Chapter 426: Chapter 427 - The Woman in Black Robe in the Mirror (Fourth Update)

Yan Kingdom Announcement: Congratulations to player ’Night Ghost’ for successfully slaying Beast Tribe Commander Basen

"Quickly pick up everything!" After sending Empress Ji a thought, Chu You flew directly towards the purple rift knowing that it had a time limit. Once time was up, the internal space of the rift would begin to collapse.

He was getting closer and closer. Soon, Chu You’s figure directly entered through the purple rift, without any system notification.

As soon as he entered and could see the environment inside, a system prompt appeared: You have arrived in Basen’s Space Ring. This space ring is currently collapsing and will completely break down in one minute. Please leave in time or suffer the consequences.

The environment was a dimly-lit deep blue, with spatial rays visible throughout.

The space was not large, all items within were visible at a glance. However, when Chu You prepared to take everything, the first item, a pile of useless animal hides, made him reconsider.

As he moved around, Chu You noticed a lot of food laid out as well. What a messy collection of stuff!

Then he stopped in his tracks as he spotted an item floating midair. It was surrounded by spatial rays, similar to a slot in a player’s spatial backpack.

These were four blueprints that Chu You swiftly pocketed into his own backpack. Then he moved on to the next item, a money bag that he happily pocketed!

Next, Chu You spotted numerous Dragon Clan materials. After a quick glance at the time, he rapidly stowed them away in his backpack.

There were three Maya Soulstones floating midair, emitting a faint golden light. They were compressed into a small square formed by spatial rays. Suddenly, a big hand reached over and swiftly grabbed the three Maya Soulstones. Chu You quickly moved on to the next item.

There was a pile of scrolls. A seasoned gamer like Chu You noticed that these weren’t buff scrolls or magic scrolls. Then it struck him. With a slight smile, Chu You collected all ten scrolls — these were Intermediate Random Teleportation Scrolls.

Intermediate Random Teleportation Scroll: Applicable to all job-transitioned players. It teleports the player to a random location within 3000 meters after 1 second. It can’t be used in dungeons or special areas. Such scrolls aren’t of much use to him.

However, the sight of the next item filled Chu You with joy. There were ten more scrolls, but unlike the random scrolls above, these were Return Scrolls!

Return Scroll: Applicable to all job-transitioned players. Usage: After using the Return Scroll, players can choose any town they have unlocked from their teleportation array for instant teleportation back to the town! It takes 3 seconds to use and has no cooldown time. This means that since Chu You had opened so many teleportation passages in the Yan Kingdom, he could use this Return Scroll to choose any desired town and would appear at its return point.

This was extremely convenient. For instance, if there was an emergency in English City in the North America region and he was in the wild, he could use the Return Scroll to directly reach English City without having to return to the guild first and then teleport from the guild’s teleportation array to English City.

This was really good. Getting Return Scrolls at this stage was quite lucky.

As Chu You moved along, he realized there were no weapon equipments in the space, which was a bit disappointing.

It seemed like this was the last item. When he reached it, Chu You found a piece of ’furniture’ as tall as himself. Because he wasn’t facing it directly, he couldn’t tell what it was. It appeared to be a large mirror.

Well, this is amusing! Did the Beast Tribe Commander even look at himself in the mirror? Didn’t he know how ugly he was? Or maybe the aesthetic standards of the Beast Race women really differed from humans?!

Regardless, that bas*ard was definitely a narcissist!

Just then, he cast his thoughts aside. With a flicker in his eyes, he her reached out to touch the mirror’s frame. His hand spun it around, and suddenly the mirror’s front was facing him.

Holy sh*t! Chu You’s eyes widened in shock as he swiftly took a step back.

In the mirror, there was actually someone still present! There was still a person inside??

The mirror was like a photograph taken by someone outside of a prison who had aimed the camera at someone inside the cell. The only difference was that the person in this mirror was still alive.

So what Chu You saw was five black bars extending from the top of the mirror to its bottom. Inside these bars, a woman dressed in a black robe was leaning on the side of the mirror. Oddly enough, her background was not a prison, but an all-white area filled with luminous light. It was as if she was leaning against a huge window.

She was still maintaining her posture, only her head was craning upwards at something. She seemed to have very long hair and appeared to sense someone approaching...

Unable to make out the woman’s face, Chu You reached out to touch the mirror’s surface. It felt extremely smooth. The black bars were inside the mirror.

As he did this, the black-robed woman inside seemed to sense it. He saw her stand up, and Chu You noticed her bare feet. The black-robed woman stood upright, with an impressively tall figure. She was still looking upwards - as to what she was looking at was something Chu You couldn’t answer from his angle.

This looked like a trading card of sorts! A supersized trading card!

Due to lack of time, Chu You decided not to study it further. Since the object was able to exist inside Basen’s spatial backpack, logically, it should be able to be stored in his own backpack. Mentally commanding, the mirror instantly vanished from view. Chu You felt an addition of one item in his backpack.

After one last quick scan, Chu You ran back toward the entrance. After taking ten steps out, his body vanished, reappearing fifteen meters ahead. A few seconds later, Chu You fully disappeared from the space.

After exiting, the purple rift behind him disappeared. Apart from the Beast Tribe corpses, there were no dropped items to be seen. Fifty of the seventy Battle Demon Princesses were resting on the ground, twenty were on airborne alert, while Empress Ji quietly stood by herself. Save for the natural sounds, no other noises were present. It was incredibly quiet.

Seeing their master emerge, everyone’s gaze instantly fell on him.

Blinking, Chu You decided to skin Beast Tribe Commander Basen’s corpse first. As a 7-star elite Great Commander, its Demon Crystal could certainly exchange for a lot of Blood Fighting Trophies!
