Chapter 87: Chapter 087: Try to touch her_1
"Hmm, but you do work from home," Ye Ranran remarked after a thought.
As the CEO of a public company, Jun Mochan naturally had a lot on his plate. However, no matter how busy he was, he would always come home to have dinner with her.
He would bring his endless work home, processing it in his study after dinner.
If something happened to her, he would definitely be by her side.
"Actually, you don’t need to keep me company every day. I can manage by myself..."
"Mrs. Jun, are you implying that I, your husband, don’t need to eat or rest?" Jun Mochan asked sternly.
"Of course not! I was just worried that you might be overworked," Ye Ranran explained hastily.
Seeing her anxious, a smile spread across Jun Mochan’s handsome face. "I won’t get tired. No matter how busy I am, I always have time to keep my wife company."
These words were the most beautiful declaration of love Ye Ranran had ever heard.
Being there is the deepest confession of love.
Time is always valuable, especially for people like Jun Mochan. If he’s willing to spend that valuable time with you, it is enough to show you his priority.
This is far more real than saying ’I love you’ frequently.
"Mr. Jun, it feels wonderful to be your wife. Do you feel the same joy being Ye Ranran’s husband?" Ye Ranran lifted her face and asked with a smile.
Her eyes were clear, no ripples disturbing the calm within them, only careful observation would reveal her anxiety.
She seemed to ask casually, but Jun Mochan could hear the seriousness in her tone.
He gripped her hand tightly, whispering in her ear, "Being married to Ye Ranran is joy enough for me."
Ye Ranran almost burst into tears. When everyone else left her, Jun Mochan was the one who offered her the final bit of warmth.
She blinked, holding back the tears in her eyes. "Mr. Jun, I’m hungry. Let’s go home for dinner."
"Let’s go, Mrs. Jun."
...
After dinner, Jun Mochan pulled out a small red box from his pocket.
Under the surprised and expectant gaze of everyone, he opened the box, and knelt down on one knee in front of Ye Ranran.
"Even though you’ve married me, it seems I’ve never formally proposed. I hope my lady won’t mind it being late."
Saying that, Jun Mochan took out a ring from the box and held it out. "My lady, will you marry me?"
"Having already been addressed as such, can I refuse?" Ye Ranran stretched out her hand.
Jun Mochan quickly put the ring on her finger.
"Now that you have put on the ring, you are tied to me forever. You cannot leave even if you want to," Jun Mochan wrapped his arms around her.
If not for her injury, he would have lifted her up and twirled her around.
Ye Ranran leaned against his chest, listening to his heartbeat and smiled.
She felt like she could hear the sound of happiness.
After her bath, Ye Ranran studied the ring in her hand.
"What’s the matter? Are you dissatisfied with something?" Jun Mochan emerged from the bathroom and sat beside her.
"Isn’t it a bit too gaudy?" Ye Ranran frowned, "I just started a new job, and I’m still new. Wearing such a huge, shiny diamond ring – wouldn’t it look too flaunting?"
Jun Mochan took her hand and examined the ring. "It’s not big, it’s just right. If it were too small, people wouldn’t notice. It would be terrible if someone with poor vision tried to flirt with you."
Ye Ranran laughed at his comment. "Aren’t you afraid I might get robbed?"
Jun Mochan’s eyes immediately darkened. "Who would dare to touch you his way?"
Seeing such a strong murderous intent from the usually gentle Jun Mochan startled Ye Ranran.
"I was just joking. Don’t get so tense," Ye Ranran laughed, lightening the mood.
