Chapter 506: Chapter 507: Zhao Feiyan’s Habits
Having carefully checked the important people mentioned in the email, Chu You closed his screen and looked out of the window to find the day had already broken.
Without any moves from Chu You, the windows in the bedroom automatically opened -- not fully, just halfway to let the fresh air in. At this time, he could hear human voices and the sound of traffic from outside.
Although this was a villa district, Chu You knew that most of the tenants were students from the distant Royal University. Few of them rented alone; they were mostly shared rentals.
So, there was quite a lot of foot traffic here. He could see many people in the mornings and evenings.
Standing up and moving to the window to gaze at the street scene, Chu You savored his cigarette. Although he hadn’t slept all night, there wasn’t a trace of exhaustion in his eyes.
At this moment, he noticed a graceful stepping sound outside the bedroom door. It must be Bao’er.
He glanced at the time to find that it was already seven in the morning. There didn’t seem to be any movement from Zhao Feiyan’s villa across the way.
After taking the last puff and putting out his cigarette, Chu You walked to the bedroom door and opened it, immediately hearing the sound of running water for brushing teeth from the communal bathroom nearby.
He walked over, turned the corner, and found petite Bao’er grooming herself, her attire looked cozy and her hair was somewhat messy.
"Young Master Chu?" A familiar voice emerged, Chu You looked unperturbed at the staircase entrance as a woman, Chef Zhou Zhijun, stood looking at him in disbelief. It seemed she didn’t expect to see him at this moment and was caught by surprise.
"Good morning, Sister Zijun!" Chu You greeted, then turned to look at Bao’er. Now she was gaping at him, her toothbrush still in her mouth, equally astonished.
"Good morning, Bao’er!" He said, sounding amused.
"Mhm mhm..." Bao’er made strange sounds with her mouth full, then rinsed and spit out her toothpaste, her voice clear again.
"Brother, good morning. Why are you up so early today?"
As footsteps approached, Chu You knew Zhou Zhijun was coming over. "Hehe, how about I take Bao’er to school today?" he suggested.
"Really? Great, great!" Bao’er’s eyes lit up with unexpected joy, she exclaimed in a delighted manner.
"Young Master Chu, how come you got up so early today?" Zhou Zhijun asked in surprise when she got to his side.
"I guess it’s because he just exited ’Celestial World’, right, Brother?" Bao’er responded with a mischievous smile, glancing at her own clothes.
Seems Bao’er figured out something from what she was wearing. Chu You nodded his approval, "Yes, that’s right, Bao’er is the smartest."
He turned to look at Zhou Zhijun. Although he didn’t speak, it was fairly clear what he was asking with his eyes — what are you doing on the second floor?!
Zhou Zhijun merely held out her hand, on which she was holding a hair tie. "Well, I’m setting Bao’er’s hair. Tomorrow I’m leaving and I’ll be gone for a week."
At this, Zhou Zhijun’s eyes sparkled with excitement as she said, "How about learning to braid Bao’er’s hair? I’ll demonstrate!"
Chu You suddenly understood something. "So the pretty hairstyle that Bao’er had before was your work?" He asked.
"Of course. Bao’er herself is so pretty that she deserves to be dolled up," she replied.
"I am not that pretty..." Bao’er blushed and quietly commented. She stole a glance at her reflection in the mirror, also observing the expression on another person out of the corner of her eyes.
"Bao’er is the most beautiful girl in the world. That’s how you are in my heart," Chu You smiled and then turned to Zhou Zhijun who was smirking, "Of course, you are beautiful as well!"
Zhou Zhijun was wearing a high-neck woolen sweater without a coat. The room wasn’t that cold. At this point, Zhou Zhijun’s prominent bosom was very eye-catching, making people eager to knead it firmly, or even better, bury themselves in its fragrance and savor its scent.
"Well, I’ll wash my face. I will be right back," said Chu You.
"Alright, we will wait for you in Bao’er’s room."
After washing his face and attending to his personal affairs, Chu You indeed walked into Bao’er’s room. Currently, Bao’er was sitting at her dressing table, and Zhou Zhijun was deftly arranging her hair.
While observing, Chu You mentioned, "Oh, by the way Sister Zijun, there’s no need for you to prepare any meals today. No need for lunch, nor dinner because you are leaving tomorrow. Focus on your stuff, I have some affairs. Tonight, I’ll take Bao’er out for dinner."
"Young Master Chu, is this true? You mustn’t inconvenience yourself for me," responded Zhou Zhijun, laughing.
No, that’s the case actually. Well... The way you are braiding seems... complex," Chu You exclaimed after watching for a while.
"Hehe, it is okay. Mhmm," Zhou Zhijun nodded, indicating she was finished braiding. Then she put two red decorative flowers into Bao’er’s hair and combed it gently a few times. After several attempts, Bao’er looked beautiful and effortlessly cute.
Later, when everyone was having the prepared breakfast, a car horn sounded outside. It should be Bao’er’s school bus arrived.
"I’ll go and talk to them. I’m done eating anyway." After putting down his bowl and chopsticks, he got up and left. He walked outside, told the driver that he would take Bao’er to school today and the driver agreed. Eventually, the driver left.
When the car started up, a little boy sitting by the window looked pretty dejected, his heart exceedingly agitated. He hadn’t seen his dream girl.
He didn’t know whether a secret crush counted as a first love, but the thought of Bao’er’s face was too captivating for him to resist. Anyway, he was already deep in love.
He opened the garage door, where two cars were parked. Chu You started the SUV, picked up his phone and checked the route map sent to him by Little Qiao Red Queen, as well as the number of security personnel the other side had.
Before long, Bao’er came out with her backpack. Then she got into the car with Chu You and they left the villa.
"Brother, you seem very cheerful today. The big plan you mentioned must be close to success, right?" Bao’er asked, looking gleeful herself.
"Yes, that’s right!"
Zhao Feiyan’s game pod opened. She came out from it and the pod closed automatically. Her face was slightly downcast. He hadn’t come online since logging off last night. What was he doing?!
She looking apathetically around her bedroom and decided to go freshen up. After finishing her morning routine, she came back to the room with a cloth in her hand. She had a habit, one that had developed since the day she had bought the game pod.
What was it?
After each gaming session, Zhao Feiyan always wiped down the game pod. This was a job she did herself since she also had to clean the interior. If she asked a housemaid to do it and they damaged something inside, what would she do?!
Each time the game pod was closed, it collected unseen dust. Over time, if this dust accumulated, breathing it in could harm a person’s health. This was actually mentioned in the game pod’s instruction manual, but hardly anyone noticed. Zhao Feiyan noticed and put it into practice, eventually forming a habit.
