Chapter 51: The Eastern Empire 7

Chapter 51: The Eastern Empire 7

(Third Person POV)

All the screens in the world began displaying the same scene — the arena where Orlax and the others were present.

People focused intently, trying to understand what this strange broadcast was and what would happen next.

"I shall explain to the viewers who are feeling confused by the current situation."

A man with blue hair and a mask covering the upper half of his face appeared on screen, his smile clearly visible to the audience.

"The emperors Orlax Tirshtain and Zelfan Avaron are currently trapped in my illusion."

The screen then showed the faces of Orlax and Zelfan to everyone before returning to the blue-haired man.

"This illusion has another useful feature — it can extract the memories of those trapped inside and project them for all to see."

The moment these words were spoken, the entire world was shocked by the existence of such an illusion, one no one had ever heard of before.

Orlax was the most shocked of all, and he began thinking about the memories of his past life.

’I must stop this broadcast immediately. If my memories are revealed, it would cause endless trouble.’

Before Orlax could move, a translucent blue screen appeared before him with a few words written on it:

[The user’s memories from their past life are protected by the system and cannot be viewed by anyone in this world.]

’That’s good... No, it’s very good. Through this broadcast, I can fully clear my name of all false accusations. It seems the Rainbow Organization is about to do me a great favor.’

Orlax stood firmly in place, arms crossed, a faint smile forming on his face.

"And so, through this illusion, we shall reveal today the atrocities committed by these individuals."

The blue-haired man’s grin widened as he grew more excited for what was about to unfold.

"Now, we begin with the man whose memories everyone is most eager to see — Orlax Tirshtain. The man who coldly slaughtered his entire family. Though he presented evidence of his innocence, everyone in the world knows it was just a lie he fabricated."

The scene around Orlax began to change gradually. He was now standing in the throne room, and the events of that day started to flood back into his mind.

"The entire world will now witness the truth of what happened that day. Let the show begin."

The image on every screen changed, now showing the throne room.

The emperor sat on his throne, observing the princes and princesses gathered below.

"Let the royal battle begin."

As soon as the former emperor spoke these words, the princes and princesses began fighting among themselves.

At the time, Orlax’s full strength was unknown, so no one targeted him directly, fearing they’d lose the battle quickly.

While everyone fought, Orlax calmly observed, fending off the occasional attack directed at him.

This continued until the former heir began ascending the steps to the throne and finally stood before the former emperor.

He gripped his sword tightly and stabbed the emperor directly.

People around the world watched this scene unfold, confirming Orlax’s version of events from after the battle.

The fight continued as described, and the scene paused only after the emperor’s death and the arrival of Armanthor into the hall.

"..."

It was as if the world had suddenly gone silent — no more sounds, only stunned silence.

Everyone watched in shock as the memories unfolded before their eyes.

A faint smile appeared on Orlax’s face as he saw the scene conclude.

"Hahaha, it seems His Majesty Orlax wasn’t lying after all."

The blue-haired man chuckled, his smile hideous to everyone seeing it on screen.

"But... even though we were wrong about that incident, Emperor Orlax committed a heinous crime four years ago — slaughtering the former empress along with dozens of innocent soldiers."

His wide smile returned, this time filled with confidence that the next scene would serve his purpose.

"This crime is confirmed, and I’m sure everyone is curious to know what happened on that day. Aren’t you?"

Upon hearing those words, a frown appeared on Orlax’s face.

’I don’t want to see that scene again... I must stop it.’

Orlax finally began to move, desperately searching for any way to stop the illusion, but the scene changed again.

This time, it showed a small boy with black hair and red eyes, carrying small bags as he walked down the street.

People across the world watched the child, who looked innocent — a far cry from the cold-hearted emperor they knew.

The boy walked until he reached a worn-down house, freezing when he saw several guards stationed at the entrance.

’No, no, stop it, you bastard. I don’t want to see this again.’

Orlax began to panic, searching for any way to halt the ongoing illusion.

But contrary to his wishes, the scene continued. The boy dropped the bags he was carrying and ran toward the house.

In the Imperial Palace – The Empress’s Room

Riana sat on a couch watching the scene from four years ago, her fists clenched tightly.

"Everything changed on that day."

She watched nervously, recalling Orlax’s words from when they were in that cave.

"Now I’ll see what you saw that day."

When the boy entered, a scene unfolded that shocked everyone to their core.

The empress was sitting on a couch, an amused smile on her face as she watched a woman bleed out from a stab wound.

"How did you become like this, sister? I never knew you were that kind of person."

Catherine sat in Orlax’s room, tears falling from her eyes as she watched the shattered image of her sister.

The scene continued — the boy rushed to the bleeding woman and began to cry over her condition.

In the arena where this scene was currently being broadcasted, Orlax ran around in a frenzy.

"Stop, you bastard! I told you to stop right now!"

He shouted in anger as the scene repeated before his eyes.

A heavy, suppressive aura began to form around him — a mix of imperial presence and killing intent.

He quickly turned to Elena, who had been silently observing everything.

"Elena, activate your unique ability, now!"

Elena snapped out of her shock and looked at Orlax before nodding.

But it was already too late — everyone had seen Orlax’s mother utter her final words.

Orlax’s curse activated, flames began to form around him, and the empress was burned alive while screaming in pain.

Suddenly, a wave of darkness engulfed the entire arena, and the people behind the screens could no longer see anything.

The blue one was looking around stupidly as he watched all these things being revealed and his plan had completely failed and he had not succeeded in his goal.

However, everything that was revealed today had already changed the world’s perception of Orlax.

Within the darkness-covered arena, nothing was visible.

Elena moved through the dark as if walking through a well-lit room, slowly approaching the silent Orlax.

"Elena, tell me."

Orlax spoke as he sensed her drawing near, eyes locked on his sword.

"What is the best way to torture someone — to make them wish for death instead of continuing to live?"

Before Elena could answer, Orlax cut her off.

"No. You don’t need to answer."

’Ever since I opened my eyes in this world, people seemed to forget that I am at the Grandmaster level.’

The Grandmaster level is entirely different from all other power levels.

Not because of the sheer strength one possesses — no, it’s far beyond that.

Those who reach this level undergo a complete transformation in their physical structure, becoming different from normal humans.

They begin to see the world in a way no one else could imagine unless they, too, reached that level.

A person might train for hundreds of years and never reach Grandmaster.

On the other hand, someone who picks up a weapon for the first time might achieve it.

What seems normal to the average person, appears bizarre to a Grandmaster.

And the reverse is also true — what seems strange to most, is utterly natural to them.

Orlax gripped his sword tightly, focusing deeply on the reason he reached this level, and entered a strange state of stillness.

It was as if he were standing alone in the arena — everything else vanished.

He raised his sword high with his right hand and began to lower it slowly, as if in slow motion.

The scene around him shifted, returning to reality.

Before him, the darkness appeared to have been cut — a rift opened through it.

Through this rift, he saw the arena completely destroyed, revealing the outside world.

On the ground was a perfectly clean slash, so deep no one could see its bottom.

But the most shocking scene was when people looked up to the sky.

The clouds had been completely split — moved to opposite sides.

That day, as people outside witnessed the scene, it truly looked as if the sky itself had been cut in half.
