun around him, etching a massive, glowing circle into the ground.
[Universal Sync: Stage I Complete]
[Compatibility Rate: 100%]
[Warning: Core Expansion Imminent]
Chen Yu’s body convulsed.
His skin glowed. His veins pulsed with shifting color. His chest lit up like a second sun.
He floated higher—five meters in the air—surrounded by the spiraling storm of energies. His back arched. His mouth opened—but no sound came out.
Then—
BOOM.
A pillar of white light shot into the sky, breaking through clouds, parting dimensions.
Everyone within thousands of miles saw it.
All who were sensitive to energy felt it... and feared it.
A monster?
A god?
No one knew what had awakened.
And then, in an instant... silence.
The light vanished.
The energies dispersed.
Chen Yu’s body dropped—but landed gently, as if caught by invisible hands. His breathing was shallow but steady.
He lay still, wrapped in a faint silver aura—the residue of the Law itself.
Far above, the Reths watched silently.
"He endured it..." whispered Peace.
"No. He did more than endure," said Void, voice full of quiet respect.
"He made our chaos bow," murmured End of Everything, smiling faintly.
And for the first time in eons...
The three greatest forces in the universe felt something they never expected to feel.
Hope.
