Chapter 469: Chapter 470 Infrastructure Maniac! (Part 2)

"I apologize for my rudeness earlier. Please, Commander, continue." He promptly lowered his stance at the right time as he noticed a change in her expression, which was quite the sight.

"We will also need 10,000 Heavenly and Earthly Spirit Stones. Perhaps you are not aware, our primary food source is the Spirit Stones, which are, in fact, converted from Gold Coins."

"Furthermore, we need..." At this point, the stunning Commander glanced at Chu You as he interrupted her again.

"Wait, there’s no need to elaborate on the strategic reserves. I already have a task prompt. I know what we need," Chu You interjected, opening his task interface and then continued.

"Do you think these strategic supplies are sufficient for the situation at the Eastern Fortress?" The female Commander suddenly asked. Chu You keenly sensed a hint of a quest in her words. Was she about to assign him a new mission?!

"Eh, I regret to say that I’m not familiar with the situation here, so I can’t assess that. I apologize."

"Although His Majesty had sent you to aid us, this augmentation is far too inadequate. These supplies can, at most, furnish us for twenty days of warfare. He is more wary of us than the enemy from Dongying?" The female Commander abruptly dropped a bombshell.

"Why?" Still not comprehending, he blinked.

"Because, I am the Far East Prince! Everything here is my personal asset, my fiefdom," the female Commander, with her gaze fixed on Chu You, continued, "I inherited my father’s throne, so the Court had to, by custom, assign me as the Commander. But they have always been subtly vigilant of our Jin Family."

I guess your capability must have played a significant role for you to inherit the throne and command. As a woman in her twenties, you are at least a Level 100 Elite and even a Ten Star. Just how formidable are you? Were you born with a Predestined Transcendent Body?

"Um, I’m His Majesty’s envoy. Is it appropriate for you to discuss these matters with me, milady?"

"Because you’re different. Your race makes you stand apart."

"Right then, milady, your discernment is impressive. Anyway... I think I should prioritize accomplishing my tasks."

"What’s your first step?"

"We should first secure the strategic supplies. After all, people are made of iron, and food is steel. These are military provisions, so it’s important," stated Chu You.

"Champion Marquis, you ought to know that providing you with four personal guards is already my utmost effort. However, your mission remains fraught with peril. Be very careful," stated the Commander uncharacteristically, showing concern for him since what he was set out to do was indeed for her.

"Thank you. But rest assured, your bodyguards accompanying me won’t lose a hair under my watch. Otherwise, I shall compensate 1 million Gold Coins for each loss. Alright then, I should be on my way." As he was preparing to take his leave, the female Commander spoke.

"Night Ghost, my real name is Jin Chuiduo. You can address me by my name when we are alone." The female Commander, or Jin Chuiduo, gazed at him mysteriously as she spoke.

"Jin Chuiduo, a lovely name. By the way, can you tell me... if you don’t mind, how old you are?"

"I am twenty-two." Jin Chuiduo calmly revealed her age to him.

"Hehe, noted. Then I shall be on my way."

"Remember, be mindful of everything."

"And one more thing, did His Majesty inform you about the prisoners?"

Jin Chuiduo nodded, "I am aware. I’m curious though, what do you plan on doing with these captives?"

"Haha, they’ll be put to work laboring, of course. Yup, that’s all there is to it. Now I really must be leaving."

Jin Chuiduo watched him leave, wearing an utterly perplexed expression on her face.

Upon exiting the room, Chu You continued down the grand outer hallway. As he did so, he subtly turned around and realized that the four female bodyguards were following him. Judging by their attire, they seemed to specialize in agility. They were attractive with enticingly long legs.

Walk as he did, Chu You broke into a smile. Now, he noticed that the NPCs from his past life, who used to offer him quests, were merely showing reverence towards him, saying little at all. Their behavior reflected a strong disconnect because his level was too low to accept any quests. They saw him as an ant. Could one entrust an ant with a Herculean task?!

Unlike when he first arrived and the NPCs ignored him completely, they now showed him some respect. If not verbally, they, at least, bowed their heads slightly in acknowledgment.

He arrived at a restaurant, which–let’s face it–in a place where shops were few and far between, did vibrant business when the players from his past life could come here. Should he set up a guild exchange here? Eh, perhaps not yet.

After entering, Chu You ordered numerous delicacies and top-quality wines, inviting his accompanying bodyguard team members to dine together.

But just as the food and wine arrived, Chu You stood. "You guys eat first. I have to deal with something... This is an order, sit!" He gave a commanding tone when he saw the bodyguards standing.

Left with the confused ladies, Chu You gave a faint smile before turning and stepping outside.

Though the Eastern Fortress was grand, it had very few guards stationed, with only a single guard visible every few hundred meters. After turning a corner and arriving at an unoccupied training area, he summoned the Night Immortal, boarded it, and it instantly took off. The large ship soared towards the sky and flew off in a certain direction.

The Ten Thousand Gods Sect was his target, its coordinates visible on his map. The Sect was quite a distance away from the Eastern Fortress and filled with dangers for Level-38 Chu You.

However, Chu You wasn’t afraid. He had 70 Battle Demon Princesses with him. How long had it taken them to defeat Level-45, Seven-Star member of the Beast Tribe, Basen?! As long as he didn’t bump into a large group of flying Elite Monsters, he had nothing to fear. Level 100? How did it matter?!

Hmm, to be safe, he should summon Emperor Ji. As soon as he thought it, he did it. Emperor Ji appeared quietly behind him, and they both were now in the ship’s control room.

The ship ascended to 4,000 meters and then flew in a straight line towards the destination at the fastest speed. Chu You reasoned that there were hardly any Experience Monsters at 4000 meters.

If they did encounter any... well, that would indeed mean a fierce battle.

At this juncture, Chu You suddenly thought of a concern. When he had some free time, he should recruit a Ship Maiden. They were more adept at maneuvering the ship than he was, and they could provide significant help to the ship’s Combat Power. But the task was difficult since they were rare talents.

After half an hour, a towering peak appeared in the distance. He cross-checked this on his map and realized instantly it was the Mountain of Ten Thousand Gods–the location of the Ten Thousand Gods Sect, Yan Kingdom’s top-rated sect.
